You couldn't even pretend to portray Trump in a positive light without a bunch of people getting pissed. Using this video as an example, the joke is in portraying Obama as a superhuman who can magically do everything people could ever want a President to do, despite how unrealistic it would be for any President; it's important to note that this video's premise would work with literally any President. However, I can imagine that this video would be received much differently if it were Trump portrayed as a superhero, despite the actual joke being exactly the same.
I think their secret was they not only made fun of both sides they made every political official the extreme of themselves

+Vic B Despite his tone, this is pretty much correct. This word play between "created jobs" and "unemployment" is comparable to whenever politicians talk about improving the "deficit" when that actually means the "national debt" is still increasing.
This came out when I was 8 years old. I had no idea who Obama was, and just listened to this on repeat with my cousins, absolutely rocking out to it.

Now as for Biden he started with an economy just as bad if not worse then Obama did but I also don’t think Biden has a plan like Obama did.

Hell, annual spending under Trump’s administration passed $4 trillion for the first time. Where were the efforts to reign it in by cutting spending? After years, coming back and watching this has only made it funnier.
Now, I never really hated Obama or anything, but I found he just went far above and beyond with all his promises. And yeah, I know politicians will usually promise a lot, but it did seem like Obama was promising to change the entire world with his magic powers.
He overpromised, but people seemed to expect more than even what he said. Which is odd, since usually people expect LESS from a politician.

Carter got more of his policy proposals through Congress than Kennedy, Reagan, Bush Sr., Bush Jr., and Obama. The only president since Eisenhower with a better batting average in the Congress was Johnson.

Just like Obama, he was dealing with the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression up to then. It’s almost like recessions make it difficult for the President to control the deficit. juan alot of the stimulus money went to the banks and bank ceos (the bourgeois) despite them being the cause of the recession in the first place. its argued that it was necessary to save the economy but the bank ceos famously gave themselves bonuses and were not put in jail for their key role in causing the recession. this illustrates a common thread within american politics in where the rich get taken care of by the government, while the poor gets the consequences of the rich
