you are a fantastic man
great work
Since this is sedan, could you only use the front sills if your car is a coupe?
I bought my illuminated door sill from ebay. Should i purchase a harness to connect it or should I just splice the wires and connect it to the dome light wires? I don't want to mess my car up
mee chang I thought the ebay ones did already come with the plug. If you purchased one without it then you will need to splice it. If you did not want to slice wires..you should have purchased OEM.
Good work bro, do you think this installation will also apply on 2016 civic?
Question. Love what you did here but I was wondering if the tape on the back of the trim that sticks to the surface is strong enough to hold it in place throughout the wear and such. Do you notice any shifting or becoming loose?
Salvador Moran Are you referring to the red 3M double side tape? That stuff will last for years on end. Very strong tape. I use the same tape to hold lip kits, window visor and such on my other vehicles exterior.
Were is part three for the LED sill plate? This must cover the wiring harness install.

Hello friend. How can i find this clips that helped you put the wire across? Thank u.
The clip is included if you purchase the genuine honda illuminated door sill. Honda does not sell the clip by itself. You really do not need the clip. Clip is there to help prevent the wires from accidentally getting cut and creating a short. Just tape the wire that goes over the metal piece.
@@DIYCarModz Yeah i already just tape the wire that goes over the metal piece. But i thought that i can buy this clip by itself. Thank you for answer. May be i could find this clip on Ali. I need it just for estetic veiw, that all be look beautiful :)
If you turn the overhead light switch position from "DOOR" to "OFF" will that also turn off the sill illumination? I"m wondering in case I want to keep the door open for an extended time but don't want any lights draining the battery.
+Jesus Faith The door sill only function on the same timer as the dome light. The on off door switch on the dome light does not affect the door sill at all.
+DIY: Car Modz I don't understand what you mean...the dome light comes on when the car door is open if the switch is set to "DOOR"....so if the switch is set to off then when you open the car door no lights should come on....if the sill light come on then its not connected with the overhead dome light...at least that's what makes sense to me...let me know if I"m missing something. Thanks.
Hi
I have a 2006 audi avant. have the audi brand? where I can buy it?
I cant seem to find the instructions
how much was it from the dealership?
DOOR SILL TRIM, ILLUMINATED
08e12-t3l-100
$182.50
what did you wire it into to get power to the lights?
+Jeffery Wayne to the factory accessory slot.
+DIY: Car Modz where is the factory accessory slot? or what is it
how much
Can I get that for a Lincoln LS
Maybe.. i'm not sure.. Just google your car year make and model and search for door sill or illuminated door sill or led door sill.
What about the rear door sills??
Here is the installation instructions for the sedan: It is basically the same except your going to have 2 more pieces for the rear door.
www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/accord/2013/illuminateddoorsilltrim.pdf
Quick question: Does the real door sill plates also comes with LED or not ?? I got mine from Honda dealership and only front doors sill plates are LED not the rear one, so I am wondering if the installer forgot to install it in mine. Please confirm. Thanks
how do you change the silver part if you wanted to replace it for a new one?
You have to replace the entire piece, you can’t just replace the silver part.
damn.. but the entire piece _can_ be replaced right? somebody else on youtube gave the notion that the sill can't be removed.. (once put down) maybe because of the 3m tape? tell me that's not the case.
It can be removed. Just need a plastic pry tool and heat gun.
phew! (wipes sweat) lol, ok thank you, sir.
hi, do you have these for Honda civic 2007 FD1 ?
I don't make or sell these. These are original honda part from the dealership.
Thanx for your speedy response
I put in the connector but the door sill lights aren't working..any solutions?
The door sill is on a timer as well. Close the door and open again. If that doesn't work then check to see if the dome light is working.
+DIY: Car Modz but where does the other big piece to the harness go?
Ah, you must have not watched all the series.. here you go: ruclips.net/p/PLXHizgojDFBl0NUj3s4PK0x6-heblgRRN
+DIY: Car Modz yes I watched 1, 2 and 3, but I see your plug that goes under the steering wheel has 2 wires and mine only has one [the green wire my pink one is missing], I think mine might be detective, I will contact Honda.😥😣😣😣
+Jeniffer Davis defective not detective! 🙃🙃🙃
