@@SamDaviesBuilder thanks Sam. Ah it’s taking long enough 😂 - Only just over half way there and at it more than a year. I’ll keep at it though. Will get there in the End ✌️- Thanks a mill again Sam
Very good but noticed you replaced with a housing unit containing a pump not just the pump. Can the pump be separated from the unit or does that vary from model to model
My dryer sounds like it’s draining water but that’s it. It’s not turning or drying. Thanks to you I took it to bits and the bottom was full of sludge. I’ve cleaned it all out but it’s still just making the draining sound. Do I need a new pump?
Hey There! Love the channel name! Would love an all nighter but not sure the body would be able 🤔 - Anyway Is your machine a condenser dryer and what make is it please ?
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 Just realised what you meant by channel name 😂 my granddaughters have high jacked my account. I can’t do all nighters now. Usually in bed by 8 😂
🤣Oh I can do them but I need to take two days off to stay in bed after it! Sorry now for the questions-so with a load from the washing machine is the drum not turning?
Hey. Unfortunately sometimes they just go noisey over time. I have had to change quiet a few, like you said pumps fine but very nosey. When taking out the old pump everything seems to be in perfect condition. Just wear and tear is all.
Mine has started leaking from the condenser recently, under said condenser was like foam that was really wet to the touch, I pulled it off (big mistake) as it started leaking more, the collection tray at the top is always empty now, is it possible possible replace the foam do you know? Thanks.
Hi Matt, I think the main issue you have is the dryer not pumping water into the water collection tray. This will either be a blockage or a problem with the pump. At the back corner of the dryer you will see a bulged plastic cover. If you can take this off (be gentle as it is held onto the back of the dryer with flimsy enough clips) clean up inside there first.!also make sure the pump propeller is ok as sometimes these get damaged stopping the water pumping up into the water tray. If all here seems ok, pull on the condenser you mentioned above and reach in and get all the fluff you can get out out of it. Especially the bottom right as there is a hole there that can get blocked which stops the water getting down into the pump chamber. Let me know how you get on 👍
That's great wat if my pipes at the back were in the wrong hole on the bottom of the dryer wat damage can it cause if I put it on like this for one load of washing I've put them right now but I hope I haven't damaged my dryer
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 yes so I bought a new pump for the dryer and switched it out today no problem but it's still not drying the clothes heats up no issue just won't collect water or lint

That’s Great Nina, I’m glad it was of help to you 🙂
congratulations for your video
Thank you! 😃
Hi, the box that collects the water under the pump. Do you know how to replace one of those or where I would get a replacement from?
Hey, I think that is actually part of the Machine and can’t be replaced. I am open to correction though on that
You are my hero! 🎉

No the pump can be replaced separately 🙂👌👍
Hope this sorts out my issue, I've subscribed n thanks for the video
No problem Ki- Thank you for subscribing 👍
Brilliant thank you
You are very welcome 🙂👍
My pump seems to be operating 100% of the time. Is this a fault with the float? Isnt the pump supposed to turn off when the float is its low position?
@@pvas77 Hi, Apologies I only saw this, I was away on holiday. Did you manage to get it sorted out ?

Would you know what causes the pump on a hotpoint tumble dryer to make a funny noise but still pumps water.

Hi Gemma. It should be ok if you only did one cycle 👍
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 oh thank god lol where would the water have gone just so I can clean it all out
If you take the condenser box out (Bottom left) held in with 3 clips and clean out any water in there you should be right as rain 🙂👍
