As the first track of his beloved Studio Sessions album, Headhunterz introduced ‘Dreamcatcher’. Released and rocking dance floors in 2010, it was the follow-up to the mighty ‘Psychedelic’. You’ll notice that the same sense of mystery and melancholy haunts both of these classic gems. No wonder, as they were created in the same period of time, when Willem’s interest in the spiritual side of things started growing bigger and bigger.
Willem: “At that point in time, I let go of the idea that I needed to create an entirely new style. I always kind of did, but from that moment on I really made music from within, driven by my own feelings and emotions. ‘Dreamcatcher’ was made with the same thoughts in mind as ‘Psychedelic’, to create a mysterious and hallucinatory atmosphere. It grew into a B-side, but I still really enjoy listening to it.”
