Informative video! As someone who's done well investing in real estate in the United States, my advice... Purchase as much as possible, real estate here in the US is always going to be a good long term investment. One word of caution, if you can't sleep at night, don't do it. However if the numbers work (rents cover your costs) then in the long run you will be fine, and eventually your profits will increase (due to rents going up or you gaining equity in the property). Always think long term!!!
Thank you so much, your videos are always so helpful. Just a question for the broker, I wasn’t quite clear but if I purchased a residential property for myself to live in, would my buy to let social housing guaranteed rent help in regards to getting a higher mortgage. Ie the rent on top of my current employment salary, would this allow me to purchase a higher value property?
Video focused on loans from bank lenders it sounds like. Are there loans from private money lenders/investors (OPM), or non-bank lenders (aka "hard money lenders')? Not sure what the RE financing laws are in the UK. What is the non-banking RE financing situation in the UK? In a US LLC, never personally "guarantee" a loan, the property itself acts as the collateral on the loan and therefore the financing investor's or syndicate's guarantee on recovery of their money. Very informative and enlightening.
Hi Doug, yes this is focused on UK specialist lending, not Private/OPM. We do work with private investors who invest in our business but haven't done a video on this as we keep our relationships with our investors private. Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
