I like the demonstrated tools. I'm not that into tools, but I do need to use some. This could be helpful. Eventually I will learn about a tool I never knew I needed.
What do you recommend is the best value electric lawn mower and whippersnipper for personal use and helping out neighbours is small residential areas? Thanks 😊
Probably a dumb question but is it okay that the moving blade is hitting the concrete as frequent as it did in the video? Just got mine today and don’t wanna damage the blade
I seen this for the first time in Bunnings yesterday... I have the 36v stock edger... that’s nearly dead after7 years... but I can’t justify 500bucks for this when I can get a Atom Petrol edger cheaper than that.
Where I think Ryobi missed out is not making their 36 Volt tools, 18V x 2. I have heavily invested in their 18V drills and other tools. I love that Ryobi has come up with a 36 V but I don't want to have a separate battery and charger ecosystem just to come in on it. I've currently got their 18V mower - to go with the battery and charger ecosystem that I'm already invested in - but it's just not "strong enough" for wet grass, so I'm looking around at my next options. (Do I go into the Ryobi 36V gear, or do I replace all the tools I have with a different (heavier duty) brand's tools (work has changed from office based to a workshop/factory set up, so it's a serious contender) and buy their 36V (18V x 2) range of garden equipment.....
@@turfandtools for 30 seconds, they sold an 18v x 2 lawn mower but, then they went into the 36v battery range. I sincerely believe it's a missed opportunity.
This is a problem across the board with battery tools. I have to agree that they could at least make the option of 2 16v or a single 32v. I would guess the just went bigger battery for bigger tools because the bigger equipment just toasted smaller batteries way too fast causing many replacements thereby defeating the ecological benefit of electric over fossil fuels.
@@marklar7551 Actually, Makita offer a range of their tools in 2x 18V batteries to achieve a 36V range. Grinders, saws, chainsaws (which is why I wish I could afford to change), vacuums, self-propelled mowers (in fact they have a 2x 2x 18v (36V) self propelled mower, and it has a switch to change from one pair of batteries to another for extended run time._) Now they also have the 40V system with it's seperate charger and battery platform, but I don't see them culling their 36V range anytime soon. It's far too popular. Less popular and even more high end, however, is DeWalt's FlexVolt range of tools, chargers and batteries. There must be something in the tool and battery that communicates, forcing it to use one voltage (54V) or another (18V). Same batteries on different tools. Just so much better.
This is my issue also. 18v mower is not strong enough and 18v whipper snipper is a waste of time. The stupid mower has actually stopped working on me too now. I’ve owned for 1.5years. I’m going back to petrol.
Doesn't seem to be able to set the blade on an angle for a bevel cut... that is where the real magic happens... perhaps you can fake it with the adjustable outside wheel a bit... My gold standard dedicated edger is still the Kawasaki... I used to do miles of edges at a time with that and always got the best result in a great time and with low operator stress and fatigue... and after a few passes, the edges get even easier to do... plus you can do different types of edges, not just concrete / paver paths... bases of retailing walls, paling fences, sleepers or treated pine logs used as garden beds, curved edges etc...
Maintaining councils land using your own time and money, what a stupidity, we pay huge rates, but councils do nothing than getting their six figures salary.
Happy to hear any view points on any of the gear in these videos. I just make a video of what I see and hopefully it starts a discussion 🙌
Fast becoming my favourite Channel if not already, thanks Tim!
Thank you!
Another to add to my wish list to make my neighbours jealous of my lawns 😊
On major sale for $120 at home depot now. with 40v battery
That was more impressive then I was expecting. Looks like a kids toy but did a great job
Tim, it's bloody amazing what they are coming up with, next thing 6ou will be sitting in your bar driving robot lawn gear.
Love Mine. Bought mine back to Auckland from Bunnings Sydney this week Gone. Awesome Tool.
Did you ever do the full review? I couldn’t see it amount your videos

Great Video Tim, Keep up the good work
Liked the way it cut
It went better than i thought it would. A bit pricey, but if you had lots to do it might work out. Thanks 🤗
Thanks for checking it out
As tales said earlier.
The Victor blade edger is the BOMB.
No backwards forwards and GREAT result!
D
Ohh, I so need this. !!!
It does a great job.
im keen to see you compare these with some classic lawn equipment... for fun

What’s your thought on ego mowers?
Is it just me or did having the front wheel offset make it seem kind of wobbly? Any reason why it wouldn't be in the middle for better balance?
Does it throw the debris very far? My Ryobi stick trimmer can throw a pebble through a window pretty good.
It didn't seem to
I'll stick with my 2 stroke Victa. That thing makes the same sound as my hair clippers

My blade stopped spinning. Anyone know a RUclips repair or troubleshooting g video?

Yeah battery is great but it introduces other issues like being stuck in a particular ecosystem

Is that the TifTuf you're cutting with it?
No that was some buffalo
I have one and use for my jobs im 15 :)
Anyone else have issues with it not being able to start?? Mine is brand new and i've tried 2 fully charged batteries, but i cant get it to start.
Take it back for sure
Nice but costly!😮
Yep It’s a barrier for sure
