Thanks for the great reaction, MommaOG! Subbed! Can't wait for you to listen to more. Lots of great suggestions below on what to listen to... but as some have also indicated, you can go to their RUclips page and pick ANY song by them, and it will rock your socks off. Amazing, but true.
MommaOG welcome to Band Maid rabbit hole 😊 Always love your work and you will have fun exploring this awesome band. Pick any song you want because all of the songs are great ❤
In my 62 years I've heard a lot of great rock bands but BAND-MAID has become my all-time favourite. All of the music I love without the egos and attitudes.🤘✌
Thank You *Roger Chance* for spreading the music of *BAND-MAID* ----------------------------------------- _The Carrier Pigeons delivering the music of _*_BAND-MAID_*_ to the World_
It's always enjoyable to watch a first time reactor slowly get sucked down the Pigeon Hole of Band-Maid. That look of "was not expecting that" to "am I hearing this right?" to "wow can they ever play" to "that was amazing" to "what else have they done". Listen to them at your own pace. I personally would listen to a few more older songs Thrill (which started it all) OMV, Choose Me OMV before diving into their live music Real Existence OLV Domination OLV, After that, just push play on any song from their channels playlist, you will not be disappointed. Just be prepared, they like to jamp around musical genres (sometimes within the same song), Thanks!
The real BAND-MAID experience is to be found live, in concert. Your next song should be DOMINATION, from 14 February 2020. I’ve been listening to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, and more, from all around the world, for more than 50 years, and no band has dazzled me like these ladies. At least no one since Led Zeppelin. You might be surprised at the versatility of BAND-MAID.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Band-Maid! These ladies are fantastic and are much better live!! You will go down the pigeon hole! Have a great journey as you react to the best rock group on the planet
Thank you for checking out BAND-MAID! My next recommendation would probably be to listen to them in the order of the number of times the band played them. According to the expert Ohrenje, 1. "Freedom" 2. "Real Existence" skipping "Alone" in third place, 4. "Choose Me" 5. "Domination" I recommend checking out the live versions of all of these songs.
It is difficult to choose because there are no bad songs, but I recommend these songs. From Now On (MV) Choose me (MV) Shambles (MV) Hate? (Official Live MV) Freedom (Official Live MV) Thank you😀

