look forward to it. The strums I see on other videos are too advance for me 😅😅 I just wanna be able to play along on most simplest of Cook Island tunes. Thanks again.@@vaiona5156
To be honest bro, everyone's strumming is different. You pick it up over time playing. All I can think of is as long you strum in beat thats all that matters.
Kia Orana! I need help in stringing my Atu - Made Uke. The strings I have no longer work (uke bought 2003 - ish?) and I do not know what type of strings to replace these. I live in the usa. Thanks. I miss my island home and long to return. Metakii-matta (?) sorry for wrong spelling my Raro-speak is weak.
Kia Orana Lee, Thank you for the reply, never to late my friend. I will try the fishing line and let you know how it goes. Love your Vids, thank you for the inspiration to continue to play. I just wish I was back on Raro with my "brothers" singing and playing on the beach at Muri beach and hangin' at Sails....

Is there a app I can get instead because i dont trust my ears also mean tutorials 🙌😎
Yep can use any tuner so the keys to tune your uke is:
1st string - G3
2nd - C4
3rd - E4
4th - A3
Loved this tutorial!
meitaki maata! 🙂
Hu malia go’e! Your sistah from the island of Kapingamarangi Atoll strumming from Seattle WA!
Nice one sis😊💗
Solid
Thank you!!!
is their a tecnique to the strum?
Basically everyone has their own style. If you strum to the beat then you'll eventually pick it up. More you practice faster you'll get it
Any 8 string lessons? I have a 8 string uke but don't know how to tune it.
Tuning is in the beginning of the video.
@@vaiona5156 any chance of more videos in the near future. Trying to learn how to play some music.
Qc est super
Is this the the normal tuning,
For tuning in Chord C yes normal. You can also tune the uke to different chords depending what chord you prefer to play in.
Also, My uke is tuned very high 😅
Can you show us more chords, I got my first uke, and I have no idea if they use the same chords as Hawaiian uke
Try searching Hawaiian Uke for beginners. These are main 3 chords used in Cook Island songs.
@@vaiona5156 how do you learn more. Chords, I wanna play roimata
