      I think the hood panels are .040 thick

    What is the reason for choosing a live axle verses a Differential axle?

      I wanted something easy to install and maintain. The differential offers a very nice driving experience, but this kart will not be driven hard enough to enjoy those performance improvements.

      Also, the wheels I chose required the axle to go all the way through the wheel and hub, that required a wider axle than is available for the differential.