5 incredibly talented women together for over 10 years are a force! They have around 130 songs and will surpass your expectations. Do some more. The Madiacs will guide you on your journey.
Great shocked reaction......................which I have seen from first time reactors many times. I'm a 77 year old rock fan from Brooklyn, New York and Band Maid, along with able help from many other Asian female bands, has given me hope for a resurgence of good solid rock. I've seen them 3 times, twice 2022 and once in 2023 and I'm looking forward to see them once again on their nest tour here. I haven't as much fun at a gig since seeing Blood, Sweat and Tears and The Young Rascals in NYC in 1967 and The Doors at the Whisky a Go Go in LA in 1968. In the ten years from 2013 to now they have gone from a band getting dropped by their management to the top of the rock world. They are the best rock band on the planet at present. Their catalogue is around 150 songs and they are best served LIVE !!! So try to react to as many live official videos as possible, such as Domination, Freedom, Choose Me, Don't You Tell Me, Real Existence, Puzzle, Manners, Black Hole, Shambles and a host of others. If you want to get a real taste of their musicianship, check out the live official video of Onset and the music video for From Now On. They are two I have of the finest rock instrumentals I have ever heard, and I grew up loving The Ventures, The Tornados, The Surfaris, The Rip Chords, and from England, The Shadows. I have no doubt that you will enjoy your adventure with Band maid.
I Concur, The Maids have (to my accounting) five official Instrumentals, and quite a few of their 'instrumental' versions of vocal servings are almost as good "stand alone' tunes WITHOUT Saiki's amazing vocals, as the official ones. The way they interpret the simple "Dawn Winery" theme from Genshin Impact and make it their own by the last repetition is Phenomenal! "From Now On" and "Onset" are in league with "YYZ" in my opinion and my 'favorites' Band-Maid playlist is way too long to to hear in one day.
@@mermaidmelodies1492 Absolutely !!! And the thing I love the best is that they are great technical pieces, not overly complex, but composed in a manner that makes full use of each band member's talent and meld them in a way that just hits you full force. I love all their music, but when it comes to their instrumentals, "Onset" and "From Now On" top my list. I can't think of another group that has a power trio and rhythm section like they do..........hmmm..... I would think that The Jazz Avengers could be a bit of a match for them when you include the four-piece brass section. I know it's a different genre, but I love to mix and match. Tokyo Groove Jyoshi in all of its iterations also had great members. Cheers !!!!
The greatest band in the world! And this middle aged guys favorite of all time. I never thought a Japanese band, let alone female, would beat out AC/DC, INXS, the Beatles, and more for the most songs I love. You can choose at random for a next one. They are that good. I'll warn you though, they don't stick to a certain type. This was pop-punk, the next might be more metal, or classic rock, or pure hard rock. My favorite is Dice. Pop-punk at it's best
@TheRealMommaOG that will be awesome. 61 year old life long average musician here. Played in cover bands back in the 80s and 90s and these girls just blow me away with their talent and showmanship and also for staying together as a band for this long. They love and interact with their fans online and at their shows. Miku Kobato (rhythm guitar) is the wise architect of this band and the driving force behind it. Enjoy your journey po 🎀🎶😎
I humbly request a reaction to the live version of "Puzzle" and one to the OMV for "Choose Me", not necessarily in that order. :) We've all been taken aback by Band-Maid at one time or another.
Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), up against Kanami's up-tempo, complex yet rockin' music is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles! Thx, MommaOG!
"Holy Crap!" Yeah, that's the reaction we all have had upon discovering Band-Maid. My revelation coming about 4-5 years ago during the pandemic. One of the few good things to come from it.
Nice reaction MommaOG! If you're into well-composed and performed melodic hard rock music, this is your band. And _super_ consistent. There are a few good intro songs like any of the songs I see as thumbnail recommendations in your end screen: Warning, YOLO, Influencer, Choose Me, The Non-Fiction Days. Those are all MVs, but if you want some live: Don't You Tell ME (live at Yokohama) or Domination (live). Softer side? Daydreaming, Catharsis (acoustic), etc. You can kinda choose a song based on where your cursor lands...
Band-Maid is fantastic, been my favorite for many years. Tough to pick a few songs from there 130+ catalog, but you might like Domination Live, Hate? Live, Warning MV, Dice MV, Blooming MV, or Real Existence Live. Thanks for the reaction and I look forward to more from Band-Maid!!
They are incredibly gifted five amazing musicians. If you can stomach and get over the fan base that's in love with themselves. And our self-appointed PR and spokespersons for the group. Then you are in for a treat. After a few reactions to this group you will see exactly what I mean. Also check out Nemophilia (more hard rock metal). Check out their cover songs first and then a three-piece group out of indonesia. VOB, three little hijab wearing Muslim women that kick butt and play metal. Check out their version of Metallica's Enter Sandman from france first. Take care and be well.
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. While they don't class themselves as a metal band, they don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!
MommaOG, you're going to love Band-Maid as a rock band to react to. They have over 130 songs in their catalog. "Alone" was the first song that their management company allowed them to write, produce, and record. The rest was history. After the album that "Alone" was one was released, the band changed their management company. The new management company allowed to write and record their own music. Their hard rock sound was what they really wanted to do. I'm 75 years old and grew up in the 60's and 70's and the amazing rock music that came from those eras. I have seen Cream, The Doors, The Byrds, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers Band live along with a lot of lesser-known bands. Don't worry, Band-Maid puts out a lot of songs with English lyrics. I feel the best song for you to capture how really talented this band is and how far they have come in their eleven years together without any changes in their members is "Hate?", the official live video, from their 10th Anniversary tour finale in November of 2023. After "Hate?" there are several directions you can take to react to their music. Their earliest video is "Thrill", the official music video. The video saved the band from being broken up and allowed it to get the exposure they needed to proceed in their careers together. "Blooming" is another early favorite of we Maidiacs (that's what Band-Maid fans call ourselves). "Blooming" and "Choose Me" are two songs that were used in an action thriller filmed in Japan titled "Kate". The Maids had a cameo in the film. The one video on RUclips that introduced me to Band-Maid was "Domination", the official live video. It showcases talent, charisma, audience involvement, the band has with their fans at a live concert.
They never changed their 'management company' (Platinum Passport), they changed their record label. Also, their label was already changed _from_ the album, not _'after_ the album that "Alone" was one was released'. After that they changed their label again, but much later and irrelevant here.
They always had control over the songs they played. "Alone" wasn't the first they wrote that the management allowed, but the first the band members wanted to play.
i love this band and another band. a band called The Warning is a 3 piece made up of 3 sisters. they are a rock/hard rock trio ya just cant stop watching just like Band Maid. might I suggest you check out a collab between both of these band called SHOW THEM. Great reaction.
