- We take a look at how to Mod the packout better. For the need of a removable handle on the rolling packout cart 48-22-8426 there are a few options. So far all the ones i've seen are not very good. So we find the best way to do this using a cotterless hitch pin. We believe this is the best option on the market today.

Great solution! Thanks for the disclaimers -- I like to be able to lower the handle.
Perfect. Been thinking about buying this and had none of this information.
Thanks for the method and instructions to mod the Packout roller. Curious if anyone has done similar to Ridgid 1.0… I got several of them as well.
Nice, I'll probably copy this exactly eventually but right now I'm using the compact tool boxes on top of the rolling box and they stupidly designed them to not open all the way if the handle isn't all the way down 🙄I wish Milwaukee would just hurry up and make an updated rolling box with all the features we need and want already built in, but I feel they have a couple more years of useless wall mount packout crap to release before they get around to that.
SO !!! We Need to Think Outside the BOX!!! Great Video! SO !!!
Cool 😎 thanks
Wish they would've just made it like the dewalt 2.0. The same button that extends the handle also holds the handle to the box. If u press the button again (while its all the way up) and pull the handle it will slide right out of the box. Same way husky did it. Super simple. Milwaukee dropped the ball on that one 🤦🏽♂️
Could drop the handle all the way if you drilled back through the holes with it down after
saved me the comment lol, this mod looks useful i’ll definitely be doing this and then doing a hitch pin. this should have been a feature already
Thanks for sharing.
Won’t work for me though. I need to be able to move the handle up and down without removing the handle. This method requires the handle to be fully extended all the time.
You could drill an additional hole for the lowered position
Thanks for the idea but it won’t be easy to use how I would prefer. You would need to try to align the hole every time you want to adjust the handle height and would not be practical so it wouldn’t be used.
I’m curious…Do you have this pack out box to try this method and your idea of a second hole?
@@nelsod76 I have 2 rolling boxes and did the knurled screw mod and absolutely hate it, the screw is too small and I have alignment issues, additionally I go over steps, stairs and rough terrain that I stopped carrying these and started using crates. Only reason I saw this is because the crates were getting too heavy/full that I started looking into these, I went to HD last night to get some pins and will be doing this mod because of the added strength
Cool
Let us know it works out please
So, when do you think Milwaukee will make the handle removable.
Rumor has it, on the latest iteration of the devices they made then handle sink downward enough to not be an issue. not necessarily removable though.
😂😂🤣 stop doing it wrong!!! Proceeds to do it the absolute worst fucking way possible. Not even close 🤣🤣🤣
Makita drill ??? Really 😂
I had a friend try to give me a brand new one part of a promotion I said no thanks at first but it ended up being a very good drill and the price was right
No thanks
bro you think thats doing it right cmon
Why you wearing your Kobalt shirt inside out? Milwaukee send this dude some clothes.
Your kidding right..??
Why not just lay the box down and strap it down so it doesn't roll? Then the tall handle is no problem in your pickup 🥸🤥?
Yeah da. That’s practical.
