I think he is asking about the rim hit and then the stick to stick sound, everything almost at the same time (im not a drummer so i have no idea how to explain that lol) sound he does after the gravity blasts, not sure tho
When u hit rim the an the drum head simultaneously its called a Rim shot a gravity blast is what he is doing on the floor Tom with his right hand where the sticks like it is going crazy fast because it is lol
Brother ...im 62...ive been playing drums almost daily since im 9 years old. I consider myself a really good drummer. This man is on another level. But its way more than his technical abilities. His musicality to not only add his skills to the cover, but he improves the overall sound and rhythm. He appeared out of nowhere during the covid lockdowns. His cover of Michael Jackson's Thriller is amazing. He does a cover of a song " The Bongo Song ". The original band has 2 drummers. He plays both parts seamlessly. The Bongo Song...The impossible cover. He doesnt come close to playing at the peak of his headroom. Great Reaction. Thanks my friend.
I can play the drums, I am NOT a drummer, but I know just enough to understand how technically difficult this is. His limb independence is unreal, and he is so clean, precise and consistent.....He's becoming everyone's favourite drummer's, favourite drummer :) His Linkin Park - Numb cover is unreal as well.
Thou i Admire the one handed videos, 1 foot videos etc.....That Gravity blast /rim shoot groove is one of the most tasty thing I ever heard on drums...
I am just a hobby drummer here in my home but this is out of the world advanced. He is using techniques that he has invented on his own. And the consistency of his hits are amazing they sound exactly the same every time. I have seen him doing covers of the fastest metal song where he is playing with just one arm and he does it without effort. He is a drum genius and one of the best for sure. I have seen other famous drummers doing reactions to his stuff and they are blown away of what he can do. Great choice and a awesome reaction as usual! Love from Sweden! 💙💛💙
One of the best drummers in the world. Metal drummers react to him and say it makes them want to QUIT playing drums. You really need to do a deep dive with him, and especially his one handed playing of some of the most difficult songs to play with two hands. He has a compilation of his one handed playing, that is the one you need to react too. He is simply amazing for many reasons.
This guy motivated me to start learning drums at 55! His Knights of Cydonia cover is awesome too, knowledge or not his footwork is incredible, that's where 8hrs a day practice gets you....
The main thing all but the most observant of drummers mention is how consistent his drum sound is, despite different stick movements the sound is the same volume and intensity.
Yes 100% find another El Estepario Sibariano video that you like. This man is a champion unlike any other. Go for him during the pandemic, when all of us did not know if we would live or die. El Estepario Sibariano was coverong Chris Coleman's Gaia.
This is why he is creating the next step in the evolution of drumming. To everyone, just his approach and creativity is awesome just to watch. For drummers, his skill and talent is among the best.
Like you I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to percussion/drumming, but from what I've seen out there, he's almost consensus among professionals and instructors, THE BEST!
@ 4:26 what you miss is his change where he flips his right hand stick off the snare into the air, passes his left hand stick to his right hand now he has two in his left hand and he grabs a stick from his waist for his left hand so now he's playing with 3 sticks. Two in the right hand.
Hello again from Madeira island. Dude, your hiting every nail right on the head. After following Embrace the Suck 21, and after finding out your have been reacting to Dimash, now your reacting to Estepario Siberiano. I shit you not, yesterday i was gonna sugest you reacted to this exact video!! Honest to God! Keep up the good work!! Luv ya (not in a gay way) 🤘👍
Madeira my favorite place, that I‘ve ever been to. The whole island smells so nice. 🥰 Agreed! Especially on the Dimash-reactions! Have you seen his reactions to Electric Callboy? I almost died laughing. 😂 Greetings from Germany 😊
I'm a drummer and I read him as the greatest drummer I've ever seen... Not just me watch other reaction videos by drum coaches and professional drummers from major bands... They all tend to agree. Follow the wormhole man, it's worth it
I've watched literally dozens of reactions to this, very many by experienced drummers who do point out all the techniques. Those are great, for sure. We learn a lot. But your reaction is definitely an instant favorite among them. It was so entertaining to see someone (an audiophile, I suspect?) just enjoy the song because it sounds amazing! This was a fantastic reaction! Thanks! 🤘😎🤘
I bet this will start to be your comfort zone, dude is amazing. He has so much talent and so much quality content. He even did a spot on toxicity cover on a damn hand pan
You don't have to be a musician to notice the excellence in his covers. You just experienced one of his many masterpieces. He is very inovative, incredibly skilled and talented drummer. By my opinion, he is the best, some people would argue about that, but everybody will admit that he's special and unique. He's always pushing his limits and limits of drumming as well. It is always a pleasure to check new reactors who've been Groovefathered like the rest 3 million of us. Hope you'll check more of his covers and jump into this rabbit hole with us. Anyway, welcome to the club!
Yes, what he’s doing is difficult. His creativity and precision is crazy town. One of the biggest legends in drumming, Dennis Chambers, said Estepario is the best drummer today. He’s gotten many famous musicians say what a beast he is including Tommy Lee, Jack Black, Slipknot bassist, Mike Shindoa (Linkin Park), etc. Check out his One-Handed Drumming Compilation Volume 1 🤯
