I feel the opposite about Joker being in it. I believe that the whole story of the Arkham games were about the relationship(not like that) between Batman and Joker. Arkham Origins is about how they first met, and the origin of their dynamic. Bruce pushed people away and almost always ignored Alfred. If he didn't let people in his life, he would end up lonely and eventually be like the Joker. Arkham Asylum focused on Bruce and Joker in their prime. Both are well known to each other, and are their ideal selves to the DC fans. Arkham City focused on Batman trying to save a dying Joker, as he believes letting someone die is just as bad as killing them, despite that it would lead to the deaths of others. Arkham Knight is about how Batman is holding up with the Joker now deceased. Joker's blood is toxic and is slowly driving Batman mad. Just like the city of Gotham, Bruce is haunted by the clown's presence even after death. He's taken such a toll on everyone who's ever heard of him. And Batman's greatest fear was becoming like the Joker. TLDR: Joker is just as much of an important character in the Arkham games as Batman.
Man arkham knight would have been the best in the series if they focused on boss battles instead of tank battles, the game is gorgeous and the story itself is amazing telling us how batman got past the trauma of "killing" the joker
Pretty sure Batman has no trauma over “killing” Joker. He never let Joker die. He literally told Joker “I would have saved you,” but Joker’s dumbass decided to jump on Batman with a knife, causing Batman to drop and lose the only they had. Joker basically killed himself and stopped Batman from saving him. Not Batman’s fault.
@@gunnarswanson9438 batman in a lot of media has been portrayed as obsessed with human life to the point where he'll let himself die for a small chance of saving one person. Something that people didn't get is that the joker represents batman's fears, abandoning his friends, don't being capable to save the city, becoming the joker himself like the others. He fight this through the game due to scarecrow toxin.