Roger Chance out here doing the lords work and getting the good word out to the ReactorVerse. Many (tiny) Hat Tips to you my friend. Thanks MommaOG for reacting. Keep the Maids coming. Please. :)
The maids are classy, fun, but especially just a ton of talent packed into that band. A typical starting point for Band-Maid is their Domination live video: ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html
Ignore subtitles and listen to how well the vocal melodies fit with the music. Depending on which direction you want to go, live or MV, here are a couple of suggestions. MVs: Protect You or Shambles Live: Puzzle (their most recent) or Hate? from Yokohama Arena. Saiki, lead singer, said they have no throw away songs, ones written to just fill out an album. Do we possibly have another Maidiac? Time will tell.
Band-Maid primarily sings in Japanese, but with English sprinkled throughout as well. They have a few songs that are entirely in English. AND, many of their Official videos have English subtitles (so, check the Closed Caption button to see if it's available for a video you're about to watch.) The more you delve into Band-Maid's catalog of songs, the more impressed you will be. 😃👍 While they are primarily Hard-Rock, they incorporate MANY genres into their music. And because of their great musicianship & songwriting, they pull off greatness in all of their music. Some suggestions for starters: "Domination" (Official LIVE Video), "Daydreaming" (Official MV), "Hate" (Official LIVE Video), "Influencer" (Official MV), "Endless Story" (Official LIVE Video). This is just a few suggestions, but whether you choose any of these or some other BM song, you can't go wrong, because they are ALL great.
"Puzzle" live from Tokyo Garden Theater. This is a powerful song. BAND-MAID is a dish best served live. I could start listing songs, but just go to their RUclips Channel and pick songs at random, but don't miss their live performances of "Domination", "Freedom", "Play", "Manners/Black Hole", or "Onset". Then watch their MV for "From Now On". After you've digested all that, watch "About Us". This is just the tip of the iceberg.
@@TheRealMommaOG Rythnn guitarist and founder of the band, Miku Kobato's name translates to small pigeon. So whenever she speaks, she ends her sentences with po. It's supposed to sound like a pigeon. I don't get it. I just go with it!🤣✌️
Welcome Home, MommaOG!!! Congratulations on improving your life today by discovering BAND-MAID!! Enjoy the journey down the “Pigeon” Hole! 😂 Next? Two thirds of my daily music intake are Japanese artists. Finally the word spreads into the Western World how much talent comes from the country of The Rising Sun. Thank you Dear🤍
I have always loved finding new music from around the world. I'm an American but I am fully conscious that there is a vast expanse beyond my immediate surroundings that is just as good, sometimes better.
perfect song to start your MAID journey as it was the first one they wrote that their label allowed them to record. before this all of the music was written for them. and from here on in just about all of the songs were band written. most by lead guitarist kanami tono who is a great songwriter and shredder as well. 11 years of awesomeness to catch up on. they do mix in some english in just about every song.
Thanks for the very competent reaction. You can check out "Hate?" and "Domination" (live) to begin the knowledge of Band Maid. If you like metal, there is another fantastic all -female Japanese band called Lovebites. I suggest you take a look at their YT channel where you will find all the videos you want, even the very recent ones. Personally I am a fan of both Band Maid and Lovebites, according to their different musical genre (hard rock and metal)
You asked us the hard question. Next song? Which song should I recommend, I've seen too many reactions on hate, domination and show them already. Anything else is fine by me. Anyone?
The Maids have a big ol’ catalog of great music. To give you an idea of the breadth of their music check out the two-for-one video “Manners / Black Hole.”
Welcome, MommaOG. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 210 million views just on their official YT channel, plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (130+ songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Protect You, Sense, Different, Glory and Unleash!!!!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 32 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 31 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. They've got so many good songs you can't go wrong. For mid-tempo 70s rock type vibes, go with Manners MV. For a beautiful power ballad, go with the Daydreaming MV. For more recent performances of a couple of their classic songs, go with the official lives of Don't You Tell ME, Hate? and Endless Story - but have the subtitles on for Endless Story, as there are important spoken parts. But you honestly could pick a song at random and it'll be great - they're that good. And live is generally even better than MV's.
They've come along way since then. Check out some of their newer stuff, particularly the Official LIVE Videos. The really are The Best Band In The World. Though they're Hard Rock they really have no set genre, even within the same song. They draw influences from across the board, and have everything from Heavy Bangers to soft acoustic ballad. Many of their songs have English Captions if you turn them on. But If you want one all in English try their new collaboration with The Warning, 'Show Them'. There's another one 'Don't Let Me Down' but they didn't write that one, and the lyrics are pretty dirty. There's some debate as to whether they actually knew what they were singing, but they were contractually obligated at the time to play what the label gave them.
Great reaction MommOG. Welcome to the wonderful world of Band-Maid. You've recognized the talent and most of their songs have an earworm chorus. You'll be doing stuff and then realize you're humming the chorus of the last Band-Maid song you heard. It's OK, don't panic, it happens to most of us.😂 Their discography is deep and diverse so there is much more to explore. Next song suggestions....something live. Try one of the following: "Domination" Official Live MV at the Line Cube Shibuya "Onset" Official Live MV at ZEPP Tokyo "Real Existence" Official Live MV at ZEPP Tokyo "Freedom" Official Live MV at the Line Cube Shibuya "Hate?" Brilliant beginning to what will be the most exciting and fun musical journey ❤ After the early years of having songs written for them by their label, they finally broke through with this completely self-written song. After this? The label writers were retired and the creative floodgates opened 🌊 Their work spans several genres, bending and blending them at will. I’m a big fan of their third single “Choose Me,” OMV. If you jump too far ahead, you might get disoriented 😂 From there? “DICE,” hair metal with a 🎀 Let us know what you liked, want more or less of, and it will make recommendations easier. Band Maid is no AC/DC. Nearly every Maid song is its own genre
The use of English in Japanese Rock has a long history going back to the 60s, both in the lyrics and song titles. Long story short it's now a cool thing to have some English lyrics. Miku who writes the lyrics though tends to use English sometimes because it works better, sometimes as a means to engage English speakers and sometimes because there is an interesting/funny English/Japanese crossover ( I can't really explain that properly). Band Maid's song titles are around 85% English, I can only find around 12 that have Japanese listed titles
Some song suggestions for you are Moratorium, No God, Rinne, Onset, From Now On, Without Holding Back, About Us, Play, Why Why Why, Clang, and Matchless Gum. Their latest live videos from Yokohama Arena are incredible. Don't You Tell Me and Hate are straight up bangers with guitar vs bass duels, and Endless Story is a tear jerker that even choked up the singer, Saiki, and the drummer, Akane, since it was the last song of their 10th year anniversary tour. Also, they just released a collaboration with The Warning called Show Them which is a must listen.

