Eddie broke the indoor record for a boxing fight for Canelo v Billy Joe Saunders in Dallas and even Canelo himself said Eddie is the best promoter by a long margin. The fact everyone says DAZN is dead is hilarious too as its patently not true, they are doing well and their numbers are growing, for me its the best value for boxing anywhere bar none! Anyway, Leonard is clearly has an inferiority complex and feels threatened by Hearn as he doesn't shut the f**k up about him in every interview.

i thought ellerbe was just playing the game when he spoke of the $1b but here is he speaking like it is actually true.
$1b was an 8 yr deal, $125m a year for 16 cards a year. They clearly restructured that deal after the 2 yr period, covid happened, the market changed and matchroom no longer do 16 cards a year in the US. they have a new global deal though and eddie's fully comitted so i doubt the relationship with dazn is cold where they're not paying him.
Furthermore, in 2019 eddie even said he hadnt spent the majority of the money dazn had paid him so far..and then covid happened. not spending doesnt mean you're broke, it means you're clever about when you choose to flex your muscles.
pbc went from a $900m+ investment fund seed money to valued at $400m only 5 years later..and now it's worse off than that. everything he's hating eddie for, is what al haymon has already done. al may not be so openly vocal but pbc was supposed to be 'the ufc of boxing', which is exactly what eddie says he wants matchroom to become.

Eddie has done wonders for boxing. Look at uk boxing nowadays, all the boxers from US has connections in the UK, because its massive. So I repeat. Eddie has surpassed all the American promoters & every other promoter tbh.
Calling Eddie dumb is one thing but if everything Leonard was saying was true would all the heads of dazn and all the investors would not pick him to head their US expansion.