there are ALOT of people, professional musicians and amateurs alike who believe he is the best drummer alive right now. most arent willing to give the top spot up to a few of the more famous dead drummers... but he really is changing how a drumset is being played, right now. or he is trying to... not sure yet how many people will be able to reliably reproduce his ultra consistent gravity blasts/rim shots/bass pedal work. he really is on a whole new level than anyone before, ever, in those 3 areas. primarily used in metal drumming. he is from spain so those influences also come through.
El Estepario has 3 million subscribers..... no matter how "technically" great he might be he's connecting with people in a unique way. His physical performance is mesmerizing and he never dominates the music other than in a visual way. Simply remarkable.
I love El Estepario. He is no ordinary drummer… the techniques he uses are insane and his strikes are always so tight. He puts it all down to practise. My other favourites are covers of Thriller and Everybody Wants to Rule the World. He unites drummers and those who have no idea about drumming. Drummers are blown away by his skill and technique, non-drummers just love how he sounds. He’s unbelievable, please react to more!!!
OMG. I‘ve seen his name, but didn’t know he is a drummer. He‘s so fast and precise. I’m in love with his technique. 🥰❤❤❤ Now I have to show this to my sons drum-teacher 🤓 Thanks for showing this to us. ❤
gravity blasts, rimshots and ghost notes, extremely hard to perfect and blend imo. Worth checking out all his content, best drummer on the platform! If you want some recommendations I would say: his one handed videos, bongo song, eminem godzilla. You can't really pick a bad cover however :D Definitely a rabbit hole to explore haha.
For those who didn't know him, El Estepario Siberiano is known for his one-handed drum covers and 'normal' drum covers where he applies drum techniques that are generally only used in the heavier subgenres of metal. I'm not a drummer myself, but I understand the chops it takes to get as good as he is. Believe me when I say that two hours of practice every day doesn't cut it. This man is incredibly skilled on the drums, but also has a great sense of non-verbal humor, which we get to see as he's doing his thing. He's just a wildly incredible entertainer who worked hard to get where he is now...
I discovered EES back in March 2020 when he “only had” 25k followers on Instagram and a few thousand spread across other social media. He was known as the guy that overplayed songs and would put out a video every single day. He eventually just started getting bigger and bigger because his playing is incredible and he has a personality to match. Fast forward to this video: I’ve been playing drums for almost 40 years and this is the greatest feat of limb independence I’ve ever seen. Traditionally, to play double bass, you either need 2 bass drums or a double bass pedal (2 pedals that operate 2 beaters on 1 bass drum). This pedal has the levers he mentioned: one keeps a single beater going on the downward motion like a traditional pedal. The other lever turns his upward motion into operating the other beater. He did this because he’s also using his hi hat stand pedal.
That song was beaten to life, and there is a lot of training, practice and ideas that increase his talent! The original drumming to this song from now on doesn't do this song justice anymore, not after this amazing cover! His cover enriches that song in a new and fresh way, and that's why I will miss his drumming to that song in the future every time I hear it in its original form! He has a fine gifted empathic ability to introduce new life into songs through his ideas! Lots of practice in his drumming, many impressive fantastic results for us all to enjoy!
You should definitely watch his One Handed Drumming Vol.1 And you also might want to check out his Reaching 1 mln. Subscribers Celebration video where he speaks about life changing moments that made him decide to become a drummer, about his dedication and all the hard work and practice he had to put into it to make everything possible.
Tons of his stuff on IG, I thought I'd recommended him on there, no idea what he's doing but, seen him do stuff one handed, having a drink, blindfolded, all I know is, it sounds great and his co-ordination is unreal, I think I might actually hate him, too much talent for one person
Hey! Welcome to the EES rabbit hole. Good to see you here. Looking forward to more. Made this comment a third of the way before hearing you say"rabbit hole" many times over. 😊
He’s one of the best right now. But his showmanship really puts him above rest. Music is supposed to also be entertaining, and he really leans in to that. Bonus points for sure
He's either AI, or he's got a quad core brain. He literally has complete independent control of what his limbs are playing, even when off time from each other.
Ever do the tap your head rub your belly thing as a kid and it was hard because doing two different things i with your arms is hard. Try all 4 limbs in unison while being flashy and being creative.
Completely legitimate question. And one to start a fight every time. There have been 2 drummers in the past that have completely changed everything about drummers. A guy named Buddy Rich and a guy named Neil Peart. You may have heard of a band called rush? Anyway, those were game changers. There are a million fantastic drummers out there but those 2 changed everything when they came on the scene. This guy is the third game changer. He is going to revolutionize the way people view the drums. There probably is not a better drummer on the planet right now.
if you liked this cover you definitely should check his Eminem's Godzilla cover, to me it's his best so far. love your reactions, always a blast when people discover the Grooverfather for the first time
He’s bouncing the stick back and forth between the rim and the drum, it’s called a gravity blast

