The 36th America's Cup presented by Prada will be contested by the winner of the 2017 America's Cup, the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron represented by their team, Emirates Team New Zealand, and the winner of the Prada Cup, the challenger selection series which takes place in January-February in 2021.

NZL should have tacked on Alighi right at start and bury them.. But instead they allowed a small split which allowed Alinghi to take advantage of the wind shift.

This is America's Cup Racing, take those "flying" boats and put them in a different class. They have no place in real America's cup Racing.

I enjoyed these races, but I also like the new format.

Uhm. The chute exploded, and then the second chute didn't get tacked, then the 3rd chute "figured 8".
guessing it was something like that. . .

Of course, paddle boats with foils solve all the problems of exploding spinnakers, breaking poles and failed manoeuvres...
Unfortunately it also kills the spirit of match races between real sailboats as the founders of the AC had wished...
