I own a Sonos Move and I love it . I also own other Sonos speakers through out my house and my Wife and I love our system. The great thing about the Move is using on our patio .

ELTRAX CONCEPT 200-Itrs now 2022 and ive just bought a pair of these speakers for a shelf. 80cm high and i only had half an inch to play with before hitting the ceiling. Sound wise i love them, alot better compared to my old Panasonic bookshelf speakers. nning 2x subs (1 is powered, 1 unpowered wired to other), amp is 800w wired to laptop headphone jack. Does me proud it does but i cannot turn it higher then a third as we have neighbours and the bass is mental.

Why was the HomePod in this recommendation video? I know it’s a good speaker but it’s public knowledge it’s been discontinued. It’s not even on apples store to buy anymore. Kinda pointless recommending a speaker that no one can buy.

Wht did you not mention the frequency response of the homepod???? You mentioned every other speaker’s but not the homepod’s. You said nothing about it’s bass extension. That’s what I was waiting to hear you mention!!!!

I think the Denon Home 350 (430€ atm) B&W Zeppelin (600€ atm), the Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation (1400€ atm) are good honorable mentions if you care about sound quality the most in a speaker that is very small for the output. But they cost a lot more than the speakers mentioned here.
I think that you’re wrong. Denon is too high and looks awkward while not offering anything special while zeppelin don’t have 3.5 and can be placed only in special places.

Exclusivity doesn't make the HomePod a good companion for your iOS device... It is simply a mark against it. The software has issues but for sound the Devialet Phantom Reactor does lower than all of these with 4" woofers.

Stereo, my Sonos 1’s and 5’ are in a stereo pair. Then I can just use my voice to play whatever song I want to whatever speaker I want in my house. You can buy speakers that can do the things you mentioned. It is not devolving- there are different speakers for different purposes. Sound quality of speakers has been improving over time. Pick up some random speakers from any decade and compare them at the equivalent type and price point and you'll see the evolution. Towers to towers, bookshelf to bookshelf, and portable speakers have all improved.
Its a pitty you did the comparison now, as it is just a couple of weeks until denon is activating its Smart Assistant Microphones on the Denon Home Speaker line via Firmware Update.

I have to say this, I'm from South Wales in the UK broadband is pathetic in fact I run my PC online faster than broadband so no point in it, so I tried to buy an Amazon speaker that your showing there than on returning it I bought the Sonos one then I ended up with the Bose 300 then also the 500, the Amazon and Sonos and I tried a couple which I can't remember I think google was one of them and all turned out to be SHIT I'm sorry but they was all SHIT the services was pathetic I called all before returning with no help what so ever but with Bose I have to say I called them and asked for help and with no problem what so ever told me straight away how to connect Bluetooth or even wifi even though I don't have a broadband I use a spare phone with no sim just spare phone then me through it and now have it running off a wifi even though I do not have wifi lol
Sonos Move’s battery life is 11 hours. It gained an extra hour battery life from a firmware upgrade some time ago.
I replaced my HomePods with Sonos’ range, best thing I’ve done.
Some nice bass and nice twins nice all-around Bluetooth speakers so I can play music in the house that could sound nice

I use two homepods as a stereo pair for Dolby Atmos sound from my AppleTV. Netflix is a lot nicer now.

Hyperboom is the best there! I have 2 and ridiculously loud and the bass is almost crazy. Optical outlet for TV soundbar and that work unbelievably!!!

No more Sonos for me. They changed it and it wouldn’t play music off my iPhone. They change them where you are forced to upgrade.

I thought this test was for "wired" speakers that are plugged in. The Sonos move was not wired.
Where does it say "wired?" Many of the recommendations are for wireless speakers.
Most are plug in smart speakers but yeah some are wireless/Bluetooth. I guess if they have the smart assistants he included them

Speakers are just evolving with the times. Most people stream music these days from a streaming service.
