      yeah, I agree seeing how God is most definitely the final enemy in opm and witnessing how much he's trying to get rid of him considering his very existence a threat to him since he doesn't have a limit to how powerful he can become it just doesn't make sense to that god would give him the very power he considers a threat to him meaning he is indeed the one who placed limiters on humans bc he feared this would happen

  • @kalebsmith4159

    My theory for how Saitama broke his limiter is his limiter some how got set so low the simple act of training like he did was what broke it. He wasn't supposed to ever amount to anything he was supposed to be a perpetually weak salary man but because he challenged himself his limiter was so low he easily broke it. Which is comedic and fits his back story.

    Heroes in OPM all derive their powers from their behaviour and the things they do in their lives. Pig God eats lots of food so his power is related to that for example. If Saitama's desire was to be the strongest hero and able to achieve whatever he put his mind to then it would make sense that his kind of 'monsterisation' would be related to that. We see the same progression with Garou as his desires are similar to become the strongest, however he was stopped in his tracks by someone who has already achieved this goal.

What if Saitama's training was a massive plot where he kept on coming across God's manipulation, stopped them by accident, and kept on going to train? Then God found out, sent more minions, got them killed, rinse and repeat?
    This also brings up the question of why people are transforming. We get an answer, but what if, in actuality, God is going through what Saitama is going through, and just wants to see if anything can achieve what it did, and get it to feel something again?

      Yeah that doesn’t work in today’s context too much that can work for some fights where the character has an ambiguous level of power like let’s say the grand priest versus the God hand your guess would be as good as mines on that one but if its characters have been character determined since the beginning like Thor and hulk hulk clearly has the better feats and the better strength. anything Thor hast to throw out at him is pretty much just about what hope would expect here until Thor ultimately admits at some point due to his limits that hulk is clearly the greatest fighter he’s ever had to deal with if not one of the greatest that he’s had a hard time taking down

    The best answer to who would win between saitama and goku is that everyone loses. Theyd keep getting stronger and eventually destroy the universe with the force generated by their fists colliding, killing everyone. Then theyd prolly both survive somehow because plot armor and have to work together to bring the universe back into existence or something. Damn now im thinking that would be a hilarious crossover movie

    The limiter does not just determine an overall ceiling on power, it's more about restricting the growth itself. Characters with a limiter need to keep pushing themselves to their limits and can only grow so fast. Someone with no limiter, like Saitama, can grow without any restriction whatsoever, there's no limit on the rate of growth.
    So while it's true that Saitama has infinite potential, in practice he can still use any level of strength that he wants/needs to. In effect, he might as well have infinite strength.

  • @Tokahontes
    @Tokahontes Год назад +14

    Honestly I dont believe Saitama Is like Shonnen MCs at all. He's a Shonnen Superman. The creators of superman once said in an interview that superman will always be strong as he needs to be to win. Its how he lifted a book of infinite pages which is literally the heaviest object that could exist. Heres a small list of things superman has done that saitama later does:
    1.Punch through dimensions
    2.Moves fast enough to punch multiple times simultaneously
    3.Manipulated Metaphysical space/Energies
    4.Be a symbol of hope in the bleakest of times
    I dont believe they are completely the same but their stories are effectively the same. Its not about a mortal trying to be the strongest. but Trying to live a normal life amongst men but understanding their abilities gives others a reason to strive for and hope toward. I mean saitama has inspired genos since the day they met, King gained the courage and hope that saitama will always be there. They Are Symbols of Hope, Inspiration, and Courage that makes others want to do the same.

      Absolutely correct considering comics was also an inspiration for one as well another thing he left out not to shit all over his theory but Saitama feels like he’s more built to survive in a comic universe then he is a shonen protagonist as universe these guys are strong and yeah they have limitless potential but they’re not the same level of limitless as Saitama‘s limitless strength and potential since I believe he has the power of freedom in case you don’t know search up wiki super power is the power of freedom it allows you to practically do almost anything you want and it fits into the category of what his power set might actually be

    • @mattmetawolf8634
      @mattmetawolf8634 Год назад

      To also expand upon this point freedom allows you to pretty much be as perfect as you want to be or give you a ridiculous weakness such as but not limited to not being able to outright chill an entire mosquito even when your best efforts is to do so basically allowing yourself to get scratched by a cat even though it should have no effect on you Back before he was pretty awake and he was plagued by a bad cavity and once that got knocked out of his mouth it was almost like as if he felt nothing and the pain was going to transformed him into it a further stage in his awakening is it all the time .
      Another case in point being able to control totality which allows you to basically go to a certain place in time now it’s a pretty low level of totality that he’s shown right now but the closest we’ve got is being able to enter spiritual planes so long as the door is unlocked for him and he’s always allowed in breaking into a metaphysical space is pretty much something I would regard as troublesome and worrisome especially considering we don’t know what high degree he’s basically capable that then of course being able to appear in one of Garou ‘s portals but until we see more it’s quite possible he can break out or break into spaces he wants to or doesn’t want to be in just by sheer force and will alone now as for anything pretty much higher and all that like almighty laws and will Biden buy them it’s probably going to be revealed at some point that he doesn’t have to abide by any of that given that he didn’t have to abide by natural human limitations and while he is still limited by his mind The moment he lets the restraints off when actually getting serious it probably allows him to really do as much as he wants while still having full control of his serious state

    I feel like the line graph of their power growing was Garous interpretation of what was going on. He believes himself to be so strong that saitama “had” to be growing during their fight. When in reality, he wasn’t growing at all, and was just better. So the line graph was his justification for why he was still losing.

This cause significant brain trauma along with his training regime where he broke the bones in his arms and legs. This plus caused extreme trauma and placed him in a coma. As a result he believes everything is happening you see in the show/manga.

A God who then somehow reawakened within Saitama. And this self proclaimed 'God' is so interested and hell bent on defeating Saitama in order to finish what he started and claiming the title of God