Some aren't as good as others, yes, but every band or group has songs that better than others. And as of yet, I haven't heard a single song by these Ladies I haven't enjoyed. Granted there are a few that take multiple hearings, to get the full nuance, as they can overload your brain with the complexity. But I've found that to be very enjoyable as my brain teases out all of the threads in their songs.
Great reaction,no it does not matter about the language, their songs are that good it becomes irrelavent, this was their 1st self written song that their record company,,at the time, let them put on an album, they have written everything since, all their later mvs have CC which helps, and they put lots of english lyrics in every song,,,You have to see them live they are an absolute powerhouse,a good starting point is,,Domination, official live, enjoy and welcome to the world of Band Maid.
If you want to catch up quickly, I suggest Ohrenje's documentary on Miku part 1. All the documentaries are great, but Miku is where it all began,it will also answer some questions you might have.
Thanks for checking out Band-Maid. They switch up their style a lot from song to song, or even within a song, so depending on their preferences, everyone’s going to have their own favorites. I’ve seen people post their top tens with hardly any overlap from person to person. The most consistent thing is the quality and thoughtfulness in songwriting. They work very hard to pack each song with interesting details so listeners can come back again and again and hear something new each time. I like this song, but I generally hate that power metal guitar tone in the solo, so it’s not my favorite. One that I love that doesn’t get a ton of attention is YOLO. Their lead vocalist, Saiki, had some vocal chord damage that she needed surgery to treat, and so she’s gone through a bunch of different phases in how she sounds, and she sounds a little bit husky in YOLO in a way that I really enjoy.
And a thing about the maid outfits, MommaOG: as Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku -- the 2nd guitarist, lyricist, founder and who worked at a maid cafe -- wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, poor tortured artists "outfits"... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids. Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!
As to language, the Beatles toured Japan in the 60's. They sang in English, as did the American and European bands continuing today. So why should Japanese bands sing in English. FYI, 6 bands/groups toured the US in 2023/2024. Lovebites will be touring the US in September. They sing in English. Note, Band Maid were invited to Lollapalooza, the second Japanese band to perform there. They were a big hit. They are actually better live. Standard starting Live performance is "Dominate" though "Hate?" is a popular starter.
Thank you for the info. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind songs in other languages, in fact, sometimes it makes things more interesting. I always have it in the back of my mind that the world does not necessarily revolve around the English language. To think that way would only limit myself. I just have always paid attention to lyrics to songs my entire life so I just wanted to make sure there were no English subs I was missing. Thanks again!
Nice reaction.👍 If you're interested in Band-Maid's MVs, you can start with "YOLO", "Daydreaming" and "Choose Me"... but with a catalog of over thirty-five music videos, another five people could recommend three different songs each. If you prefer live music, you should check out "Freedom", "Onset" (Instrumental) and "Catharsis", (Acoustic) All of the above songs are available on their official RUclips channel.😉 The following song is not available on their official channel, but it's excellent: "Take Me Higher", live at Studio Coast: ruclips.net/video/5P5_JVNGN7o/видео.htmlsi=2lcdZEK1ReoCo5X9 😎
A lot of their songs were showing on your screen so select another slightly older song. The Non Fiction Days. Not written by the ladies but a great track and was a high energy concert closing song a number of years ago.
130 songs, and… I’m not joking… absolutely 0 bad song (the weakest songs are just very good). If you wanna hear something similar to Alone (with medium complexity, but very catchy), try out « Choose me » (MV), « Dice » (MV), « Freedom » (live), « Domination » (live)
Great reaction to a great and fairly early song of their's- Thanks. Try Blooming Official Music Video. If you make your video full screen we could see it better (UK)

