Are You Proud to Be an American?

- Do you believe that there is no better place to live for anyone, of any race, than America? Is America the most exceptional, freest nation to ever exist, or is it an oppressive, systemically racist country? In honor of the USA's birthday, Will Witt asks people on Santa Monica Pier if they're proud to be American, and what they feel when they see the American flag.

I don't think the creators and supporters of our current "Shadow Government" were panicked by Joe's failure last Thursday;
I think they were afraid because we now know they lied and gaslit us about Joe being incompetent on Day 1 of his presidency.
I'm surprised DC was not surrounded by hundreds of thousands of people with torches and pitchforks, come to remove the traitors who have conned us.

This flag represents the freedom we have today, all thanks to the great men and women past and present who served our Country. I am 25 years old, and it disgusts me how patriotism is on a down fall. To those who are ungrateful, you have NO idea how good you have it in this Country.

@@yikwanwong8267 This Country has it's own issues, there's no denying that, but that doesn't change the fact that it is a great Country. The homeless crisis ties in with terrible policy, mental illness and many other underlying factors. Before we even came to the U.S., do you realize how many Native Americans have slaughtered others? It was not always a peaceful environment. This is coming from a guy who loves Native American culture. There is also a thing called conquering, which we did. You even said it yourself, slavery has been abolished, and segregation has ended. Now men and women of all races share the same freedom we're granted here. Why are people still wearing masks?
It's the peoples republic of santa monica.
Because they've been brainwashed to believe that the government always has their best interest at heart, and were taught to obey, so they follow blindly without question.
I grew up in Orange County and had completed grade school before the curriculum changed.
We said the pledge of allegiance every morning, recognized George Washington's and Abraham Lincoln's birthdays separately, instead of conglomerating them into "Presidents' Day", BS holidays like Kwanza didn't exist, and the two-week Christmas Break was called the "Christmas Break", not "The break for the holidays".
Over the past 50 years, Democrats have destroyed California and made it the bankrupt, morally corrupt, and lawless crap hole it is today. And it's only going to continue to get worse and be harder to survive there as long as people keep obeying and going along with what the Socialist Democrats in Sacramento want.

I was born here; my mom's parents emigrated from Sicily in 1906 and 1911 when they were in their teens & before they met (an arranged marriage, they met once and agreed to marry.)
My father was born here, his people came from Arkansas.
My paternal grandfather was the first child born after my great grandfather returned from the Civil War. We had relatives that fought on both sides.
We also had relatives who were civilians, murdered by Union soldiers: a boy of 13 and an old great grandfather.
My American grandfather raised cattle & horses in New Mexico.
My Sicilian grandmother's father was murdered by bandits in Sicily - beaten to death in his fields.
My emigrant grandparents arrived here legally & became citizens as soon as possible. They married in 1914 in Chicago. Proud to be Americans.
My great aunt in Sicily thought, like many other Italians, that they would become Americans after WW2: their thinking due to the tradition of war and conquest: those who "won" the war became the new owners of the land.

Yes, I AM AN AMERICAN PATRIOT.
I'm grateful to be an American because of the freedoms we have here - but proud of how it is now? No. The good things the U.S. has done, I am glad to remember but the country - especially the governments (local, state, and federal) have all done some pretty rotten things to the American people and to others. Pride is a dangerous thing. So I won't use that word to describe how I feel about the country.
Gen Z here and PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤙🏼
