Wow, not a fan of either team, but i must tell you, it was the best NCAA tourney game I have seen in 20 years!!! This one should have been reserved for the championship game. 3's were falling out of the sky and into both hoops like snow falling in the Alps. What a game, what a comeback, what a good crowd and set of fans for both teams in the KFC Yum! Center. This will go down as one of the all time great games not soon to be forgotten. Congrats to both teams for the energy, fortitude, and gumption on display March 28, 2019, all I can say is WOW.
SINCE PURDUE BEAT VILLANOVA, I think that gave them major confidence. This team has been playing with great chemistry. Whether its Edwards, Cline, Eifert etc these guy all play with great perseverance... Admiral Schofield is a scary dude to go up against, but Purdue never backed down. I love how every game I've watched them play, when they dominate they dominate playing their game. I think it slips up a lot of teams because they run smart plays, work great off screens, back door cuts are tight, very well coached and disciplined. Also you know they're a great team overall, when at any point multiple players can light it up just like Edwards did last week and Cline tonight. DEBATE ME if you don't see Scottie Reynolds in Carson Edwards game, everything down to the dribbling and shooting.... I hope Purdue can keep it rollin!!!!
Was at this game and it hurts just as bad rewatching it now. Had the experience, talent and depth to win it all but what a game, one of the best shooting performances by cline I’ve ever seen

Are yall serious. The ball clearly went out off Purdue leg @ 12:07 with 3 seconds left. TV shows focusing on the 3 point foul but in all actuallity the ref reviewed the out of bounds play for 3 whole mins and was told through headset, forget the replay, its Purdue's ball. (RUclips don't even got the replays) Surprisingly not even 1 commentator questioned the refs official ruling. Also I felt akward dismissive energy coming from the commentators durring and after the review. As if someone just finished instructing them NCAA BASKETBALL FIXING PROTOCOLS .The first angle was better than the second and they showed the first one twice. It clearly showed the ball went off his leg from Purdue. The guard knew it himself. Point is ... Tennessee was cheated because it shouldve been their ball ... up by 2 ... with 2 seconds left .
Oh the memories of last years tournament. As an Iowa fan, it was awesome watching Purdue beat Tennessee. This was an incredibly entertaining game tho, probably game of the year.

The best game I have ever seen and I will ever see. I was honored and gifted to see my Purdue team live for the 3rd time this year, and it was worth it. Incredible game by Edwards and obviously captain clutch himself, Cline. Cline proved once again that he is our best shooter. So proud of our team and I have a lot of respect for Tennessee, great team. But I’m just happy that Purdue got the dub and now moving into the Elite 8!! Boiler Up!!🚂🔥
The foul call at the end of the game, that is the subject of some controversy, did indeed occur as I have seen the video footage a couple dozen times. The contact occurred at the hip, and you have to watch carefully to see it. The arm made no contact of significance as far as I can tell. But watch the Purdue player's hip move as the Tennessee player's hip makes the contact.
Because Edwards kicked his leg out! Not even close to a normal shot go watch all his other shots he never kicks his leg out untill that final shot which he wasn't even trying to make it all he was worried about was kicking out to get the most B's foul I've ever seen because it wasn't going to make that shot
You can't see it on this video, but on the broadcast replay the Edwards shot that was blocked by Grant Williams clearly went out of bounds off Edwards' foot. Also, on the Edwards shot that resulted in the three foul shots with 1.7 seconds left, it really looked like both of his heels were out of bounds just before he shot the three.
This is WAYYY to funny!!! After every made shot for Purdue in the 1st half, the girl in the Tennessee suspenders totally freaks out and rages. Why does this represent Tennessee fans so well...😂

wowww...i have never heard of cline but i know him now...dude is a beast he literally won this game for them...If he does not hit all those 3 in the regular period there is no elite 8 for purdue...
come on, brother Sal. you can't be serious.... Have you ever driven into the lane at full speed while dribbling a basketball against very tall, future NBA players? Didn't think so... so ill tell you what it's like/...read this really slowly... after you break down your defender on the perimeter, a window will appear. It might be left of the defender or right. You wont know until the split second it appears. But it will appear if you're able to shake free and make your defender a tiny tiny bit off balance. That's all it takes for a fast PG to get into the lane. Aggressive PG's like Edwards will then continue to the basket where, because only seconds earlier while trying to get his defender off balance, tall defenders are NOT playing up. They're closer to the basket...making it very difficult for a pG to finish. Now, Edwards is similar to other great, aggressive, semi-undersized guards such as Rose, Westbrook (kinda undersized...but not a Jamal Crawford-type PG), Iverson, Walker (Kemba) who ALL GET THEIR SHOT BLOCKED REGULARLY. Because the post defenders are in a deeper position, they can make that block. Go back in this video to about the 8:25 mark. you'll see Edwards able to slice through the same tall defenders with the same exact speed and aggression as some of the blocks he incurred, but because the defenders were in a fluid defensive set, he was able to kinda easily finish (easy for me to say, right?). It looked like a great finish but any decent NBA PG finishes that play, too. I mean look at how those defenders are outside the dotted circle on this play... simply physics. The blocks they made happened while in a defensive set. When Edwards or any other fast PG gets that close to th rim in heavy, tall traffic, they know they have a good chance at getting their shot blocked, they could be hoping to get a foul called. My first coach always taught us to drive the ball to the rim as often as possible. You'll get calls and shake up the defense each and every time. anyway... enough about me. Go Boilers... and Go Edwards...right to the rim and then right the the Chicago Bulls, please... lol
Cline did it. Probably the game of this career when his team needed him. Great game coming up Saturday.
