I'll always remember the 2015 Kansas City Royals...not just for winning the World Series, not just for the ALCS vs the Blue Jays, but for the amount of bench-clearing melees they were involved in that whole season. They literally kept pi$$ing people off every other week with their antics. The late Yordano Ventura, god rest his soul, was definitely in the middle of a lot of these confrontations Lol. The Royals, mind you now, they had a heck of a team in 2015 and topped it off with their World Series championship. But they sure did they leave their mark on baseball that year, not just for their championship season, but for their series of on-field melees with just about every other team they played that season.
The teams that picked those fights with the Royals had gotten used to beating and bullying the Royals, once the tables were turned they cried like babies.
100% agreed. He was a consistent aggressor & coward, a tough combo that I imagine made him difficult to like within his own team. Still, awful break for him & his family as we'll never know if he'd have turned it around.
@@brennanbarnes7628 Watch how slowly his infield came to his support after he plunked Machado in Baltimore. Catchers always try to wrestle hitters to the ground when they charge the mound but the KC catcher clearly was willing to let Machado get one good punch in before he would step in to stop things. Machado nailed him fairly solidly, though those two fighting is really two punks going after each other.
The one thing no one ever seems to talk about is the obvious fact that Yordano Ventura simply got emotionally charged by comebackers to the mound. I'm a Tigers fan not a Royals fan, and I'm not defending him. But that always gets left out. The benches clearing with the White Sox was because of a comebacker to the mound. Him jawing with Mike Trout was because when Trout got a base hit prior to scoring, it was a scorched base hit back up the middle. Almost all issues involving Ventura were because of a rocket back towards the mound, which of course isn't of any fault towards the batter. They take what they can get. But some sort of self defense mechanism came alive every time someone hit one back towards Ventura. He even does a little flash play on a comebacker in Game 6 of the 2014 World Series. He was never calm about them.
Dude was such a moron. I wished someone cleaned his clock. I remember that incident with Trout. Trout was like what are you doing. Ventura was such a POS.
The vast majority of these fights involve Yordano Ventura. Maybe he's related to Robin (fight with Nolan Ryan, 1993). Might've been Ventura's sendoff to Ryan as he retired after the season.
There's a reason why assholes like Ventura and Fernandez act like children then get themselves killed. Almost like you need to grow up to survive in the real world.
Ventura was killed in a car accident Jan. 22, 2017 in the Dominican Republic. It's too bad, he had a promising career as a Pitcher in the Royals Organiztion. He was only 25 year's old.
I’ve always wondered why don’t the bullpens just duke it out back there like if I’m a relief pitcher I’d trip the shit out the bullpen heading toward the main group 😂 but that’s just me
It always cracks me up when the bullpens run out to the diamond. What a waste. You are just going to match up with guys from the other team anyway. Why do all that running? Just face off with the other team's bullpen and don't waste all of that time, running, and energy.
i remember the last one in the alds between toronto and texas, texas melted down on defense in the 7th, 3 errors and another bad choice defensively if i remember right, then bautista hit the home run that sealed the series, and his way-over-the-top reaction, what i don't remember is the crowd chanting, "fuck you texas". rougned odor would sucker punch bautista the next year at 2nd base.
I blame some of that on then-Texas manager Jeff Banister. The man was a dick. Hopefully, he doesn't get another managerial job, but he's currently the bench coach for the Diamondbacks, and bench coach is generally a steppingstone, especially when you have some managerial experience.
Seems to me that Ventura was in the middle of almost every single incident involving the Royals in this compilation. Guess he was having a tough year mentally and felt the best way to work through it was to throw at hitters and talk shit. Wouldn’t be my way of handling it but we all gotta do something.
Funny how in football, where guys are smashing the shit out of each othet for 3 hours, a ref can make everybody behave by flinging a little yellow hankerchief on the ground.
No, he died tragically in a car accident in January of 2017. Even though as a Jays fan he sometimes got on my nerves it still shocked me when I found out he died.

That was how they won the title.
It was literally all because of Ventura

2015 KC Royals -- punching and kicking their way to a WS Ring.

@@BuccaneerBruce Probably would have charged mound at Madbum in every inning if they'd played the Giants that year.
It's really just shitty Yordano Ventura being a moron for most of them
Sounds like someone’s salty we won that year. lol Cry about it. #TogetherRoyal
@@Rarrlow Yeah no I'm a Giants fan. Now point to the part of the doll where Madison Bumgarner touched you.
I been binging the crap out of these. Good stuff
*Hell yeah best series on RUclips right now!*
I think it's the best channel for benches clear.
Ventura was the worst. Dude thought he was 6'6 and 300 pounds
He never once backed down. 🤷♂️

The best baseball fight ever took place in 1988 at the end of "The Naked Gun".

Love these baseball brawls ,keep uploading please
I know this is a mean cruel thing to say but I am sorry for Ventura's family on losing him but as a pitcher he was a prick with a rotten attitude
Agreed... He was punk

Little Man Syndrome
Ventura was the Nyjer Morgan of pitchers
Let's be fair to Nyjer, at least he knows how to wear a seat-belt.
This one should have been called the ventura chronicles

He was a dipshit who was more known for threatening batters with a 90+ mph pitch to their heads

RIP Yordano Ventura. What you lacked in discretion you made up with velocity ;)
Good memories for this KC fan.
The hate for Ventura in the comments is great. He's one of my fav Royals of all time. I still got a gold Ventura jersey. RIP Ace
Great 2 years of being a royals fan
I miss Ventura. Everytime he pitched you knew at some point there was a chance a brawl could eventually break out
....You know..... This wild shit is gonna turn 10 years old '25 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣and I remember this.
i love how the royals were a part of every brawl
Much of that was due to Ventura (may he rest in peace)
that’s the fastest i’ve seen pujols run
Besides from his marriage
The bullpens running in has to be one of the goofiest parts of MLB fights

Hey 5 of these were just Kansas City
Yordano Ventura in middle of everything. That happens

How hilariously ironic that the eventual world series champions were a part of more than half the bench clearing incidents.
If a pitcher acts like he threw at a batter on purpose, warning or not, he needs to go to the showers.

Ventura was the biggest 150 pound coward pseudo tough guy ever to pitch in the Bigs. Took his cue from big mouth no bite Volquez.
Wondering where Fernando Rodney or Pedro Strop are? Just look for the sideways hat

Ventura and Pedro. 2 of the skinniest punks to ever step on a mound.
