Last year I was diagnosed with ADHD-predominantly inattentive type (ADHD-pi), dyslexia, and probable dyspraxia.
In my teens I had been variously diagnosed and misdiagnosed with depression, borderline personality disorder (emotionally unstable personality disorder), and possible bipolar and schizophrenia. It never occurred to anyone that it might be ADHD because I was 'gifted' and well behaved - but that's often the way it goes.
But I know what's up now, so I'm intending to start thinking about thriving any day now.
I see the irony of making a 13 minute video about ADHD and expecting people with ADHD to pay attention for that long. Soz.

In case your attention span is worse than mine:
    01:56:12 - being misdiagnosed
04:05:00 - ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia
    06:40:00 - change of scenery
    08:22:00 - not being believed
    09:39:00 - medication
10:38:00 - effects of finally being diagnosed

    Wow.
I literally just came here to post because I watched your video and It's like my own story. I was diagnosed with BPD a few years back when I was having a really rough time, self harming, really struggling at work, seemed to really fit at the time. Then after doing years of therapy etc but my core issues still being the same, strugging with attention and staying focussed etc, I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD-PI. So strange how we both encountered that, I'm also male and from the uk :) I'm starting Elvanse soon i think

This is hilarious and super relatable. I was just diagnosed with adhd this month and I haven’t started treatment yet. I’m also trans but your commentary on the woods was just hilarious

I just subscribed to your channel. I was diagnosed with ADHD, major depressive disorder, and odd when I was five. I stopped taking meds for ADHD (intunive and Vyvanse) cold turkey about two years ago, because I plan on going into the military, and if you have taken meds for ADHD or Depression 2 years or less prior to trying for the military, apparently they want accept you

Just diagnosed inattentive subtype a couple of days ago at 26, in my final year at Uni of York. I don't know how I've made it this far through my degree without a total implosion. It's been miserable. I hope now that I can start tackling the disorder and improving my life.

but 'Learning Breakthrough Program' kit, do the exercises twice each day for a year. doing the program will be beneficial if u stick with the program for more than a year. but at least do it for a year and see it yourself its effect. the program uses unique balance board and sets of exercises to stimulate brain areas responsible for dyslexia , adhd , dyspraxia..etc... google learning breakthrough program and check their web-site. good luck.

Was adderall the medication you were thinking of? Also I'm an adult with inattentive adhd and it's super frustrating dealing with health care sometimes because I'm not hyperactive so I cant have adhd.

I was thinking of Methylphenidate, so I guess that's Ritalin. So confusing with the brand names and drugs names being used interchangeably!
Mmm, it's not good for mental health to constantly feel like you have to prove that you have it. You end up just thinking that you are actually making it up.
