I just built a new PC... your vids have been very helpful - and kind of soothing. It's like the Old Grey Whistlet Test of PC instructionals. Love it. When I watch Jayz Two Cents I just feel like I'm getting told off all the time. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.
I love your videos and your narration, VOICE is very DEEP. I just made a PC with NZXT Core RGB fans, just what I needed here. That one exhaust fan on back, always gave me a hard time.
I have 13 NZXT F120 Duo Fans (10 standalone and 3 from the NZXT AIO) on my NZXT H9 Elite. It really was a pain in the head figuring the logic and how to connect everything.
You have given me an idea. The rgb fans that came with the case were pre wired with a splitter that ended in a 5v rgb head. When in cam all 3 fans are as one and all change together. So now il try putting 2 of them in the nzxt ports and see if the 3 fans then show up separately
Did this work out for you? I was also wondering why he didn't just daisy chain them. They come pre-wired this way, who sets their fans to be different individual colors lol
I already have 3 rgb fans that came with my h9 elite case and i want too add 3 more. Am i going to need another controller? And get a usb hub so i can fit it all? My mobo only has 2 usb plug ins . Need help so bad with this
Sorry for the silly question, I'm just currently at the stage of selecting components for a further PC build. So, is one "NZXT RGB and Fan Controller" and one "RGB Controller" that comes with 3 F120 RGB Core Triple Pack fans enough for me? I'm just confused by the information about NZXT RGB and Fan Controller, which says: "Control up to nine 3-pin DC or 4-pin PWM fans, allowing Zero RPM mode to optimize noise levels." All the fans I plan to buy have a 4-pin power. I'm planning to build a pc with NZXT H6 Flow case (non-RGB) and Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ICE motherboard. Overall, I plan to buy 2 140 mm RGB fans and 4 120 mm RGB fans, as well as NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 360 AIO. Will all the necessary connectors (including USB 2.0) be enough to connect and control fan speed and lighting? Thank you very much for your help!
Can these fans not just be daisy chained? I think the NZXT website states that there is a max 40 LEDS per channel. The Duo fans have 20 LEDS, so could two be daisy chained before connecting into the controller, or am I missing something? So if I was one RGB connector short on the controller (I.e. 7 fans as opposed to the 6 max limit), can I not just daisy chain two of them?
Awesome video thank you! Quick question, if that controller has the capacity for 9 fans but 6 rgb plugs. What do I do with the remaining 3 rgb for the other 3 fans? Do I use one of those rgb controllers with 3 slots as well?
That's a lot of cables, and my cable management is terrible. 😅 That's why I prefer lian li sl120v2, daisy chain up to 6 fans, so less cables behind to manage. 😂
I just learned that the NZXT Fan controller allows for 40 RGB fans per channel through their software. Do you see the same? NZXT CAM > Lighting > ''About the RGB & Fan Controller''.
Hey! awesome video! But i have a question and didnt understand some things (srry english is not my first language) :(, if you dont mind! So, I plan on buying a non-NZXT motherboard and want to have rgb NZXT fans and liquid cooler. So, I am going to have: Kraken 360 liquid cooler (3 fans) + I pack which came with the case (3 pack NZXT rgb core fans) and plan on buying ANOTHER 3 pack (2 above + 1 on the side). All these 3 packs come with a RGB hub. So, in order for everthing to work, I need to: 1. Have each 3 packs connected to a RGB hub (so i have 3 rgb hubs) 2. Connect each 3 fans to a fan splitters 3. In the controller: put the 3 splitters in the 3 slots (9 fans total) and use 3 slots of the rgb (the 3 hubs) 4. Have a SATA and USB connect to the non-NZXT motherboard Thank you! Would really appreciate your help!
@@TheProvokedPrawn Same here, I am putting together a H9 Flow dual chamber build. This vid let me know I was missing a couple components and how to connect them. Super helpful!

Hello i have the Xigmatek Aquarius Plus Gaming Midi Tower with 7 fans pre-installed. They are connected to a controller and im wondering if i can connect the controller into my motherboard and use them via software. Opening the back case everytime i want to switch the colours is just so annoying. If so how you do it? Thank you in advance.
So if I am planning on having 10 f120 fans, 3 that come with h9 elite , I would need to buy an extra fan controller and also a USB hub if I decide not to use the Nzxt motherboard, is that correct?
I have 9 nzxt duo fans on my elite, 7 120 and 2 140.. my problem is the 3 new ones in the bottom is newly installed and after sometimes the rgb turns out of sync with the 6 fans that I first installed, how to solve this problem?
I just put together an nzxt build on an Asus motherboard! Super slick, buti cant control my two 140mm fans RGB, even though they're plugged into the controller. Is there a work around for this, or do I have to just go through my mb rgb settings? Thanks!
I didn't have a controller with my first build, using the mobo. Used the argb sockets but think I might have fried two of them because they don't light up. Ive ordered a controller (didn't know I needed one) so hoping that saves me.
Awesome video but I have one quick question. I want to use six NZXT RGB DUO Fans with the RGB Fan Hub controller with the Y cable like you did in your video but do you know how this works with the Cam Software ? My theory is that I can control those 3 Fans that are connected with the Y cable all at once but not seperate. So if I make Fan1 in Cam blue (3 Fans in Fan slot 1 with Y cable) goes also blue ? Is my theory correct ?
@@TheProvokedPrawn at 2:07 you plug 1 fan but does they come with a splitter so i can just plug all 3 fans into one single SYS_fan on my motherboard? thanks :D
