I would like to adopt Mandy as my grand dad. Both of mine (and a few step-grand dads) passed before I knew them. So if I had to choose one, I think I'd go with Mandy.
I’ve literally just watched a man clean a fish tank and enjoyed it absurdly. And all without a whisper of schadenfreude! This differs greatly from my childhood experiences watching my father clean the fish pond. That process involved getting the siphoning going not with a bubble, but with him on one end of the garden hose slurping. Watching him get a mouthful of yucky leaf and poo containing fish pond water on an annual basis was a very enjoyable childhood memory.
Hello, I am a supervisor at the gate at Disneyland. I had the pleasure of helping you with an issue with your tickets. It was a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for being so kind. I hope you had a great day!!❤
I loved it when Mandy asked Kathryn - Can you do me a helper favor and squeeze that little bulb? You just can’t make this stuff up. 😂 This made my day! ☮️❤️🌈🌞
I have had tanks forever. You don’t need to remove all established plants, in fact best you don’t. It disturbs the balance of the water. Cleaning the gravel and the pump parts is all that’s necessary. Or you will keep seeing fish die. Consider getting a pleco to handle the algae on the glass. Over cleaning is a big problem with new tankers. ( as often as undercleaning). But good for you. A tank is very calming.
@@toneluy8343 he will learn. It’s a process. We have all been there. Hey Mandy, there’s a ton of great little videos on RUclips to help you. If you can handle Homeland you can handle some tiny fish.
I’ve told my friends in northern Vermont, who defend against ticks in the same way as Mandy that I would rather die of Lyme disease than walk around with my pants tucked into the top of my socks!
To me, there is nothing more relaxing then watching fish. I had a 100 gal tank and boy, do I miss it. They are a lot of work and a bit pricey, especially now, but, if I could I’d have more.
Ok how funny are you 3! Mandy you are a treasure! Those pants and socks ! Katherine just love you ! your a good sport and your son knows how to push your buttons! Love it !
This brought a smile to my face. I have also had a fish tank, similar size, it was relaxing and stressful. A big learning curve on the do’s and don’ts of ‘how to keep the fish alive’. I felt like I needed to be a chemist learning about Ph levels etc 😂. I read somewhere to just find fish that like your water and don’t over do things (like over cleaning the tank as another person commented). Good luck!
This is the start of ten years of ever-larger tanks, then switching over to salt water, until after 10 years, you will finally decide that you've killed enough fish, and then, the tank will go, and you'll get another dog. Enjoy!!!
Gideon…I think this is definitely a time when your dad exerted extreme patience with you as he was trying to complete this task. I would have asked you to produce a “silent film.” 😉
Mandy, be careful. My Dad got a fish tank and fish when I was a kid. We ended up with about 14 fish tanks all over the house and LOTS of fish. 😅🤣 Rock Chalk Jay Hawk 😉
I had a doctor who recommended that i get a fish tank for relaxation! 🤣🤣🤣 I got it all set up, waited 3 days, put 6 neon tetras in, and went to bed. They were all dead in the morning. 😢 OMG, the guilt. It took a good year for it to become enjoyable.
Mandy needs a fish tank "scavenger" that eats all that crap up because they are bottom feeders and kind of like biological vacuum cleaners🐠 A "sucker fish" will do the job
Plecos eat algae. The only thing that eats poop is bacteria which will add to the nitrogen cycle eventually killing the fish. There's no avoiding water change in small systems like this.
The panning down to Mandy’s pants tucked into his socks is hilarious 😂
Mandy has gone country for quite a while me thinks... 😂
Their son knew we wanted that.
If walking dog, good way to avoid having ticks get to skin level
♥♥
There is no such thing as enough Mandy Patinkin.🥰
I love having a video from Mandy with my coffee!!! Thanks, Gideon!

And her understated protest, bulb in hand, “I’m supposed to be somewhere!”
“It’s a lot of pressure” 😂
How delightful that Mandy has discovered the joys of fish keeping. Those little albino Corys have always been favourites of mine.
I love Mandy. What a legend
Cleaning a fish tank is a mindful activity.
Ya, back off, Sonny Boy, with all your questions. 😂😂😂
Brilliant!❤❤❤

Agreed. He should leave the plants, its much better for them and the soil.

I've heard a fish tank and fish in the home bring good luck!! May it be in abundance!!
This was greatly enjoyable this morning, but I do feel that showing your father's tick bindings is out of bounds! lol
On the west coast, waking up to fish tank maintenance. Odd!y calming. ;)
Love the shoe and sock shot!
Been enjoying your channel for years. Also, just started Death and other Details. You did a great job in it. As always!
Mandy gives me Indiana Jones vibes in this outfit 😂I love it!
I love the way he dresses. I could never get my husband to wear those types of pants
The pan down to the socks was GOLD. More like this please.
The pressure in naming fish is precisely about “connecting” which he said he has not done. But he named “you”. 🤔

Dear Mr. Patinkin; Your acting chops are above reproach, but there is much for you to learn about keeping an aquarium! LOL. Very entertaining.
Fish tanks are toooo relaxing .....until they aren't ......you need a tank manager .....relax finally 😂😂😂
Haven't had a fish tank in awhile, but I seem to remember there were some fish to get that keep the tank clean. Snails.
Snails are great helpers. You still need to siphon, but like once a mont.
Ok how funny are you 3!

👍Another fun one!! 👍
Hoping to see your show in Fort Collins, unless you cancel in order to rescue your fish!

I need to do that, mine looks like a swamp & the fish love it!

I’m loving these slices of life! And I love aquariums too, all things aquatic :)

Sweet..brought back memories of my 20s.
Lost it when you zoomed in on Mandy's pants.
You guys are awesome ❤️love from Maine
I think fish tanks have been around since the 50's..I remember goldfish bowls back then...
french postcards is still one of my favorite movies what was valleri like
Tank you- Mandy & Kathryn 🐠🐟🐡🦈🐳❤🕊❤
hey, becky at 3:30 woof! woof!
Thanks for caring for them properly.
I wonder what catastrophic life altering incident happened that the pants need to be tucked into the socks all the time? Love these videos :)
He goes for daily walks in the woods and doesn’t want to get bitten by a tick. 😂 I remember him saying that in another video.
@@lene0nme123 That makes complete sense! Hehehehe It’s quite the fashion statement!
This is the best wake up video. By far
How many of us have inherited pets from our kids and grandkids raise your hand. ✋ 😂
You guys are the best!
love you guys! 🦌💌❤️🙏😊
Lol…the shoes..not nice Gideon
Wish I could find a guy just like him…
We all do♥
Wonder if I could do that with my Cat Litter 😏.
don't overfeed - major mistake & toxins build up, fish die & it's hard to get the water balanced again. fish are the best!
Just love you guys
Oh yah both sides are shitty😂
too bad this is laced with profanity. It burns my ears to hear it so I’ll have to opt for watching something else.
