So sorry to hear about your grandmother. It must be so distressing to leave her lovely home and garden. I had wondered where you learned to garden, and now we know! If you are like me, you probably feel like weeping every time you are there now. I weep every time I drive by my grandmother's home. Luckily it isn't every day. I had to clean out the inside of the house in preparation for sale, but it was winter so no gardening. Time marches on.
Yes it is sad as she loved the garden and spent so much time in it. Unfortunately she has dementia and the garden had gotten too much! I’m sure someone else will love the garden again as she did😊🙂👍
Mark, it's always a joy to watch you cleanup a thoroughly overgrown mess into a lovely group of different shapes and sizes playing nicely off each other. Looking forward to more creativity. Your grandmother was obviously a powerful influence on you! ❤
I'm so sorry about your granny. I know she was very happy there surrounded by all that amazing nature! You're such a beautiful man. I really enjoy when you teach us about the shrubbery, plants, flowers, trees & of course, the little, busy pollinators. It's a pleasure to watch you work. Thank you, Mark, for All that you do. Great job as Always! Be well! 🌻
So nice you’re able to tidy up your grandmother’s garden, 👌unfortunately the circumstances are not so nice, she ending up in a nursing home, it must hurt to see a lovely garden going out of control in some area’s. Those brambles are really a pain in the butt, they can take over a border in no time. Let’s hope the smothered azaleas and rhododendrons will shine again. Cheers from the Netherlands 👋🏼
Great clean-up 🎉 your nan has a beautiful size garden ❤ The stars aligned. You had a wonderful canvas to develop your craft 🙏🏽🌹👌🏽 Wishing your nan well 🤗

Thank you Sorry I think I need to see if I can do something for none English speaking viewers! Someone said about captions, unfortunately I’m not very good at the tech side of things! I’ll see what I can do 😊👍
@@mdgardenservices7819 Hola Mark¡! No te preocupes, pude leer tu respuesta en mi correo de gmail, hay traducción y me pone alegre de leer lo que escribes. Un saludo cordial para ti y familia¡! 💚🌿🌲🙋♀️🫂🇨🇱
New subscriber and loved what you did in the garden as well as why. Your grandmother obviously loved her garden and I’m looking forward to seeing the next visit follow up 😊. My gran had rose cuttings from Chartwell in her garden, and my husband loves to garden here in So California. We have so many plumeria going as well as a couple of avocado trees covered in fruit this year. It’s a gift to be able to garden and enjoy it so. 😊
Hello from Ottawa Canada. Your grandmother must have really loved her garden. So nice you are getting it back into shape. Even though she has dementia once you get things tidy please take some pictures to her. Maybe deep inside she will get some comfort from seeing them. You are a wonderful caring Grandson. 🌹🙏
Such a lovely garden. Your gran must have loved it. I hope she’s in a place she enjoys; many memory care places are amazing. And she passed her green thumb on to you
Yes she was a very keen gardener and spent many happy hours busy in the garden. I was always interested to see what she was growing. She used to grow alot of cuttings 😊🙂
So nice of you to clean this yard up for your grandma! It would be very nice if she is able to come and see the yard once it is all done, best wishes to your grandma.
Messy and overgrown.. ? or a wildlife 5 star hotel. I’ve changed. From tidy to thinking about the wildlife. Obvs you just gave that a haircut 🙏 I’m in a similar situation like yourself.. house to keep tidy ( empty house insurance requirements) So cmon…get a bird bath up…and some plant saucers for the hedgehogs! 🙈
For saving your back for the future I managed to find this on here … highly recommended ”Backpack Chainsaw 535FBx | Husqvarna Canada”. Can be used for both motor saws and hedge clippers, just hang the tool you use on the devise and be able to be more precise but not have to carry the weight of the tool and you can keep your back straight. I see you bending slightly all the time. No wonder your back hurts. If anything you would not have to lose workdays and not spend money on painkillers, sick leave or chiropractors
Sometimes it's easy to forget that we plant trees and bushes in our gardens to serve a purpose. Eventually they've done their job and need to be replaced.
Sorry about your Grandma, but she left a great legacy in you. I’m sure when you’re finished the garden will look lovely again. I’m sure she would enjoy some pictures.
You have all those wonderful tools. And you only used clippers. You could have had half the garden finished. I am not gonna watch anymore because you never ever finish a job. You half ass it and half to ge back many times. You should sit and watch what you do. One stick chop chop chop st a time.
Sorry it was not to your standard! If I did everything that needed to be done at each job I would be at some of them for a week! They are regular jobs🤔🤦♂️

@@mdgardenservices7819 Oh, dementia is hard. I am so sorry for you and your family. Hugs from afar!
Doesn't take long for border shrubs to get out of hand for sure. Good on you for looking after her garden 👍

I always used to like seeing what she’d been up to in the garden & greenhouse 😊👍
Please do take us back there with you - looking good already - will no doubt be even better when you finish up - - - bless your gran-ma
Thank you
I will be back again😊👍
It’s sad when someone has to leave their home because of health issues. But you can reclaim her garden and tidy it up for her.👏👏👍🏻
Yes it is a shame!😔
It is very fitting that the grandson who was interested in the gardening is tidying up the grandmother’s place. A last act of love.
Thank you😊
