I’ve read his book and thought it was great and covered lots of things I didn’t know about his career.
My all time favourite rider with out a shadow of a doubt, went to see him race all over when British Speedway was at its peak and what a gentleman too, I’ll always remember watching one of the best riders that this country has produced.. Thanks PC for the memories loved every minute…👍🙂

Love PC he is a legend alright my favorite speedway photo pf all time is the 1980 world final when PC went to try to pass Dave Jessup on the outside which let Michael Lee under PC.
He could have stayed safe in second but in typical PC style he wound it on to try to win the race and would not settle.
The photo is taken from directly behind the three in the middle of the corner it is just fantastic it was in the book about the 1980 season when speedway book 1980 England Ian Thomas and Eric Boocock were the team managers.

One of my lasting race memories of pc was the saturday night meeting can't remember the other team i think that peter's father god bless him had passed away earlier in the week it was a sunny evening the track surface had a different look to it, it just looked as smooth as glass, not being a rider myself i don'tknow how that would change anything , as a rule peter would usually ride his first ride in i think heat 3 there was a change around for some reason and he came out in heat1 the tapes went up he got the gate went straight into the lead and pulled away from the others and maintained nearly half a lap for the whole race obviousley winning, everybody knew they had just witnessed something very special the commentator announced the race time with something like '' and peters time is wait for it a new track record beating ivan mauger's time with 67.9 second's'' the whole place erupted, that was how special peter was, thank's peter for some very great memories
