This is wonderful. I suspect most of the kids who participated in this production had never seen a ballet or danced one ballet step. To have the opportunity to dance - especially to the powerful music of Prokofiev must have been a brilliant experience for these people. The arts cure. It has been shown over and over. I wish more arts organizations would do things like this and I wish more educators could see the benefit and make it happen. It makes such a difference to the participants.
I see a lot of this scene because I love Prokofiev's March of the Knights music. I thoroughly enjoyed this interpretation of one of my favorite sections of my favorite ballet. Bravo everyone!
What a wonderful idea, to use nonprofessionals to dance the Knights scene. It requires the ability to move with the music, to hold your body in a strong manner, and it's such an opportunity! I, a disadvantaged child, would have loved to be in such a performance.
Bravo!
No elaborate moves, just beautiful simplicity and timing. Skill is in the coordination and bloody powerful music
Bloody Powerful Prokofiev. And his bloody genius .....Ballet cannot exist without these masters
The men are incredibly elegant and poised! Super performances by Ballet Hoo!

That was exceptional! Two minutes in I had chills...
What a brilliant idea this was. I can only hope it has led somewhere longterm.

Not the best version of Dance of the knights. Looks like they are beginners in ballet
If you can just take time to read the description, then you'll know most of them were not ballet dancers.
