- Honda Jon bringing you this quick video showing these amazing door sill protectors. They are inexpensive and look amazing on the Accord. They will protect your door sillfrom scratches and dings. And the faux carbon fiber looks great without being overdone. And if you want to wire them up all four door sills light up when you open the door. They are plug and play. Check them out here:

@@HondaJon You know what would be dope, if they had a way to get the Accord letters white 3m reflector. Would probably look better at night too.

Threw these on today too... Very nice overall. I think the carbon fiber of the paddle shifter extensions looks so good it makes these look poorer in comparison lol.
For the money though these are absolutely awesome and have the correct font. I didn't bother to plug them in either. Without knowing the color etc, plus hiding the wiring looks like a PITA.
Right on man. Yeah I actually like how the fake carbon fiber is a matte finish so it doesn’t stick out. I feel it blends perfectly and then when you get in the driver seat it’s all the real deal. Yeah I personally don’t like the lit sills. I like the subtle look of these. Great choice for your ride

They look Great with a touch of carbon fiber look I personally am not a fan of excessive carbon fiber customization that so many do but with those sills having the brushed aluminum they are unique I am a big fan of brushed black titanium that is gorgeous I showed you some pics of my center console Jon a while ago Those do look great though I would have cut the wires too as I like clean customization It gets to a point we’re you can over customize a car and things don’t flow correctly Already having a ambient light kit that was they way to go

Have these same ones, but regular black plastic. Ordered from china like a year ago, they light up blue... wish it was white though. Nice work bro

Just an observance, wouldn't you want those out further the protect the edge of the paint? Invariably people drag their shoes across the sill. They do look nice though.
Yeah but by design it supposed to go under the lip of the rubber sill to hide the wire. What I do is put a clear peice of vinyl over the rounded edge to protect it like you said. It is prone to that. With the clear vinyl it’s invisible

Which arness of the front left panel down stering wheel is the correct to the stil led light? I have yet connected the White With White arness and only work que the fog lamps turn on
Honestly I never connected them. It should be the same as the oem ones. Do you have the instructions for the oem sills?

The oem one should let you know which plug to plug into.
Know where I can find some install instructions? Just got mines.
I would download the OEM instructions from College Hills Honda. That way you can route to wire the same and it should plug in the same harness

How do you install the wiring?
You have to remove the plastic thresholds and run the plug under the steering wheel. Go to college hills honda and you can use the instructions for the oem one. They are the sane.
Its not terribly difficult. Just gotta remove trim and plum wire to both sides of the car.
Hi Jon , I have Camrey for the last 6 or so cars. I leased my first Honda Accord yesterday Exl. So these are just cosmetic correct .. When you do the clear vinyl - do you just put it below the logo?
Congratulations. These are cosmetic but also protect the door sill from scratches. Yeah I would add a clear vinyl strip where this meets and go over the lip of the sill. Easy and will provide ultimate protection
Do these connect to a port like the older accords? Or do you have to hardwire these somewhere?
They are plug and play like the oem ones.

I didn’t wire them. I personally don’t like when they light up so I cut the wiring. It’s not hard to do since it’s plug and play.
I thought about the courtesy lights but don’t want to mess with the wiring right now. It does look nice though.

Don't the OEM ones actually go up on the plastic, not the actual door sill?
They do which so nothing to protect the paint. Previous ones went on the painted silk which is way more effective.
@@HondaJon Honda make a OEM lower door sill protector that looks pretty cool too. I really like the carbon fiber ones you found too though. I wonder if they would fit correctly on the upper door sill trim where the OEM ones go?

Jon, say your headlights are on the Auto position, your car is turned off, and it is dark out. If you press the unlock button on your key fob, do the headlights automatically turn on as opposed to just the DRL cause its dark? Just wondering if this is a Honda feature.
Good question. Yes that’s exactly how it works. It uses a light sensor to detect how dark it is. Even when the sun is setting they will come on. It’s a nice added feature of this.
Hey Jon,quick question what gas do u use for ur accord?i just got my car almost 2 weeks now and im thinking if should just stick with 87 or i go higher thanks and be safe.
Hi. I use 87. I have used 91 and it felt a little peppier. Some people say it gives more power and some say it doesn’t. I feel for the price it can’t hurt and will probably give more power since the owner’s manual says use an octane of at least 87.

Yeah. You will get a lot of opinions. My suggestion is to run your tank down to nothing and fill it with the highest octane you have and see what you think. I feel it does add a tad more power and this cars use a lot of boost so it definitely can help.

Hey Jon , this is unrelated but on Honda Financial to do your car payments is yours saying there is a outage also?
I always pay through my bank. I’ve heard it won’t let you make payments though

Do you recommend any door guards that would match with the door seals?
Not quite sure what you mean. Door guards the protect the edge of the door
like door protection film for the bottom half to prevent scratches
They do make a nice one that has a faux carbon fiber pattern. I was thinking of getting it. Search on eBay for accord door panel protector
