I had to rewind it, 3800 V6! These engines DO NOT get enough attention, they are a fantastic design, and it's rather amazing a LS Alum 5.3 V8 wasn't used.
+ramairgto72 Yeah went along time with that combo because it worked so well...although the rig now houses an LS. Hard to compete without the open track power
those 3.8 motors do serious work, I've got 2 or 3 friends that run them and they ain't no joke. Chris's buggy is mean with that motor as well I rode in it a couple years ago.

TheFabForums.com I have never heard of king of the hammer, but these type of dune buggy's are a every day thing here,most of them are street legal, I saw 5 of them ripping down the road here when I was out riding my bike, I live 30 miles west of tucson out in the country.

How did you generate the funds to get into ultra 4. I’m a blue collar guy that struggles to keep my tj somewhat competitive. Did you start getting sponsors quickly, family had money, get an awesome job? I’m just curious because it’s my dream to race ultra 4 but I’m 34, make decent money to get by but those cars cost a fortune to build and maintain

Gotcha...this thing is closer to a rock crawler then a dune buggy, but I am sure there are a ton of them out that way also.

How did you put that chassis together? I'm in charge of the chassis manufacture for my club, and we use a rotisserie off a backbone.
