Jazz, electronica and a pizza box-our live music series returns for 2015.
Schwarz is a German electronic artist known for his records on Innervisions and his live shows in clubs; Wesseltoft is a Norwegian jazz pianist whose career began in the early '90s; Berglund is a Swedish jazz bassist who has been performing and recording for the past 20 years. Together they play a soft-spoken fusion of jazz, classical and electronica in a style that none of them could have conceived on his own. Later in the video, they explain their belief that analogue and digital both sound better when they're blended together, something that's easy to believe watching their Sessions film. Across two tracks and 20 minutes, electronic and acoustic sounds mingle beautifully. It's also the first Sessions film in which a musician plays a pizza box.

i think this is one of the best collab ever made.
This is so good! Bugge is from my hometown Skien, in Norway. A bit proud.
At first I was like, I'm not sure if I want to listen to this for 12 minutes. But once they've build up, it's so magical and amazing. I love it!
THIS IS SO BRILLIANT JEZUS
毎回この映像を見るとテンションが上がって何か努力をしなければと、夜中に仕事をしたりしてしまう。そして明日に具合が悪くなる。
人を動かすって本当にすごい。
This is by far the best thing I have seen this year.
Each of them are Absolutely brillant, a pure collaboration
Resident Advisor is really taking it to the next level with their RA Sessions. They are amazing and beautifully shot
Great musicians with fresh ideas !!!!
Dan Berglund is playing such an amazing, groovy bassline in the second song...love this video, 3 amazing talents coming together to create beautiful music...can't ask for more. Going to go see Henrik Schwarz at output tonight, can't wait!
Man, you could definitely hear the Esbjorn Svenson Trio in this. I feel like this is an ode, especially with Dan Berglund there. Beautiful.
Kabir Thind how can it not evoke E.S.T. especially when the last stuff sounded kinda like this. But, it's time to be present in the NOW, i keep tellin
g myself: this brings me joy in a different way than EST but its great...r.i.p. Esbjorn. We love you still:Thank u Dan and Magnus for still making music.

Mozart balls! A version similar to this is available on spotify.
chilla
I was in cologne Concert and was little disappointed to listen to so simple beats. I had prefer following dj's: Matmos, Amon Tobin or Aphex Twin.
i wonder why Bugge Wesseltoft and Dan Berglund are with Henrik Schwarz. im sure real musicians want to play with a real drummer and not some loops no?
and if i was Henrik Schwarz i wouldnt have the guts to be on stage with people that are really playing an instrument well, while all i do is mute and unmute some drums lol
im dead serious
***** of course it can be beatmached, its just harder to make it work, but its done all the time.
Cause it's the whole point of the project : mixing genres, sounds, and influences. Creating something new
