    ELTRAX CONCEPT 200-Itrs now 2022 and ive just bought a pair of these speakers for a shelf. 80cm high and i only had half an inch to play with before hitting the ceiling. Sound wise i love them, alot better compared to my old Panasonic bookshelf speakers. nning 2x subs (1 is powered, 1 unpowered wired to other), amp is 800w wired to laptop headphone jack. Does me proud it does but i cannot turn it higher then a third as we have neighbours and the bass is mental.

    I think the Denon Home 350 (430€ atm) B&W Zeppelin (600€ atm), the Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation (1400€ atm) are good honorable mentions if you care about sound quality the most in a speaker that is very small for the output. But they cost a lot more than the speakers mentioned here.

    Hi there! Great video
    You didn’t mentioned the Sonos Roam, the ultra-portable Waterproof smart speaker from Sonos released 1 year ago, it sounds super amazing, it’s compatible with Airplay, Spotify Connect, Alexa and Google Assistant, and tons of music services, it’s the second portable speaker from Sonos , so besides of having Wifi it’s also a Bluetooth and waterproof speaker for outdoors usage, so amazing!.
    Thanks for mention the Wonderboom2 speaker, it’s simply the best Bluetooth speaker I’ve ever had, fully waterproof, sounds gorgeous and is a sight better than the Roam in terms of stable Bluetooth connectivity, a significantly better battery life, a reacher 360° sound and a significantly better waterproof IP67 design, it doesn’t have any Wifi capabilities but it doesn’t need it, its Bluetooth connection is pretty good, sounds great and of corse, being a Bluetooth speaker is compatible with any music platform such Spotify, Apple Music and RUclips, Great speaker!

  • @socksumi
    @socksumi 2 года назад

    You keep referring to the speakers as "it". Don't they come in stereo pairs? Was I absent for some "back to mono" movement? Or do people these days care so little about sound quality they don't even give a shit if they're listening to a single speaker? I may be old fashioned but even decades ago at least two speakers was a minimum requirement for quality sound.

    • @RTINGSdotcom
      @RTINGSdotcom  2 года назад

      No, they don't inherently come in pairs (at least not all of them). For instance, looking at the product page for the Sonos Move, you'll notice it's being sold as an individual speaker! www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/sonos-move-wireless-smart-speaker-w-amazon-alexa-and-google-assistant-built-in-black/14320851?acmp=RTINGS.com&irclickid=yDwUABXzsxyIU1ZUvKyufRNxUkDxcAy3PykLxg0&irgwc=1&ref=affiliate&IR&

    I've got to say, what a bag of shite speakers are today. Its like were going backwards and really you're buying a smart home assistant that can play one of a few limited streaming services. Got a collection of your own music? tough. Have digital music collection then? nah mate. Can I hook any of these up to my PC? don't think so. You might get stereo! and you will need your phone out with the right app loaded just to tweak anything about this piece of hardware sat right in front of you.

      Speakers are just evolving with the times. Most people stream music these days from a streaming service.

      @@obsessivecichliddisorder7258 devolved to make recurring revenue is how I'd sum it up. The fact you don't mind giving up sound quality, connectivity, flexibility and absolute basics like stereo, well I'm just SMH here.

      @@ClayMann sound quality, I prefer the sound of my Sonos 5’s than my Wharfedale setup, heck even KEF make wireless speakers that do all you want and rival many top speakers. Connectivity, 3.5mm jack is more than enough. Flexibility, I can use my Sonos speakers for music, theatre, outside and I can practically put them anywhere in my house whenever I want. Stereo, my Sonos 1’s and 5’ are in a stereo pair. Then I can just use my voice to play whatever song I want to whatever speaker I want in my house. No wonder my Wharfedale setup just sits there looking like a dinosaur in comparison.

      You can buy speakers that can do the things you mentioned. It is not devolving- there are different speakers for different purposes. Sound quality of speakers has been improving over time. Pick up some random speakers from any decade and compare them at the equivalent type and price point and you'll see the evolution. Towers to towers, bookshelf to bookshelf, and portable speakers have all improved.

    Its a pitty you did the comparison now, as it is just a couple of weeks until denon is activating its Smart Assistant Microphones on the Denon Home Speaker line via Firmware Update.

    "The 9 best home speakers...." Missleading title....
    Where are they? I don't see them. I only see some small wireless speakers...
    This is NOT what I would even consider calling a "home speaker"...
