You save some money and it looks as good if not better, that was my thinking anyway. I bought all the materials myself and hired an electrician to do it. It wasn't cheap but you do same some cash. When you consider I was going to buy that mobile charger anyway, regardless of purchasing the wall connector or not, then the savings are even greater. It wouldn't justify it if the wall connecter was that much faster but honestly, this is fast enough and having a 220 in the garage is always a plus, never know if I might have another EV there in the future.

@@monkeyrunthe wall connector maxes at 40amps. A Tesla UMC is 32. It’s like an hour faster overall nothing crazy.
