Received my Spark 2 yesterday and set it up this morning. Have not downloaded the app yet, but will soon. I have a Spark 40 and boy, what a difference in tone! Can't wait to dig into it. Thanks for the demo!
I have a Spark and Spark Mini and love them both. Was thinking of using the discount for previous owners to pre-order a Spark 2, but sadly will not be doing so. As of their last updates, neither my Spark nor the mini will connect the control interface to either my Android phone or my iPad. I've written to Positive Grid about this weeks ago and have received no response. I posted about this in their forum and have received no notification of any comment or response. I then learned this past weekend that my brother's Spark, a gift from me, is behaving the same way. We can only connect to it for audio, but cannot change or alter presets, etc., as the control interface fails to connect consistently. A most unfortunate chain of events. Excellent video, very to the point and informative. Thank you!
@@nYdGeo you mean like the app itself where you get all your tones and what not won’t connect to your phone? Or are you talking about their software? That’s kind of odd that it would not connect. What’s the most recent download called? I mean, I have a mini, but now I don’t know if I should update the firmware
I have the mini already and ordered the spark 2 on launch day. Mine goes on work trips with me. The mini is in Vegas for the week right now. These amps are great. Can’t wait to get my spark 2

Erin, I bought the Spark mini and I just love using it as a small practice amp or Bluetooth speaker. I’ve considered getting that model but I have too many toy now. By the way I truly enjoy you music keep it up!🎼🎸🎶
The Looper having count in is a nice feature. This is a very versatile practice/jamming amp. Got in on the 1st Drop batch. Does the Spark 2 have any SHIMMER Reverbs?
Not gonna sell my PG1, but gotta say I am less than happy with it. Finally updated the firmware to fix a long time problem. BAD IDEA! Doing so has introduced other problems for which I'm not sure if I can fix. The main problem now is trying to get the app to connect to it. Before the firmware update I Never had a problem connecting. It now takes several tries. I sometimes spend 20 mins to connect, then I don't want to play after. At times, it will NOT connect NO MATTER WHAT I DO. It's not the device that I have installed the app. I've tried 3 different phones/tablets (which have all worked well before the f/w update). One thing I have noticed too is that the app practically locks up my phone/tablet trying to connect. Has become a real pain!
I had a similar problem with the last update. Took several contacts with PG service and finally got it fixed. My Spark 40 was one of the first. Really works good now, but I decided to order a Spark 2 and got it yesterday (August 29) and have been playing with it this morning...what an improvement in about well...everything! My Strat actually sounds like a Strat!

I ordered mine August 2 with a ship date late September that slipped to Mid-October.....surprise! I got it yesterday (August 29)! Been having fun with it this morning!
@sgd5k292 I ordered mine on August 2nd as well. But no amp so far. I don't mind waiting. But September is a better receiving date than October. My order went through at 8:02pm on August 2nd. That might be the difference. I was just a little later than you, I'm guessing.

They sent me a Spark 2 before they launched so I could try it out and make a video if I liked it! I bought my first Spark a few years ago though and used it so much as a practice amp on tour! So I was really stoked about the Spark 2. In this video, you're hearing a mi'c room sound! I did a video with direct and that is on Positive Grid's RUclips channel. :)
So can you reorder the effects (you can't on the Spark 40). Also, does this run into the same issue on the Spark 40 where you have a limit on certain effects due to processing power?
Given that we haven’t heard anything about modifying the order of effects, I don’t think that has been revised. Not sure about if there is any more processing power on board that would eliminate certain effects being unavailable depending on any other effects you have selected. Side note, I wish they had a “drippy” spring reverb, but I don’t think Positive Grid added one. Maybe in a future firmware update?

Yes! The count-in is super helpful. I think there might be a shimmer reverb but I'll need to check!

can you adjust loop volume phisically on the spark or it's possible only by the app?
I believe for the loop volume, it is currently only adjustable on the app.
