Zero_BS_Tolerance there is a group of men in Africa who don’t have a toilet and live in sparse dirt floor one room homes that call themselves the Dandies and spend every cent they have on flaunting this lifestyle. I watched a video here on RUclips about them a while back. I must admit that they most certainly stood out and looked amazing which of course is their goal! Loved their attitudes and how happy these garments and shoes bought into their otherwise empty lives . 😀🌹 found its to be a great upload.

It’s not a Regency novel if the Beau does not make at least one speaking appearance. The Egyptians thought you lived as long as our name is spoken. The Beau can rest well in the green reed fields of Osiris.

Syphilis is less common these days because it can be prevented via condoms or cured via antibiotics. With that being said, its first 3 stages either have no symptoms or have symptoms that imitate other, less serious illnesses, so if you do suspect that you have it in the modern era, go get a blood test for it and get treatment immediately. If it progresses to the final stage, it can cause deformity and (often incurable) mental illness.

All I can think of is inspiring Sir Percy Blakeney from The Scarlet Pimpernel with being the lead dandy in British fashion and society with perfectly tailored elegant garments, immaculate renown for a proper cravat, and even having gained the favor of the Prince of Wales and having what appears to be a lazy blue eye, all characteristics of the novel, I have to believe Brummel was at least slight inspiration or a model for Blakeney!
How unfortunate for Beau that his fate wasn't as similar as the literary hero's. Also, you do such a wonderful job portraying history and these stories - grateful to have found you and your channel!

Beau Brummel was a fashion icon and his "Dandyism" was a fashion trend in London in the early years of the 19th century.
But because of his offending the then Prince of Wales who later became George IV Brummel was cast aside as an outsider.George IV did not want to have anything to do with him.
His life afterwards was riddened with debts and the creditors were aftering him.He fled to France but died as a recluse owing to complications from syphilis in 1840.

George IV was definitely heterosexual. Women, especially those with a motherly air about them, were a huge weakness for him.
Beau on the other hand, I have no idea.

Well, can't please everyone. It's okay that it's not somes ' cup of tea, the ones I do not get the dislikes is when they save a suffering person or animal. And maybe they thought one of those he asked in a poll didn't come yet?

04:22 Showing the wrong Prince, he is talking about Beau's connection with George IV, yet has a picture of Edward VII as a Prince. That is my only criticism otherwise no reason for anyone to dislike these videos.
