    99.999999% of the audience is not going to notice those little differences in the tone of your guitar or voice. Most of that can be adjusted by EQ. You just don't want noise or no signal!

    I wanted to share something I tried with my inexpensive guitar wireless that worked... I hate seeing the transmitter in the guitar I prefer a cable look so I bought the Arkon swivel belt clip for a phone. It has that little round disk that gets 3m taped to a device and snapped into a belt clip. I put that on the transmitter and bought a 1FT 1/4 Inch Right Angle TS Male to 1/4 Inch TS Female Adapter cable. Now its like having a wireless pack. Plus it will swivel and not pull on the cord.

    Couldn't agree more - I've got the Lekato in ear system which i almost went full time on but it often messes with our 2.4Gig Router for mixing the band. We use expensive AKG in ears and even those crackle almost all the time, i resynced my pack and its better now, but some venues give crackle. I use a Boss pedal board wireless system (WL-60) on 2.4 and a backup lekato system (the swift audio comparible one on 700mgz i think). I wanted a 1 device does one thing setup but it just isn't the case, 2.4 is a terrible band, and 5g wasn't any better (tried the amoon 5g system and it froze twice on me on stage, and having to manually select channels on both systems doesnt work for me). Anyways cheers Dude!

    • @ScottUhlMusic

    Good quick rehash for those new to your channel! In one of my bands my bassist and I both have 2.4ghz budget units and my transmitter hijacks both receivers. This is why I typically bring my 5.8ghz to keep out of the way. We both always have patch cords handy in case something goes wrong and live with being tethered again. It's a perk, not a privilege :)

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  3 месяца назад

      Thanks! And yeah, I tried to keep this one super short for new people to the channel so I didn’t have to rehash it every time haha. And good call, 5.8ghz is usually better 🤘

    Lekato system (I have the same but with M-Vave logo on it) that you note as 1 channel only has 10+ channels. It just dont have channel switch button and it needs to go to pairing mode to sync transmitter and receiver channels, it works like low-latency bluetooth and uses same frequencys. I use it as a backup IEM for my band due to its incredibly small size and when we used 5 pairs at one time on different channels (different AUX mixes on Behringer XR18) - it works pretty fine. Only problem is that its channels kinda wide - so, if you use 2-3 and more pairs at same time - in my cases, all 2.4Ghz Wifi routers became totally unusable, I mean totally, wifi connection works about 5-6 seconds and then ipad looses connection to router (and it was external D-Link, not internal router in XR18), I tried to switch router channels - no effect. When I disable 3 of 5 transmitters and left with only 2 AUX IEM (divided between 5 receivers) - only then I got fine wifi connection to my XR18.
    Biggest cons of this system is lacking of any input gain indication or input gain controls. And 12ms latency. M-Vave has 5.8 Ghz IEM system like this (but it still not on their website), a bit larger body size, it literally kills every 5.8Ghz guitar wireless on stage - and has about 28ms latency (yep, this is very bad).

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  3 месяца назад +1

      Oh interesting! That makes sense, that it finds a clear signal… but with no real way to change it, that’s a little rough. And the more cheap wireless on stage, the more likely you will run into problems. Thanks for sharing!

    • @hellsq
      @hellsq 3 месяца назад

      @@ScottUhlMusic yes, so I use it only as a backup. This days I just divide systems by frequencys: I use 4 IEM transmitters with 5 reciever bodypacks (bass player and drummer on one channel - if they have some issues, they will get it together=)) working on 500-600 mhz range, 2.4 Ghz wifi router and 5.8 Ghz instrument systems like Ammoon.

    Curious to get your thoughts on the BLX24r (H9 band) mic system for a Colorado Springs band playing Denver pretty often. Shure frequency finder shows available freq’s in both cities, would you run it if you didn’t have cash for SLXD? … it’s weird cuz our IEM’s are the PSM300’s (J13 band) and show 0 freq’s available in Denver but (knock on wood) but they’ve worked almost flawlessly in Denver thus far

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  3 месяца назад

      Yeah check the band for the best one. But once you start adding more and more wireless you’ll want the higher end stuff. Blx is a good system, but the bandwidth is narrow and the system is analog. So digital will always be more reliable. Space them out from each other physically on stage will also help 👍

    Blocking this channel. First one ever!
    Can't stand the "sponsored by Temu" content that is going to annoy every technician that has to come across and deal with this junk in the future because "Scott Uhl said that it's a good product".
    For someone who claims to be a "Pro" or at least does a damn hard try to get that image out there, you only produce junk content aimed at getting as much views as possible.
    And be a real stand up guy and do not erase this negative comment.

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  3 месяца назад +1

      I don’t delete negative comments. Did you watch the video? Or my other video explaining the difference between cheap and high end wireless? Im very clear what the differences are so people can make the right choice. Some people are looking for budget stuff that gets the job done, other people are looking for pro gear. I review both on my channel, and you can make the decision for yourself.
      It is a double edged sword because if I review something cheap, I get comments like this (although you are the first to claim to “block” me). But if I review higher end stuff I get the “no way, that’s overpriced, you just sold your soul for the products/company” comments.
      Really odd you left this comment on this video specifically which is meant to show the limitations of budget wireless gear.
      I stand by my reviews and I use 99% of it live to test it out before I review it, and I do not recommend bad products. Sounds like you personally should avoid the cheap stuff, but I’ve received countless other comments saying it’s helped them out. I stand by my videos. 👍

    • @Richard1977
      @Richard1977 3 месяца назад

      @ScottUhlMusic RUclips has a funny way of only recommending your videos on cheaper stuff.
      So you can see that gets annoying, especially if you are like me and coming the "A-game"-league where quality and reliability counts and you can't show up with anything but the best. Also because you are hired for that and get paid accordingly.
      So maybe a bit of laziness on my part but when you scroll thru recommendations and only get your reviews on cheaper stuff...
      Blocked your channel was necessary because hitting "Not interested" didn't help. So you have RUclips to thank for that.
