@@zane631 actually they are. You have to remember that UCF has Johnny Dawkins as the head coach....who played for coach K and was an assistant coach for many years too with Duke. And VT plays Duke often enough and used UCFs gameplan...

@Bruce Leroy - his replacement Alex O'Connell was a non-factor with 4 pts on 2 layups and went 0-4 from behind the arc... at least Cam plays much better defense and would've likely helped more than Alex.
This VTech team this year was tough and solid all year. You got to give it to them much respect. Wow! CONGRATULATIONS on a great season.

These Duke games sure know how to stress me out. Duke played hard even with Cam Reddish being out so suddenly. Tre Jones was sensational and lights out and was knocking down 3's. Hope Cam comes back against MSU because Duke will need him down the stretch because Cam is a big time player.

@@shootermtd25 - I'm not saying that it would've been a blowout but forget his up and down offense--duke would have traded O'Connell's non-existent defense with his... that should've been good for a few extra stops. As for the offense, O'Connell was gifted two layups, otherwise, he was 0-4 with 2 TO's so it's not like Cam, even in a down game was going to do worse.

I've been following ZW for a while now, since his soph year in HS. He was 3 time state champ, so was I, Group 2 NJ 04,05,06. I watch every game. I come from a very close family, their are 9 grandchildren, my uncle went to VT. My cousin is a sophomore on the Crew team there right now. I still was routing for Duke (I didn't tell that to my grandma, uncle or cousin) this Duke team is special. It doesn't happen like this very often, last I remember was Michigan fab 5. My brother graduated from Michigan state in 2014. I will be watching every dribble, every shot, every block and dunk. I don't have any nails left after last night. Best of luck to Zion and the entire Duke team. I will be routing for you guys, even if I don't tell my brother!

Surprised the refs missed the VA Tech player stepping out of bounds with a few seconds left. Imagine if that were a Dookey? The conspiracy theories would be huge. Instead, it's barely even spoken about. The final plays shouldn't have even happened. On a side note, Duke's gotta start hitting free throws late in games. Too many misses.

I’m from 90’s basketball era and this is the best college basketball year in a very long time. Saw a lot of potential from freshmen recruits last season when they were in high school. The NBA is getting ready to be good again in the next 5 years.
One of the best games of the tournament. So many lead changes. Got to give it up to VT, they played their guts out. Duke escapes another close one, though I think they would have pulled way ahead in overtime due to foul trouble for VT. Go Duke!!!!

Coach k told Kobe Bryant during the team USA practice that he needs to work in his open 3 point shots cause with LeBron, Durant, and etc on the floor he's gonna get A lot of them. He basically applied the same technique with Jones having RJ and Zion out there. They both get doubled and he's gonna be wide open. Guarantee next game they won't leave him open as much cause he's proven himself as a threat.