_The Carrier Pigeons delivering the music of _*_BAND-MAID_*_ to the World_
It's always enjoyable to watch a first time reactor slowly get sucked down the Pigeon Hole of Band-Maid.
According to the expert Ohrenje,
1. "Freedom"
2. "Real Existence"
skipping "Alone" in third place,
4. "Choose Me"
5. "Domination"
I recommend checking out the live versions of all of these songs.
It is difficult to choose because there are no bad songs, but I recommend these songs.
From Now On (MV)
Choose me (MV)
Shambles (MV)
Hate? (Official Live MV)
Freedom (Official Live MV)
Thank you😀

I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from:

2020-LINE CUBE SHIBUYA

Thank you for that information. I've noted all those songs. I'm exicted!

Your reaction is why I've been hoping for mass reaction video to Band Maid. I love seeing peoples first reaction to this band. 🎶🎀😎
Now that I'm starting to hear some of their music, I'm excited to pick my favorite and do a reaction compilation on them for my other channel!
We've all been taken aback by Band-Maid at one time or another.
Good job. Try a live version from their YT channel. You are going to be seriously amazed.
"Holy crap!" Yeah, that's Mincho. Thanks for the reaction!
Band-Maid lists themselves as a impossibly hard rocking Maid band, sums it up well!
Highly recommend the band MAID documentary
Thank you so much! I've noted all of those songs. Appreciate the time you took to share that information with me.
Sorry about the mix up between their management company and record label. Regardless, I'm glad the write and record their own music

The maids are classy, fun, but especially just a ton of talent packed into that band. A typical starting point for Band-Maid is their Domination live video:

Ignore subtitles and listen to how well the vocal melodies fit with the music. Depending on which direction you want to go, live or MV, here are a couple of suggestions.
MVs: Protect You or Shambles
Live: Puzzle (their most recent) or Hate? from Yokohama Arena. Saiki, lead singer, said they have no throw away songs, ones written to just fill out an album.
Do we possibly have another Maidiac? Time will tell.
Thank you. Current Maidiacs are really speaking fondly of this band so I'm getting really excited about them.
Next one? Throw a 🎯 It is all great. Maybe do a live. They are just as good live.
They're better live generally speaking, hard to believe though that may be.

(from their own Anime MV (series?)): ruclips.net/video/7LB_EPS48HE/видео.html)
And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYUJI concerts:

Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and other full concerts are on bandmaidprime.tokyo, bili, and official Band-Maid’s DVD/BD/CD.
And some of the better quality fan videos are excellent. Here’s two of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue:

If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, live streams, CD, DVD/BD & merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 32 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.

