There's a bit of prisoner's dilemma to that task. After all, on your turn, you can only either guess a name, or ask a question. If you ask a useful question, that means you've both skipped your chance to guess the name, and given all the other players a chance to benefit from the answer before you do. As such, the best personal strategy is to just always guess names, and if you do ask a question, make sure it isn't a useful one. However, like the prisoner's dilemma, if everyone adopts the best *personal* strategy, then no-one actually benefits. All the poor questions means no-one has any information to work from, resulting in this mess. In the end, Sophie was the only one playing the game in the intended (if personally sub-optimal) way, and only won because none of the other 4 contestants could think of a good Q name. And that is *so gratifying*.
@@AdrianWoodUKBut the prisoner's dilemma assumes the prisoner doesn't know the answer of the other prisoners. The main point is you both lie and get away, one lies and gets the full sentence if the other tells the truth, or both get half the sentence. What you mean is game theory I think.

By the 50th question i think they doubted it would ever end.
Taskmaster Thursday is my relaxed and floppy thing.
Such an amazing sophie duker impression
@ 26:56 was the most heartwarming instance of rage I've ever experienced...
Briget walking like someone who was competing in the Olympics for the weirdest walk and still winning the task is peak taskmaster
I've been watching the series 13 outtakes. it all makes perfect sense now
Everytime Greg stands I'm equally shocked and horrified
Wait a minute. This cut out my favorite throw to commercial in Taskmaster history! (If your partner's fallen asleep and is snoring next to you, why not have a bit of fun...and leave them?)
The shocked look in Bridgets eyes when Alex tells her ""139" @26:55 just dropped me dead from laughter RIP
Definitely one of the funniest episodes, this mix of people together is really great
This episode is one of the funniest of the show!! Between Chris' sausage game, Bridget walking or Ardal tea towel and funny remarks...
The banter between all the contestants is also the best in this series!
Some of the contestants completely break down during this show, but Bridget is breaking Alex's psyche. Revenge of the candidates
"You can't have a cult No. 1 hit. Sure you can. it's a No. 1 hit only among cults
Bridget is straight out of Monty Python's Ministry of Silly Walks.
"You saw from the prize task, I love power tools" Such an underrated line.
I nearly died at Judi Loves’ reaction to Alex’s impression of her.
Alex was sooo committed to eating that sausage at his own personal risk 😂
Nothing sums this bunch up better than that live task
alex and ardal dying of laughter during that hair washing was amazing
something about the cement mixer task really sums up this show: the silly but grounded ideas of the hairwasher and the drink mixer, building into the surreal duo of whatever bridget and sophie were doing, and just when you're recovering from that... bam! sausage mixer.
I laughed myself to tears at chris Ramsay's sausage party minigame
Bridget must be in the Ministry of Silly Walks 😅
If I had a nickel for every time a contestant made sausages spin for a task, I would have two, which is not much. But it's weird that it happened twice.
Bridget doing the steps like a wounded Giraffe and Sausage Mixer make this an all time great episode.
41:01 I can't believe how close Judy got with that one!
An awesome show! Having said that, Alex reflects my own feelings perfectly at 19:15.
