I’m Mexican American from the Bay Area, so many similarities between our cultures. I feel like you guys are our cousins lol. I love senorita bread definitely going to try this one out
Lol cuz of spanish influence which is stupid for her to say it's 100% authentic Filipino. Lol no. Spanish Brought wheat spices and all sorts of animals to the islands. Most of what is Filipino is spanish/ Chinese based.
Your recipe was easy to follow. It only took me 2 attempts to get it down. The first time, I found out my yeast was dead. The second attempt, I poured the yeast in like you did but yours was instant and my was active dry yeast so after letting my dough sit for an hour and I didn't see any changes, I realized what I did wrong so I put some yeast in warm water to proof it then add it to my dough and knead it. The only thing I need to work on is making them all the same size. I also shared your recipe with a fb page that showed a lot of interest. So happy I found your recipe! Thank you for sharing!
this is literally my favourite thing to eat I remember my aunties baking these for me and all my cousins and they were the best things I've ever had in my mouth lmao
Hi I made this one during lockdown here in Malaysia and Coz the recipe so nice some of my friends buying it to me now..Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe..❤️❤️❤️
OMG! I always get nervous when kids try my food because they don't hold back any judgment! When they enjoy it, it makes my day and I know my recipe is successful. 😍
im not filipino but when i was kid there used to be this bakery nd my family used to always buy a whole bag of spanish bread on my way back from school but then we moved nd i havent had the bread in yearsss IM DETERMINED TO MAKE THIS AAAAA
Thank you for sharing your talent of baking! I just don’t know why people click the thumb’s down button, what’s not to like? I think she does a pretty good job with what she does!
You're so sweet Gerri! I'm sure there's some bots out there or something pressing the thumbs down...nonetheless, all I care about are supportive and loving people like you. Thank you!
Thank you made the recipe last night and it was a success. Tip to reheat place bread in bowl and a wet paper towel on top and microwave for thirty seconds and it’s soft and warm as if just freshly baked 😋
That’s what I’m doing 😂 I came here for the filling, when I was researching how to make Spanish bread, they make the bread so complex and to me it’s similar to pandesal except it has filling instead haha
Hi! I did the recipe of yours and it turned amazingly good! My family esp. my husband likes it. Trying this I started baking and selling here. Thanks a lot. 😊
hi jeanelle, im from phils..thank you for sharing your recipe, as of the moment i am pre heating my oven, this is my 3rd time to bake your spanish bread recipe, my family loved it😊

Thanks for the recipe! I tried it but it seems your measurement conversion to grams was off for the flour. My weighing scale showed 560 grams came up to only 3 1/2 cups of flour and the dough came up too wet. When I measured to 4 1/2 cups on my second attempt at this recipe, it was 750 grams of flour. Hope this helps.
Hi I have a question, regarding the measurements can I use the cups instead of grams bec. I don't have a bakingscale right now, but the problem is the measurements is somewhat different from the cups and grams.. Esp. The flour I used grams before when i had my baking scale.. It's 560gm but in cups it measures only 3 1/2cup but in the description it's 4 1/2 which one is correct.. Thank you so much.
It’s better if you use warm milk because it’ll help the yeast become livelier and give your bread a better rise! Just make sure it’s not too hot - after you heat it, dip your fingers in the milk. If it doesn’t burn, it’s ok to use!
Thanks Jeanelle , I made this yesterday and it turned out really nice , I made half the recipie and loved it :) Thanks for sharing , spanish breads are my favourite
Ooh I’d say the easiest way is to freeze the final baked bread by putting it in freezer safe bags! You can freeze the dough before sticking it in the oven to bake, but the time that the dough will defrost will vary. You’d have to do the poke test to see when it’s ready to bake
Bread came out perfectly...super soft, yummy, sweet. It’s better than any spanish bread I’ve ever bought. Thank you for the recipe
oh my goodness what a compliment. thank you so much, and I'm just so happy your bake turned out well!

Can i use bread flour instead of all purpose flour?
Hi Jeanelle, Is it ok to use bread flour instead of regular flour? Unfortunately, i only have enough regular flour to use for the filing. Thanks!
Hey Patty, YES most certainly! It might require just a splash more water, but you will barely tell the difference!! Enjoy!
I made them because you made them❤
Hi i just tried your recipe and it was so fluffy and so good my family loves it!!thank you so much God bless!! Watching here from norway!!!

I don't have any sweet bread crumbs is that ok? Also when I buy it from starbread do they put butter on top? Because it comes sticky on top

Can I use Fleischmann’s Bread machine Yeast? I can’t find an instant yeast wherever I go :(
Ivy Vera yes you can! It’ll just rise a lot faster so keep an eye on it!
@@Jeanelleats Hi Jeanelle, do I have to put the active yeast to milk first before putting it to the rest of ingredients?
Yay thanks so much for your reply.
Can you use Active Yeast instead of Instant Yeast?
I think i will try making this;)
Do you warm the milk or no? Im trying to make it but im not sure if milk needs to be warm. When i made my pandesal it was warm milk. Thanks

can you use crushed graham crackers for your crumbs?
YES! Graham crackers would be the perfect substitute!
Can I make this without a stand mixer
Ohhh.sarap nyan

Sunny Island awww thank you so much! I am so glad you are enjoying these videos!!
Can you make this like Ube Senorita bread?
Yes
Can I use bread flour instead of all purpose flour?
How can I make n freeze this for later?
Ooh I’d say the easiest way is to freeze the final baked bread by putting it in freezer safe bags!
You can freeze the dough before sticking it in the oven to bake, but the time that the dough will defrost will vary. You’d have to do the poke test to see when it’s ready to bake
Instead of just bread crumbs, can u also just roll them into sugar to get the caramelized top??
Kamryn Her that. Is. GENIUS!!! Yes, I’d do it. Maybe brush some milk, water, or oil on top to help the sugar stick!
I’ll try to make this one..
Yess let me know how it goes!
I love your dough :)
Our mum made this and ur recipe is amazing and easy to follow! Yum! New subscriber here 🤩
YAY Thank you so much sweeties! 🥰 I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Can I prepare dough overnight then bake the next morning ?
YES you most certainly can! Make sure you refrigerate the dough for its first rise, then shape in the morning and allow for a second rise. Then bake!