HATE OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO FROM YOKOHAMA ARENA
Try one of the following:
"Domination" Official Live MV at the Line Cube Shibuya
"Onset" Official Live MV at ZEPP Tokyo
"Real Existence" Official Live MV at ZEPP Tokyo
"Freedom" Official Live MV at the Line Cube Shibuya
"Hate?" Official Live MV from their 10th Anniversary Tour at Yokohama Arena, since you really seemed to like the guitar solo.
Buckle up and enjoy the journey! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
130 songs. The lead guitarist is a prolific song writer. There's plenty of great songs to check out. They're great live as well.
Brilliant beginning to what will be the most exciting and fun musical journey ❤
After the early years of having songs written for them by their label, they finally broke through with this completely self-written song. After this? The label writers were retired and the creative floodgates opened 🌊
Their work spans several genres, bending and blending them at will. I’m a big fan of their third single “Choose Me,” OMV.
If you jump too far ahead, you might get disoriented 😂
From there? “DICE,” hair metal with a 🎀
Let us know what you liked, want more or less of, and it will make recommendations easier. Band Maid is no AC/DC. Nearly every Maid song is its own genre
I have been hearing the multi genre thing with them a lot. That makes me all the more excited.
Best rock band on the planet. Watch HATE? live from Yokohama Arena and buckle up.

And with a Discography of over 130 songs, I have yet to find one by the Ladies of Band-Maid, that I did NOT enjoy.
Best band on the planet 🤘🎎🤘🎎🔥🔥🔥🔥
Welcome to the fandom!
This was BAND-MAID's 1st original song.
Welcome to Band-Maid !
If you want to catch up quickly, I suggest Ohrenje's documentary on Miku part 1. All the documentaries are great, but Miku is where it all began,it will also answer some questions you might have.
Choose Me ... and Dice ... official music videos..then u can start on the live shows :)
Anything live....well, just anything from their discography would do, Try "Hate?" Thanks for sharing, Po! 🦍🍌
8/22/24 IS BAND-MAID 11TH ANNIVERSARY ❤
Dang! I was a day early!
Do YOLO
Nice reaction.👍
If you're interested in Band-Maid's MVs, you can start with
"YOLO", "Daydreaming" and "Choose Me"...
but with a catalog of over thirty-five music videos, another five people could recommend three different songs each.
If you prefer live music, you should check out "Freedom", "Onset" (Instrumental) and "Catharsis", (Acoustic)
All of the above songs are available on their official RUclips channel.😉
The following song is not available on their official channel, but it's excellent:
"Take Me Higher", live at Studio Coast:
ruclips.net/video/5P5_JVNGN7o/видео.htmlsi=2lcdZEK1ReoCo5X9 😎
Thank you! I've noted all of those songs on my list. Appreciate the time it took to share all that!
MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
Great band!
The Maids are the best band on the planet. It is really hard to find a bad song by the Maids. Their live videos are amazing.
BAND-MAIDはライブ動画をお勧めします!「HATE?」と「FREEDOM」を 特にお勧めします。
I recommend watching BAND-MAID's live videos ! I especially recommend " HATE? " and " FREEDOM ".
A lot of their songs were showing on your screen so select another slightly older song. The Non Fiction Days. Not written by the ladies but a great track and was a high energy concert closing song a number of years ago.
You should maximize the music video screen
Hi yes... I always mean to but I am used to watching them without maximizing them. That's something I'm working on remembering! 😅😅
You just can't go wrong with the Maids.
凄いでしょ?😆👍
ロックでしょ?😝👍
(Isn't it amazing?
(Rock, right?
from J fan❤🇯🇵👋😊
If you hear another six or seven songs by them you're going to find yourself in a rabbit hole that you can't climb out of
It's pigeon hole, thank you.😉
@@sugaanessena3143 Band Maid cannot be pigeonholed.
a category, typically an overly restrictive one, to which someone or something is assigned.
Hay mom, you ain't seen nothing yet..
Recommendations, Freezer, Flying High, Puzzle, Hate?, well 150 more coming
Thanks so much nice reaction!
How about Choose me or Domination is the next song?
I hope you`ll enjoy it!
live Domination 2020 and Hate ? Live Yokohama . After these , sorry you are addicted. Welcome to the Maidiacs Momma
DICE
Great reaction to a great and fairly early song of their's- Thanks. Try Blooming Official Music Video. If you make your video full screen we could see it better (UK)
