No-one calls them Evil Corp, Elliott just hears it that way whenever someone mentions them.

Loved your Hannibal journey and I'm strapped in again for Mr Robot. Both of these shows do not disappoint.

It's on Amazon now, but it was originally USA Network when a subsidiary of NBC-Universal, itself a subsidiary of Comcast, which is frequently surveyed as one of the most hated companies in the USA.
HAHAHA Comcast AINT hated in small town and rural areas. Comcast is the gold standard you can get like 30Mbs for like under $60 USD a month... I get 15 Mbs for $100 USD a month....

oh man this show wrecked me, i got into this right off the back of hannibal in 2015 as one finished and the other began so its fun to see someone else have the exact same journey!
Regarding E corp / Evil Corp, Elliot says somewhere in the episode that he has reprogrammed himself to always hear/see EVIL in place of E, so we're hearing everyone say that because we're seeing from his perspective - also man i forgot how edgelordy this is at the beginning, no spoilers but while it never fully calms down it does develop a little more depth haha - hope you enjoy the show man
Mr. Robot is in the running for best show I ever watched. Watched it 3 times now, and it gets better each watch. It's actually insane, how much is going on with this masterpiece. It reminds me of Twin Peaks in that it keeps you guessing, and dwells on the mystery. So you have just zoom out and sort of let it flow, like a dream.

I think they do such a great job setting up who Elliot is across the Ron's Coffee and the 'fuck society' scenes.
The cinematography, acting and music on this show is second to none, you've got a brilliant journey ahead of you!

This show's main theme (or at least the main theme I like the most) is not the one that is first apparent in these very first episodes
And stylistically it's great, mainly because almost all episodes are directed by Sam Esmail, the creator of the show, while most other shows have different directors in different episodes
As others in the comments have said, it's just him _imagining_ everyone says "Evil Corp" while they're actually saying "E Corp"
It's no Hackers, but from what I remember this was considered one of the most technically accurate depictions of hacking. There's a bunch of social engineering and the command line stuff is correct

The tilted E logo is somewhat similar to Enron and there are some parallels.

4:17 -- that's the whole theme. When you said "I didn't think it was about money" -- you forget. I'm an American, I get to say this; whether we admit it or not (and usually we don't): it's *always about money*, one way or another. And along with hacking, mental health, and other fun stuff (it is an enjoyable show; I'm looking forward to, uh, watching you watch it. Why does that sound creepy?) -- that's what the show is about. The "invisible hand" of capitalism controlling us all, making us do horrible things to each other, and **not even questioning it** because, well, it's capitalism (essentially: America's unofficial state religion).
Strap in; the ride is going to get bumpy.

I dont and wont like Angela but she is not professional.... I mean your the cyber company that cost E-Corp company like 100 million dollars.. I wouldn't want to hear Well Technically, Yeah Sunday... Either yeah we lost 100 Million Dollars because your company failed to do it's job. 100 Million dollars we lost in a few hours because of you... That could run your company for 500 years.
