  • Hello beautiful people! As an avid proponent of natural skincare and anti-aging techniques, I have extensively researched red light therapy. In today's video, I look deeply into its various uses, and highlight the pros and cons of masks, panels, and wands. I explain the science behind the therapy, and its role in boosting cellular energy and collagen production for skin rejuvenation, fine line and wrinkle reduction, pain alleviation, and wound healing. Hopefully, this will help you decide which device is right for you! 💖 xox Jodylynn
    Red light therapy is a form of therapy that uses red and near-infrared light to stimulate healing, reduce inflammation, and improve skin health. It primarily functions by increasing energy production in mitochondria, which in turn generates ATP, essential for cellular function. Red light therapy has been shown to increase collagen production, making the skin firmer and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, as well as potentially decreasing pain and accelerating wound healing. When choosing a red light therapy device, factors such as power density, wavelength, and distance from the device should be considered for optimal results.

    Hi Jodlynn, I was wondering if the Itherau panel as effective? Im just wondering why there are these super cheap products on Amazon, and whether its because the light is weaker. I was looking into getting a Hooga, but am tempted by the cheaper panels. Also, for anti ageing benefits, is a 620-30nm better or worse than 660nm? thanks so much

    • @AgingNaturallywithJodylynn
      @AgingNaturallywithJodylynn  7 месяцев назад +2

      This is such a great question and one that I don't think I can answer. I can tell you that based on their specifications it should be effective. The light is very light which makes me wonder if it would break rather easily. If you have never tried RLT and are on a budge, I do think it is worth a go. You may want to invest in a higher quality panel in the future years. From my understanding 600-650 is RLT and 650-950 is Deep Red-NIR (Near Infrared). Both together are going to be better for skin rejuvenation. However, some people can't use NIR because it can penetrate some heat and people that have melasma that is irritated by heat shouldn't use NIR. Then RLT would be best for them. I hope that helps! This information is taking from the book: The Ultimate Guide to Red Light Therapy.

    So you have to do 20 minutes with a panel ? Do you have to wear eye protection? I like to look at things on my phone or watch tv . That’s why I got the Omnilux mask . But I find it uncomfortable to be honest. Want the neck mask . But too expensive. I can’t seem to like the idea of just sitting there doing nothing for 20 minutes if I have to wear an eye mask with a panel . But I do have pain issues. So I am interested. Thank you ❤

    • @AgingNaturallywithJodylynn
      @AgingNaturallywithJodylynn  7 месяцев назад +2

      Hello! You shouldn't need 20 minutes for a panel. Panels can be 6-10 minutes. If you are talking about reducing pain, that would be more time. But it sounds like you mean skin rejuvenation. The JOVS RLT mask, you can multi task. The lights are very targeted so they don't spread out therefore you can view your phone while wearing a mask, you can definitely multitask. But it is pricey. A panel you cannot multitask. You should close your eyes, the lights are just too bright to do anything. I hope that helps.

      @@AgingNaturallywithJodylynnHi,
      I have Omnilux men( because it's stronger) since September 2023,great results,but because I won't spend money on neck piece,I ' be been using it on my neck as well, because it's flexible.
      My skin definitely got glowing and less wrinkles, but I was interested in buying something that gives more results and that I can use for my husband's psoriasis and my son's thinning hair.
      I found Alex Fergus on RUclips ,he does reviews for all imaginable kinds of RLT devices.
      And this week I ordered table top panel from BlockBlueLight company,it in it's way from Australia.
      Hopefully,I will be able to get even better results.
      Because with home devices it's hard to say,my skin in good condition because I'm using RX tretinoin and AHA's,BHa's and sunscreen and vit C , peptide,you name it.
      Fingers crossed.

    Thanks for sharing the calculator but the calculator is based off of a distance of 0 inches so how do we calculate based off your recommended distance of 12 inches? The calculator doesn't have the option to change the value of distance..I have a hooga pro300 panel (which is supposed to have an irradiance of 109mW/cm2 at 6”) I use so the distance can vary (compared to a mask directly on your face 0 inches away).. Also can one just drink green tea or it needs to be applied topically to the skin somehow?

    • @AgingNaturallywithJodylynn
      @AgingNaturallywithJodylynn  5 месяцев назад

      Hello! I want to make sure I'm thinking this through correctly, if you put the irradiance of 109, that is what the Hooga is at 6", so that would be the distance, correct? For example, if you know that 6 inches is at 109, then in the calculator you would put 109W, and let's say you want 50 joules, add that in and you have 7 minutes. So 6 inches away for 7.6 minutes would give you about 50 joules. Right? I'm sure drinking green tea is great for health some benefits, but I can't say that it will work the same as Appling it to the face. The serums on the face are going to work differently with the skin cells that ingesting it, I would think. But I'm no expert in that. I hope this helps!

      The only mask I'm able to use and multitask is with the JOVS 4D mask. The light is laser light and more precise so no light is lost. Other masks, the light is so bright that you can't really move around. With a panel, yeah, you should close your eyes. Does that help?