His Linkin Park - Numb cover is unreal as well.
You haven't seen anything yet. He even does Slipknot and other metal group covers using only 1 hand. He's simply incredible.
"It's obviously sped up!"... that video is especially brilliant :)
Thou i Admire the one handed videos, 1 foot videos etc.....That Gravity blast /rim shoot groove is one of the most tasty thing I ever heard on drums...
As a drummer in a past life, this man is reinventing drumming in real time, his talent is out of this world.
I am just a hobby drummer here in my home but this is out of the world advanced. He is using techniques that he has invented on his own. And the consistency of his hits are amazing they sound exactly the same every time. I’ve been drumming and around drums most of my life and I’m 71 years old and this guy is the best I’ve ever seen
he is so addictive to watch, impersonification of dedication

This guy motivated me to start learning drums at 55! His Knights of Cydonia cover is awesome too, knowledge or not his footwork is incredible, that's where 8hrs a day practice gets you....
His cymbal chokes are a work of art...
The main thing all but the most observant of drummers mention is how consistent his drum sound is, despite different stick movements the sound is the same volume and intensity.
Best thing on the internet. I'm trying to post in as many reactions to this as I can... Mind blown... Watched it 100 times, can't get enough.
He is awesome🤘 So fun watching him play and do these tricks. Pure entertainment 🎶🥁

I always love watching people's faces when he does that first disgusting gravity blast.
I can confidently say El Estepario is the greatest to ever do it!!! God tier!!!
8:59 He is the best drummer on the planet right now. NO CAP!!

Do more ! Like you I know nothing about drums but this guy is amazing
He’s one of the best right now. But his showmanship really puts him above rest. Music is supposed to also be entertaining, and he really leans in to that. Bonus points for sure
Just start watching. Either his shorts, or full songs that you love. START WITH "SYSTEM OF A DOWN ON HANDPAN"!!!!
He's either AI, or he's got a quad core brain. He literally has complete independent control of what his limbs are playing, even when off time from each other.
Welcome to the EES rabbit hole, he’s an absolute beast. Check out his 1 handed drumming (it’ll blow your mind) and The Bongo Song…..outrageous
Ever do the tap your head rub your belly thing as a kid and it was hard because doing two different things i with your arms is hard. Try all 4 limbs in unison while being flashy and being creative.
Haha your reaction to the gravity blasts 😂
They don't call him the Grove Father for nothing.
#1 for sure
You have to check out yannis papadopoulos ghost love score, will blow your mind !!

👍
Nothing he does is normal, I’ve been following him for about a year
Also, check out his cover of Godzilla by Eminem if you really want your mind blown. He keeps up with Em's lyrical speed and more. It's intense! 🤘
I can tell you that I think he is the GOAT, there may be a a better drummer? I have not seen one.
You should check out his 1 handed drumming.
3:55 This is definitely NOT a normal technique. 😂😂
His right hand is using 2 sticks to hit top and bottom of brass
There’s talk he may be the next Slipknot drummer
This guy's brain is broke up into about 16 different parts 😮
El Estepario Siberiano literally translates to The Siberian Steppe.
Seriously Him and Tommy should get together for collabs!
At 5:12 he fliped left hand stick into right so right hand is playing two sticks.at 536 he throws one stick away and its hard to see it
I highly recommend you check out Luke Holland and his cover of "Cinema revisited". It is also incredible for similar reasons.
Yeah he is that fast.
