I use a gas stove! :) I really had to play around with the temperature and baking time at first but once you get it down, just use the same temp and time for all macaron recipes.

Hi Debra! I recommend placing the filled cookies into the fridge for a few days. It will make the biggest difference! Once they sit, they will absorb moisture from the frosting, making the cookies the perfect texture :)

Hi! Yes, you can absolutely do that! Just let the shells cool completely on a wire rack, then place them into an airtight container. They can stand for days at room temperature. Hope you enjoy the cake!! :)

Are you washing your mixing bowl thoroughly? The biggest thing that will keep egg whites flat is oil or grease. Any little amount will ruin the egg whites. I recommend washing the mixing bowl with vinegar and the rinse with water. The sugar can be added immediately and you don't need an expensive mixer; a regular mixer will just take a few minutes longer.
@@TatyanasEverydayFood thank you for responding! I had washed the bowl and wiped it with white vinegar. The eggs eventually whipped (after almost an hour) and I got the macarons to work! I'm aging three more egg whites to try again tonight and I wiped all bowls with lemon juice before I started. Hopefully it'll be easier this time! Thank you so much for your videos!
@@TatyanasEverydayFood I may have figured it out: I have a Hamilton Beach stand mixer with a whisk attachment. I discovered that the whisk attachment does not reach the bottom of the glass bowl and doesn't actually touch the eggs. The glass bowl is too wide. I fixed this by holding the bowl at an angle to allow the whisk to touch the eggs. Hopefully this helps someone else!
I've wondered that, too and I've tried it. I've had no luck without a rest period. Allowing them to rest creates a thin film on the outside, which give it that signature smooth shell.
Hi! Since grams and cups do not convert directly, you'll need to convert each ingredient. 50g of granulate sugar is 1/4 cup 100g of almond flour is 1 cup 125g powdered sugar for 1 cup. However, macarons are the one cookie for which I recommend using a kitchen scale. The amounts need to be very precise.
So sorry to hear that! Do you live a high humidity area? These cookies are extremely sensitive to moisture. Try placing the trays next to a fan set on the lowest setting and see if that helps! :)

You can add lemon zest instead of using lemon flavor. I recommend using a high quality lemon extract. I get mine from the brand Lorann Oils on Amazon. The best tasting extracts.
