Merzouga, or more specifically the little town of Hassilabied, is the gateway to the Sahara Desert, home to the Berber Tribes. It features a stunning oasis that is run as a coop, a miraculous well, giant sand dunes with healing mineral powers, exhilarating quad tours, luxury tourist tent camps, some of the ...

    Its obvious that Bulgaria was a different place before comunism came and destroyed what we had build before,we barely got out of the depression and now we are trying to restore our spirit and our cities,before ww2 bulgarians were living in small towns and villages and had land and livestock and were proud strong people with great sense of honour and we were called balkan prussia,cause we didnt had a captured flag or a lost battle,during 1885 war with serbia,1912-1913balkan wars,ww1,ww2....after that comunism came and confiscated all the land ,the animals,and closed our people in tiny comy blocks,and made them to wait for the humiliating cellary,also they murdered the intelectual elite,as they did in poland and many more states,and put simple stupid easy to control people with no education to rule the state,and what was a beautifu well arranged and well governed state(tzardom)became brutal comunist nightmare with concentracion camps.....

    They say you can divide the Camino into 3 parts. The first is physical, the second is the mind (aka the meseta), and the third is the spiritual. Is that something you experienced?

    • @lostamonglocals5382
      @lostamonglocals5382 7 месяцев назад

      Yes and No. I think 500 years ago, yes, but today with good hiking gear and shoes, the first part isn't too bad if you're in decent shape (as long as you don't pull a muscle). It's mostly just sore muscles and blisters for some. The middle was hard on some people. I waltzed through the meseta with ease. We actually found it to be the most social part of our trip, but I can stay all day in my thoughts pretty easily. There were so many groups and tours and people the last part from Sarria that there wasn't much spiritual about it. Many used Santiago as a celebration party or were just worried about getting their certificate. Some had profound spiritual experiences though, so I guess it depends on the state of your heart, what's going on in your life, and how hard the journey was for you. I think it's physical, mental, and spiritual the whole way through for different reasons each day
