Just had the same problem with my cayenne, followed the video and now it's all good again! Saved £ 360 doing it myself. Many thanks Rickard

I had the same issue in my 08 Cayenne Turbo. Key fault, chassis fault, brake proportioning, abs and every light on the cluster was lit. This fixed the problem immediately, thanks so much!

Thanks you (and the people that shared on rennist) for putting this video together and sharing. Experienced the issue a couple days ago and fixed it today. I soldered then put marine grade sealant and shrink wrap on the grey and black wire connections. All good now. Cheers!!!

My cayenne had the same symptoms and sure enough, pulled the carpet and there was the flood and corroded brown wire. Fixed the connection and as you say in the vid..."booooom". Thank you for your video. Saved a fortune! Just a heads up for people....obviously in the UK, all of this is on the passenger side.

Exactly the same problem. Same solution, but used my soldering iron on wires after cutting away green corroded copper.
    Well explained by Motolimey !!.
By the way if you are stuck, as I was, far from teh ranch with this issue (airport in my case), don't despair !!
You can unlock the gearshift manually... there is a purpose made allen key under the rubber 'layer' of the middle console.
Lift the little rubber mat, and you'll see it.
Use it to unscrew the 2 little hex heads at the base of the console armrest so that you can wiggle it free.
Disconnect teh wiring connectors for the diff lock/ suspension adjustment so that you can turn the panel 90 deg and lift out of the way.
Now look down at the front of teh selector (between selector and ashtray).
When you press the release button on the gearshift, you'll see a litttle plastic mechanism move slightly.
    This operates the locking pin.
Gently push it to the left, you can use the allen key, and then you will be able to select R-N-D and have your Cayenne towed or if it's feasible limp mode your way to safety.
Limp mode will limit your speed to about 40 mph (otherwise overheating motor) so really only use it to get out of a tricky situation.
Obviously, if you select "P" again, you have to manually override it again.
BTW, you will have limited instrumentation (no speedo) so be careful. I used my phone's GPS speed to gauge my trip.
All the credit for what I describe, is thanks to the very experienced and hands-on guys at Pelican Parts : www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche-Cayenne/94-TRANS-Gearshift_Lock_Override/94-TRANS-Gearshift_Lock_Override.htm
I just googled their article while stuck in an airport car park. :)

I am just getting an ABS failure light at the moment which also causes PSM to fail, just checked under my carpet and it is dry.
I can confirm all this wiring is on the passenger side on a right hand drive vehicle, so regardless of which version your cables are on the left :)
I need to get that bolt to be able to unscrew and tilt back the seat because even though its dry I am wondering if I have cable damage, if not then hopefully its just a faulty ABS speed sensor as they are not too pricey and look easy to swap, hard part will be figuring out which one lol
I wish I could be as chill about it as you, as soon as I saw the fault I started panicing about what parts broke that is going to bankrupt me haha

Zekoo, Did you figure this out? I have exact same symptoms on an 08 Cayenne (changing the ABS sensor didn't help)
