Good to see another video! That Derry certainly has a wide turning radius. Thats the main reason i don't like to use it much but it is a good truck for certain applications.
Yes it does, the wheels barely turn on it. It gets a little old having to make 3-point turns everywhere you go. Having said that I agree it has its uses and is still a cool truck.

@The6Guest I'm not sure if it's like that IRL. I can't imagine it would be that bad in a real world application but you never know.
@@The6Guest So... the US military has a really similar vehicle...Oshkosh M1070. And according to a former active duty mechanic that served in both Desert Storm, and one tour in Iraqi Freedom, says that there are different configurations, and most utilize the standard range linkage and box, but all the primary response versions(I guess these are the ones used in close quarters, like city settings.) used the extended range box, and steering linkage which caused the only real breakage issues when "under duress" the drivers went full crank while trying to jam over barriers or entire cars or whatever, and parts of knuckles or axles would shear apart! Making them still able to drive, but without that axle being powered. The literally turn on a dime for a truck that hauls tanks! Like an 8wd forklift he says! Devs had to gimp these things, I'm sure! My son thinks they are definitely the coolest looking rig in the game tho!

Overall a killer walkthrough though! As my son says... "The Derry'll do it!" Maybe not very quick, but it'll trudge through! Hahaha! I dig completing this portion with the P16 too! For my "regular" save I used mod trucks, and tires beyond the JAT's just to do Imandra "reasonably fast!" Lol! The strategy here is truly clutch! It's invaluable. Even if you are a SnowRunner vet. This content just keeps getting better as I become more seasoned! That ridiculous P16 maneuvering while rolling over, firing back up, and throwing a quick winch before rolling back over...🤯😎🥳

This was a fun one to make, and I agree with you the music really drives it home. It felt like, "OK we're at the end now it's time to dig deep and push through this!"
So many regions have just remarkable soundtracks, but not all of them. I'm enjoying the Yukon music for the scouting and then we'll see where the vibe takes us.

Haha I didn't mean for it to be a cliffhanger. I was actually thinking you all would be like "why would he take the P16?", but I enjoy using it on this contract.
Working hard on the finale to get it out ASAP (should be ready by the weekend, possibly sooner). Looking forward to seeing you guys then, wrapping up Kola, and hitting Yukon.

Great to see another episode, zOrShix! But unfortunately, this one and I am sure the next will, too, just brought back some baaaad memories for me of this contract. Meanwhile, I am stuck in Yukon, to the point of setting the game aside for a few weeks. I am hoping that when you get to Yukon you will inspire me to return.

Yukon can be a bit much, especially after this short region of Kola. It's a lot to process when you get there and realize they want you to do so much to complete the contracts. Hopefully I can help when I get there.
Man!! You have to do a Hardmode Run!!! Keep Up with your great videos!!! Ahh and if you don't mind, you can explain more about that video that explain the initial journey of the hardmode..but with more details (routes, etc..)
Glad you're enjoying them. 🙂 I probably will do a hardmode walkthrough when I'm finished with this normal mode run.
I had 4 hrs of footage from that video to make a detailed breakdown of routes and how I did everything, but the community was more interested in me focusing on continuing with the normal mode series so I scrapped it. I don't have the footage anymore and talking it out would be... well a lot of typing (more than this lol). Hopefully you can piece it together from the clips and figure it out, otherwise the alternative is to wait until I start a hardmode series.

@@zorshix Thanks man I’ll be honest I only have used Tuz 420 and and modded azov Antarctic so far planning to use tayga 6436 for logging
@CarrotDoesTheCrazy-YT is that the Iceberg mod you're using? If so that's a pretty good truck. The Tayga should work good for you also.
So I made the mistake of saving and quiting while this mission was active and had to get the points and trucks multiple times. Also learned that each one is different as I couldn't turn in two of the same one from the same location. 😅 next time I'll try to do it in one session.
Something similar happened with the airplane rescue mission as well.
I've heard of this happening to people but haven't encountered it myself. I don't know why it does, but I can totally understand the frustration with it.
I play on Nintendo switch so maby it just doesn't have a way of saving the phases to some missions.
@cmgtbone it was a bug introduced not long ago, at least that was what it sounded like. Multiple reports of people losing progress midway through a contract when shutting the game down. They may have patched it since then idk
9:05 i just go down the left side and around as an alternative path. I had better luck getting across the breakable ice.
Yeah I agree I often go that way also. It's not bad and the ice is easier to cross. 👍
Background music volume is too high
Not sure if you're watching on a mobile device, but sometimes the audio can get out of balance if you have enhancements turned on (like Dolby Atmos). If not, then I apologize for you not having a great experience with it. It's always tricky for me getting it right with so many different types of devices watching.
@@zorshix Yeah, just a bit too high. And I am watching on PC. It wasn't particularly bad, but if I could have turned it down myself (and left your narrative unchanged), I would have.

@@zorshix Not sure if it matters, but I normally listen on a kinda garbage sound system via PC and a TV... Always sounds awesome!
I got a new soundbar today with all the giddy-ups and yer video did sound unusually high volume compared to say a music video. Its probably just me getting used to it, but i too noticed the volume.
EDIT: I had no idea this Dolby Atmos thing, was a thing! Lol! I axed it for this output channel, and it fixed it I think... I also chopped the very top of teh highs, and flattened out the mids too... So that could help with sharpness, but not really perceptable volume... I think yer right, Atmos is fishy! Huh??!!
@rvdeddrift this episode did end up louder than the others, I didn't realize it until it was posted. Dolby Atmos can make the balance between music and voice change also, at least on mobile.
I have a really hard time mixing the audio, as RUclips compresses it when it's uploaded so it's never the same as it is when editing. On top of that I have a cheap mic and cheap headphones so it's always a bit of a gamble on what the final product will be when published.
I'm definitely more cautious about the volumes since this episode and trying to make sure it's just right. I need to get better equipment too, in due time
I’ve missed watching your channel but now I have a new episode to watch. I’m done I’m done with Michigan. It was hard at first but then I got the right truck for it and I finished Michigan, but I didn’t do any of the logging contracts but good to see you posted again just got done with all the tasks on I’m done with the first map of the region and I am going to now I’m going to where the hard stuff is, and you know what I’m talking about i’m done almost with lake move and now I’ll move it on to the other. I’m done with all the stuff by the garage in the other map now I just gotta do all the stuff by the airport and the gateway and then I’m basically done with kola
That's great! The rest of the stuff isn't too difficult, but time consuming. I know you can do it though. 👍
@@zorshix thank you so much for the compliment and I’m done with black river. Also on hard mode. I meant Michigan. I’m done with Michigan on hard mode so now I’m onto it Alaska I have started. I use the 16 to hold a big trailer down by the service side up to the port, I forgot I had to fix the bridge to the port so I did that got two pipe lines done mount river and other Northport and now I’m working on Pedro Bay

@@zorshix hi it’s going so good on snow runner it’s such a fun game. That’s why I love to play it and also I’m done with Alaska on normal mode because yesterday I just finished up Pedro Bay and I got what Northport Mountain river and white valley done so I’m moving on I already moved all my trucks into the garage so they’re already for tomorrow so I will be ready for mud water and rocks
