There's so many ledges in this game that he just BARELY can't reach and it feels so clunky sometimes. Give him that lil bit of height, no cooldown on his shield and work from there. You could argue that still wouldn't be enough but it's an amazing place to start for QoL. What he does NOT need is dmg buffs. THAT is what would break this character.
@@itsnearlv A damage buff to a majority of the roster would break them. Having more jump height isn't just a qol change, it's a change In play style. That would give him even more freedom and escaping options which he already excels at. You say it's not enough but yet it's still the key factor in why he's such a good dive tank.
@@chewie-v9546 cap is mobile but he is no where near fast, u can still aim at him while he is jumping or running. hulk leap is consider fast and harder to aim. give him short duraton wall running , just a short duration momentum run and maybe some health recovery while enemy hitting the shield, hes shield is only 400HP while other one like strange has like 800HP.
Hey curry when you throw shield that fast, that mean after you get your 2 hit in, every shield throw you sprint again right after and left click fast? If you go to settings and make him always run , does it work? Or it’s have to be with the shift

Its the duration left for the shield throw, the amount of bars is as you said, the amount of shield throws you can do. It unlocks after hitting 2 melee
sometimes hes weaving in sprint to catch up to enemies while punching. other times he's doing the animation cancel on the 4 shield throws you get when you get 2 hits on an enemy. i cant figure out how he's doing the animation cancel tho
He holds the sprint buttom and quickly taps primary fire. This way he gets to animation cancel the shield throws and get more dps and also gets to chase the enemy down to compesate cap's short reach. He has a short that explains it

Im not him but the best thing i have found is wait for him to run with low health and then throw your shield (ability not the melee) near any wall he is close to and it hes low it should kill him. Other than that just let him dive you and try to block his attacks.
Also I learned today that unless Wolverine is nearly full rage, you’ll outtrade him in the 1v1. All you have to do is block his frenzied attacks after his leap with your shield then attack. Was farming Wolv passives earlier
@@flyingcheesecake3725 his cooldowns are long but I like to think of him as a less condensed venom. he does his diving in shorter bursts but has the benefit of more ways to get in/out. if I can I try to save my dive or shield charge for exiting and just rotate between them. can waste cc much better on cap than on venom, especially with the guard reflecting stuns--if you're lucky you can get luna or mantis to screw themselves over
Wolverine normally shreds tanks, but Cap's mobiilty lets him get away easily AND his shield can block Logan's post leap barrage, which is his primary source of damage.
If you put some time on him in practice range and get a feel for his most optimal combos, you should be able to reach Diamond and even GM in no time. It's what I did, but it's also super important to be playing him properly to dive, flank, distract, be annoying to make space for your team while you're wasting enemy backline's resources and cool downs while also making them turn around and look at you instead of them focusing your teammates. Make sure one of your escape tools are ready to use when engaging if not both of them (aerial slam and shield bash/dash) and this will highly increase your survivability when being pressured out during a dive. Also very important to have map knowledge on where health packs are located so you escape while quickly running to them so you can get back into the fight asap.
This game is good, but it needs a little more. I like the destructible environments, but they don’t add enough. I feel like the little health icon locations are a little old-school, and something you should be reimagined. I want better game modes as well. The only mode I like is following the traveling… Slug thingy.
You're still 100% better than me but I always pick Cap into a PenI because even if all of her nest mines are up it can only break your shield or only leave at one hp. So I coordinate with my team to take out those mines as after I tank them with the shield they can't produce any more in time and they break. Most Peni's do not expect coordination on that level as you just made her character useless in one button press. And if she does have mines on her nest you can just wait for the shield to come back or you can use your dash to get out. Not 100% bullet proof but Cap is definitely the best tank to deal with Peni as unlike Strange Cap has insane mobility.

I've been seeing more and more good Peni players lately. If I get netted early on in a match, I know I'm in for a rough time.

Sprint tech I've just been using melee attack buttom over regular fire while you sprint!
Don't hold melee, think of it like CS one tap, but you just spam the one tap. Shield toss cancels are dependent on what your setup is.
He has a short explaining the tech, but basically just press sprint after ur shield hits

Why is Cap good against Wolverine? Is it because he's the only tank that can block melee damage?
Yeah, Cap can block a lot of wolverines damage.
That and he can escape Wolvie easier than other tanks as Wolverine shreds him

It only reflects projectiles, blocks everything though including melee

You just rapidly click m1 to animation cancel while running. Gives you more Dps
