The Jain Temple // Ranakpur

This temple at Ranakpur actually has an interesting history. It is said that the local village women donated 90 ounces to fund the completion of the temple. The magnificent structure was built in the 15th century and is still standing over 600 years later! The temple is entirely constructed from white marble and has been carved in ornate patterns from ceiling to floor!
It's a bit of a drive but if you're on your way from Johdpur to Udaipur it's totally worth it!
