Good Video ! I just picked up the 2021 Harley Softail StreetBob and want the rear 1 inch lower. I set the shock at 1 so least pre-load.. Im at 160Lbs.. Cannot find any lowering kit for the 2021 models yet.. Any ideas ? I sub'd to your channel..
Hi thanks for watching and subscribing ...if you search lowering kits for 2018 .2019 street bobs .you should fine some options which will fit your year as the bike is the same 😎
I had to get a progressive shock to lower mine. (Same bike/year) it didn’t really do much at all unfortunately.🙄
Actually, I retract my previous comment. Turns out the dealership actually want to alternative wrote of the progressive shock, and did some foreign Mueller lowering kit that requires a strut press. Which is an insane amount of $ and clearly not as easily adjustable unless you want to pay an additional thousand dollars just to have it re-positioned. 🙄
What setting should I put it on with a passenger? I’m 240 she’s 130 , 2020 fxbb
Would probably think 6 or 7. Depending on road surfaces
Are the newer softails supposed to come with that tool upon purchase? 🤔
I think it’s not standard Mine didn’t come with one. I think it’s 20£,$,€ tool depending on where you are.
If you are buying the bike brand new , yes should come with the bike....
I bought mine brand new. They gypped me. 🙄
I bought my wife a 2021 street bob, she is 4,11 130 lbs, what setting can I put it?
Leaving it on 1 would be just fine I would think.
The struggle is REAL for women like your wife and I. I’m 5ft 106lbs. Had bike lowered w/progressive shock….(barely made a difference) I haven’t checked what setting the preload is in yet, I also wasn’t provided that nifty little tool though 🙄 Has your wife done anything to help her reach the ground on her bike? If so please share 🙏🏽
the tools are somewhere ?? cause they didn't gave me a set of tools with the bike.
I got the tools given to me personally when I purchased the Bike from New. Maybe check with your HD Dealer ?
@@kiwigrandtours well I had a key for my old progressive 412 for my sporster and also worked well for the shock on the street bob. So all is good now :-) thanks
The worst suspension I've ever had on a motorcycle.....worked well for 7000k's then it appears to have seized. It's like riding with no suspension at all!
My kidneys are killing me!😫
Wow thats not good.Maybe take into dealer to see if spring still has momment ?
