Hey Sergio.. the Retroarch player 02 controllers for the MVC2 cab currently don’t work. Hopefully there will be a patch for that in the future. For the mapping. Once you have mapped the buttons… they should be good for the majority of the games, but some games you might want to fine tune the controls for a game or a core. To do this, go to: Input/ Hot Keys/ Menu Toggle: Select the combination you prefer… I chose “Start + Select” (Which is the Player 1 button + Live button). Then “Run” the game then press the aforementioned buttons at the same time to bring up the menu screen. Go to Controls/ Port 1 controls and you can tweak them there. Once finished go to Controls/ Manage Remap Files and save the remap file for that game or for the core. Please Like, Share and Subscribe! I will do another video specifically for Retroarch. Note: There is also a bug with Retroarch… there are times when you will launch Retroarch and you will get a message “Extracting Base APK” which will cause some of the configurations to reset (e.g. On-screen display menu, Hot Key Menu.. etc.) so you will have to make the changes again.

3. Yes, it’s possible just load up the ROMs on the SD card. Create a Folder called ROMS on the SD card and add all the ROMs. Insert the SD card into the cab and launch Retroarch. Run the core. Then in Retroarch select Load Content:
/Storage/The SD card will be called an eight digit number ####-####. Select that then find the RoMs folder, launch the ROM.
i am going thru this process step by step and there is a lot of content across youtube and all of it is unorganized. this isn't a tutorial on how to get the apks very frustrating for people learning. great video btw
Hey… you can getmost files from the Internet Archive site and do a Google Search for the rest. Type in the file names as per the description in this video.
Hello I'm trying to map de controllers for the player 01 in RetroArch, saved the mapping but once I load a game with a core it does another mapping. Also I can't map the controllers for the player two (my arcade is the same arcade1up marvel vs Capcom 2) thanks in advance
To do this, go to:
Input/ Hot Keys/ Menu Toggle:
Select the combination you prefer… I chose “Start + Select” (Which is the Player 1 button + Live button).
Thank you so much I'll see how it goes and I'll let you know!
@@sergiojimvi1 I’ll try posting a video on Retroarch later this week… I’ll cover things like recommended settings, getting Sega CD and 3DO emulators to work, and some of the nuisances of Retroarch on this cab. Keep an eye out for that!
Thanks a lot, hotkey enable fixed my problem! I'm looking forward to watching the video of your suggested mapping options both for the menu, in-game controls and hotkeys.

Hi how well does Ninja Baseball Batman and the PS1 Tekken games run?
I haven’t tried those games yet. 2D animation games run fine… not sure about 3D animation games (probably wont run as smooth).
Maybe someone else can confirm?
If I follow this guide will it allow me to play snes games with retroarch?
Yes, this guide will help you with. installing Retroarch. Then at around the 16:45 mark make sure you install the Super Nintendo Cores (e.g Snes9x …etc)
@jcsworld69 thanks! Will try it tonight! Thanks for the quick reply and thanks for this guide!
Hmm I wonder if I did this in revere could I pull the data from the cab and play the os on a pc?
Not sure to be honest, try using the file manager… let us know if you have any luck.
@@jcsworld69 yea imma experiment
I test these apps when I mod them on an android phone. first off I do not use app cloner, when you install these on phones your controller may work but it will not let you put a coin in unless you have the encoder board made for the cab and somehow can hook it up also you may be able to install it in an android emulator on a pc,but I’ve seen a video of someone do that and sometimes the game don’t even boot these apps are coded to play with the encoder board made for it.they are also made for android so your better off just testing stuff on an android device
So after this softmod that pretty much puts all the atreet fjghter A1UP cabinets into one, I'm still able to play online on the servers like it was still the A1UP cab right
@@kjmullinz hey… you can continue to play the original games online.
The games added by the soft mod will be local play only.
Do player 2 controls work ok for the apk games? I understand its only 1 player on retroarch.
Hi Raoul, yes … player 2 works on the APK’s!! 👍👍 It’s like having the actual cabinet. The only thing that doesn’t on the APK’s is the Online play. Please hit that like button and subscribe!!
My keyboard nor mouse works in order to map the button on retroark. Any tips or clue as to why this is happening?
Sorry… not sure.
Have you tried a different keyboard/mouse?
Ok but why that music?
Will retroarch run genesis Roms with this soft mod?
Yes, Genesis and SNES will run on Retroarch.
App cloner version doesn't seem to exsist anywhere??? Is there an alternative or anyone know what can be done as every versio I find seems to stop working in some shape or form
Try searching the Internet Archive site for that version.
@@jcsworld69 I cannot find it unlocked anywhere :( when trying to install any version i find it states I need to upgrade to to any cloning. I am stuck....

