Excellent historical video and well focused on the Waterloo medal, its design and history. Excellent narrative on the historical setting, the battle in detail, and also the fight for the recognition of the veterans that earned this medal. 10 out of 10 RUclips content. Amazing stuff. Subscribed!
Great video and series. Both my 5th Great Granddad and his younger brother were both at Waterloo and I have a museum grade copy medal for my 5th great Granddad. I also have an original medal issued to a man who served at the battle in the same regiment as my 5th Great Granddads younger brother.
Thank you and I am glad you are enjoying the series. Your family seems to have a proud military history. Are your ancestors original Waterloo medals still around ? They would make for an outstanding family keepsake. Rob
@@britishvictoriancampaignme4464 Unfortunately not for the medals - hence having the replica made. We do have the Original medals for the last four generations including the Boar war, WW I, WW II, and post war campaigns/conflicts.
Brilliant, so glad I stumbled upon this channel. Not nearly enough content like this available to novice collectors like me.
