Sarah, I am a librarian, and am sitting here making sure we have all of these in stock for customers. You did a great job of booktalking! More book ones would be great.
I agree. I’m a big fantasy/ sci fi fan and I haven’t read several of these. This video made me actually hit amazon to see if I can get some gently used copies. This was great !
Rambling ASMR is probably my favorite kind of ASMR. It just feels more genuine than the role plays. Like a conversation. Keep doing these or ramblings on other topics or interests. Thanks!
Even tho this book isn't fantasy I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to read: Dune. It's not for everyone but if you pick it up, and get involved with the characters and story then you're gonna love it. One of my favorite books ever, and I still haven't finished it jaja.
I couldn't help but notice on your bookshelf that you have the book "Where The Crawdads Sings." Reading that book was like riding on a roller coaster full of emotions LOL. Keep the Book ASMR series going, Sarah! It's always a pleasure listening to these types of videos.
@@SarahLavenderASMR The book was indeed amazing! If you do plan on making another Book ASMR video sometime during October, you should defs recommend/read to us some of your favorite horror books. Maybe add in a bit of mystery novels as well. It would definitely be in line with the upcoming spooky season 🎃🎃
This made me want to re-read “The Name of the Wind” so badly! I read it when I was still in highschool (over four years ago) and I absolutely loved it. I read it in Spanish, so I think now it’s time to read it in English. Thank you for this video, I am always so happy when ASMRtists bring literature into the equation ♥️
Sarah, thank you for sharing your favorite books! I love how conversational your videos are. You help me deal with my loneliness. Like having a friend to help distract me for my worries, even if it's only for a little while. My favorite book you listed was definitely either Harry Potter or Fifth Season.
now if that isn’t the best video to be ever made i don’t know what is... i mean all my favorites together: -reading (favorite hobby) -fantasy (favorite genre) -you (favorite ASMRtist) = perfect video much love!!!☺️
Love the video/series! I recommend you Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse books. Eventough I've only read the Six of Crows duology so far (Shadow and Bone is in my bucket list), I really enjoyed the world building, characters and her writing style! Fantasy/fiction is also my favorite genre and these ones are easily worth the time.
Thanks! I think that it's just fun to hear people talk about the things they like and why they find them enjoyable. Plus, your voice is incredibly soothing, so that makes it great to hear you speak!
i'd love to see more book content from you! I watched this while eating breakfast and immediately picked up my current read after so I can hopefully get to some of your recommendations that are already sitting in my tbr pile!
Everything about you is so relaxing 😍 your voice, your beauty, your movements, you could literally just smile into the camera and I would get tingles 😅❤❤
my favorite fantasy book is the starless sea! i’m so glad i have all these new recommandations, though some of them have been on my tbr list for a while lol. Keep up the AMAZING work
I’m waiting for the Wool series by Hugh Howey to appear in one of these! I mentioned it in your older book video and I know once you start it you’ll be hooked! The book tapping and page turning sounds were lovely and your voice was soothing as always. Thanks again, Sarah! Hope all is well.
I think your soft spoken and whispering are both very soothing and tingly. Could u do one in all whisper? Please continue with the series i love them!!
I have to say I love these book reviews. It doesn't matter whether I care about a specific book or not, your delivery is extraordinarily relaxing! Would like to add to the calls for you to keep a regular series going 😃 Personally I'm into the lost and beat generation writers..
So glad to see the broken earth trilogy here. I love classic fantasy books, and i think I've read everything you listed here, but the Fifth Season absolutely blew my mind.
I love a good book video. Just started the sequel to one of the books that really stuck with me from middle school, and I had no idea it even existed 😮.
It's all about atmosphere and relaxation - and a bit of magic or course - lovely that you capture those things and anything to do with books you love always gets my vote too... Thanks! OWM
A series I would highly recommend, which includes some sketches within the pages, is A Natural History of Dragons, by Marie Brennan. Written as a memoir from the perspective of a woman escaping the confines of a Victorian-esque society where she is expected to get married and take care of the house and children; she sets off around the world to get first hand experience documenting the anatomy and behaviour of different living dragon species, while dealing with many trials along the way. Really enjoying your videos, a few books here I hadn't came across or considered so thank you so much for sharing! I can't wait to see more! Your soft spoken voice is so wonderfully relaxing, and who doesn't want inspiration to buy more books! Time to do some shopping, and get back into reading!
Oh my god! Are you reading my mind or something.? I've been on a fantasy binge since July where I already finished King Killer chronicles, dived into Sanderson books, locke Lamora and here you are giving me ideas for the next set of reads !
I’m definitely on board with all the book review videos you can muster lol. I watch them at work and they tend to keep my days pretty chill. Even came away with a few recommendations I’m gonna look at. Thanks!
Absolutely loved loved loved this video. I hope you do a lot more of these types of video, just talking about books you've read, loved, loathed or want to read. Fascinating and relaxing content! Thank you. 😊
As someone who gets paralysed by choice when searching for books and usually ends up with nothing I’m grateful for the recommendations. Also shout out to the Bartimaeus Sequence. Despite being aimed at children it’s really witty and remains my favourite (with honourable mentions to HP and Discworld)
Me: Man if she doesn't do Name of the Wind I'm totally going to recommend it in the comments. Sarah: so, the first book is Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss Me: *shocked pikachu meme*
I absolutely love your book videos and I look forward to more!! Would you consider incorporating some slow taping and slow page turning? That would be brain melting! Thanks for the video and book suggestions!
Soft spoken please! Your soft voice is such a great trigger and is instantly relaxing. Really enjoy your videos on your personal likes such as this and bouldering. Your familiarity + soft spoken = great asmr. Keep up the great work!
My favorite fantasy series of all time is The Wheel of Time. I didn't love the ending, but the magic system in that was pretty unique, and the latter books Brandon Sanderson wrote using Robert Jordan's notes since he had passed away. The Belgariad and Malloreon are both really good series too. Eventually I will brace myself and begin Raymond Feist's series. The whole thing is 42 or 43 books so it's a commitment.
Feist's books are totally worth it, although the quality can be... inconsistent tbh. There's a bunch of largely self contained stories in there though, so you don't necessarily have to commit to reading all of them.
@@vezir382 I can't help it. It's an OCD tendance I have. I have the ENTIRE series of books in hardcover finally so am about to start. I'm looking forward to the Krondor titles especially because of the video games.
Late comment on this video, but I have come back to rewatch all the book videos and the bouldering video multiple times. Basically any where you just basically talk for a while and not do the standard roleplay or triggers. Please do more like these, they are awesome!
Hi Sarah. Even though I'm no longer a youth, I did have a wonderful time reading the Eragon books. There's a total of four books, I believe, and they're full of dragons, elves, urgals, and many more characters. The books are considered young adult, but the length and content of the story keeps both young and old entirely entertained. Highly recommended! 💙 Edit: You just mentioned it hahaha.😂 Okay, since you've read Eragon then I would be delighted to suggest R.A. Salvatore's "The Legend of Drizzt" which is a series of novels that introduces a dark elf named Drizzt do'Urden. It's a fantastic journey that you MUST read if you are into fantasy. The first book is titled "Homeland" and can be found on paperback, but I believe that once you begin reading, you will insist on hardcover. I have the entire set on hardcover. 🤗

Wish I were into fantasy novels as much as the rest of the world. I’ve always felt so outcast because for some reason I cannot connect with them. But! I love your videos and will definitely look into some of these! can’t wait to see the next vid in this series. 🥰
I love book reviews and ASMR, So this combo is awesome!! Sounds silly, but you could buy the books for the YA video and then return them! just an idea :)
I love classics, and in most of middle and high school I was a bit of a snob about them. If it was published before the 70s, it was probably worthless in my opinion. I think it’s just because the only other books I tried were really popular YA books which I still don’t tend to get along with. Classics can be really heavy reads though, despite thoroughly enjoying them. I didn’t read much because of it. Now I’ve adopted the same kind of “pallet cleanse” technique. I’ll read a classic or maybe a long, intimidating book and then read a short, light novel or a Stephen King book. It really works. 😊 I love your book videos by the way. I like book tube but I find anything that isn’t asmr a little abrasive before bed, so this perfect. Thanks!