@@misterprash when I installed app cloner on mine, I got a green screen that said “Go Premium - upgrade the premium version for a multitude of options to tweak or personalize cloned apps or to create additional clones”. I clicked “Finish” and that was it.
Is this what you’re seeing?
Does it allow you to close it and proceed?
Great tutorial on this.
The only concern I have is making sure I cant accidentally delete the game icons on the main select your arcade1up menu.
My 4yr old son managed to do this on the simpsons.
Is there an option to avoid this?

Weird, which combination of buttons did they hit on the control panel?
Or did they delete it while a keyboard was plugged in?
@jcsworld69
It seemed like when the widget icon for an apk game is highlighted on the "Choose A1up" screen, you could hit and hold a button on the control panel? (It has been a while), but it would que a small pop-up that had the option to delete or hide, I think it was. The keyboard or mouse was not plugged in.
I was wondering if it was an option for the widget icons I could change so you couldn't delete with button combinations.
Thanks in advance
@@jcsworld69don't know for sure which combination
@@TheChallenger1980 with the way this is set up, I don’t think it’s possible to delete the shortcut using arcade sticks/buttons.
Is it possible to add any other cabinets to this namely mortal kombat or ms pacman 40th ?
Hi zm332,
To my knowledge the MK cabs are not Android based, therefore there isn’t an APK available.
To play MK you would need to install Retroarch and get the rom(s).
So ive tried multiple keyboards and a recommended one but retroarch says not configured for it when i intially try and set up retroarch and press to the right. Same version of retroarch as yours too. Does it need to be plugged into usb using wire or does wireless dongke work? Thanks
Hey Gatsu3D2A, When I modded mine I used a Lenovo Keyboard (Model: SK-8825). It was connected via USB. I modded two different MVC2 cabs with it, and didn’t have any issues.
I'm in the same boat tried multiple keyboards no go
I cannot find the big blue v1.2.2 APK anywhere.
Did you try the Internet Archive site?
Hello friend, great content as always. Quick question, not sure if you would know. Could I run MVC2 on my yoda flame edition machine? If I could would it have any issues, thanks in advance for your help 😊
Hi Lovepets8495… unfortunately The Yoga Flame can cannot run the MvC2 APK.
However you might be able to get it running on an emulator such as Flycast.

I’m getting an error message of parsing the package. What step am I missing?
When is it giving you that error? Which step of the tutorial are you at?
Why does this look like an mvc1 cab. Can you install mvc2 on the mvc1 cab?
Hey Adiflyguy… this video is of the second cab I soft-modded.
My first soft-mod was the MvC2 cab, my second soft-mod was a MVC1 cab with the MVC2 PCB.
These steps will not work on a stock MVC1 cab.
When I try to play marvel vs capcom 2 it says I have to do a online update and it freezes and crashes back to the nova launcher, do you have any idea how to fix that issue?
Sorry no, I didn’t encounter any of that. If it’s giving you issues try factory resetting and start again.
Hey I’m having a problem with the clone program, It’s crashing when I’m trying to use it.
It also blocked me from starting the big blue cloning by not letting me change the clone number.
Is there any fix for this ?
Hey… sorry, I haven’t encountered that. You might be better off factory resetting it and starting over again.
@@jcsworld69
I actually factory reset already, is there a place you got your apk from ? Maybe the version I got is not working. It pops up asking if I want premium features and the maybe later and buy now options are at the bottom. After I press maybe later it crashes shortly after.
It worked for a moment once and after that it blocked me after trying to change the clone number version.
I believe it was in the Internet Archive site.
Internet archiveeee ahhh I must need an unlocked version for it to work
Ok I fixed the crashing by taking out my sd card (it’s a 126gb)
Does this work on the marvel vs capcom 1up Arcade table top ?
Hey…
No, these steps are only for the MVC 2 cab.
So no online for the other APK's?
Correct, the online only works for the 8 original games.
Is it possible to get marvel super hero’s apk on it ? To add punisher ?
Hi Ninja, the Marvel Superhero’s cab doesn’t run on Android, therefore there isn’ an APK for it.☹️
To get Punisher running on the MVC2 cab, install Retroarch. 👍

Hey James, I think the steps are slightly different.

what is this mod what does it due.
This allows you to install other games (APKs) from Arcade1Up to you cab as well as Retroarch for even more games.

Yes, you can continue to play the original games online. However, the games that were added as part of the mod will not work online.

there are some steps missing
in the beginning when you format the sd then turn off the 1 up, then put the sd in your computer you should say transfer all the retro arch files to the sd. A good you tuber would say see link below for links. the way you said it in the video is as if you are copying the files from 1 up to your PC, and that is not the case. it's completely in reverse. this whole video is out of order.
step one. locate the files needed on retro arch. put them on ur PC. then put the SD card in ur 1 up and format. this simple thing will confuse more viewers than it does help. remember people are stupid.
