Thank goodness somebody who finally knows what they're talking about. I called Apple support and they kept telling me to hold down both buttons which just kept resetting it. Then they had me uninstall and then reinstall iTunes. It never worked and in the end the support person just said that I would have to try a different computer. A simple fix like letting go of the power button whenever the screen goes black is all it needed thank you so much!

I had an iPhone 4s that was locked for 65 million minutes. I was able to unlock it and reset it all back to original with this video help. I did it on the M3 Macbook Pro using MacOS Sonoma 14.3. It worked without an issue. iTunes doesn't exist for Sonoma so it used the Finder app to perform the iOS download and installation after doing the home and power button combination on the iPhone. I got my iPod when I was in the first grade it stoped turning on and so in the third grade my mom surprised me with a new one I was so exited I also lost it that some year. In the fourth grade I found it again. I was like “OMG OMG OMG OMG” so I tried a bunch of dumb passwords that I would have used in the third grade and I got it disabled. I lost it again. You are the most helpful person in seen with this type of video. This is my situation. I forgot my password and it got disabled maybe around 6 times. It says "the iPhone is disabled for 23 mins". But when I wait that amount of time, the passcode doesn't appear when I press try home button. I remember my password already but I just want tr passcode to appear again. This is one way that actually works, Just remember that the ITunes is up to date, also it will only recognize the device when its on restoring mode, after 2 days of trying different ways, this fianlly worked.
