I wouldn’t rush to draft a QB. It would be better to focus on fixing the rest of the roster next offseason. You start Dalton this season to see what you already have and where you have to improve. Use that first round pick to get the best player available. Then the year after focus on drafting a QB. We are in the mess we are in because they rushed to get a QB before the team around him was ready.

If Dalton plays well rest of year you could even plan on playing him next year. Draft other needs on the team. Plummer could be the future after that. He showed alot of improvement in a short time.

Wait! Are we forgetting about all the slow motion training camp footage with dramatic music and deep-voiced narration that the team released on it's website a few months ago. I watched those videos and thought we were going to the super bowl. Did the Panthers sell us false hope? Did they trick us into buying tickets? Are we really going 0-17? Cuz the videos play very differently. Why did they do that if we suck?
You never heard of Jack Plummer. They are already ahead of the game.

Jake Plummer would be the same as Bryce. They have to find a way to stabilize the offense so it can at least be competitive enough to see what’s good and bad on the offensive side of the roster.
If Andy Dalton plays well then keep him for next year and Draft QB next year.....

Panthers shouldn't obsess about finding another QB first. Ride the Dalton/Young combo for this year and next and build out the rest of a team. Then roll the dice again.
Bryce Young does not have NFL starting QB talent - in any facet of the game. He's not fast enough. He's not perceptive enough. He's not big enough to see the field. His arm is not particularly strong. He's not an alpha leader. There is literally nothing about his game - NOT ONE THING - that is better than 5/10.

I mean...this is it right here. I've been to every home game he played. I watched him live. He has somehow fooled the media, and of course many fans just wait to be told what to think. But anyone who has ACTUALLY WATCHED HIM can easily see that he is nowhere near talented enough to play in the NFL. Anyone who watched would know to never draft him earlier than the 3rd round, and it would still be a bad pick. HE ISNT GOOD! The world is turning into that movie Idiocracy, I swear. ANYONE in the media should watch him and then tell you he is nowhere near NFL talented and how massively stupid you would have to be to draft him. If there is anyone telling you anything different, you are dealing with a stupid person, or someone who hasn't watched him at all. Just repeat over and over that Bryce will 100% not succeed anywhere else. It is impossible, and you are dumb if you even think different.

I disagree. Bryce just needs to take a breather. Bro is 2-16, let him get used to being an NFL QB while you build a good roster. Instant gratification is a killer. We have to be patient. Bryce needs to understand that.

Im still trying to understand what they are getting out of benching Bryce Young it doesn’t make sense. This is an organization situation. DO lose the lock room training camp long experience but Dave Canales was saying Bryce Young was doing good in training camp so it makes no sense.

When you take a look back to Carolina's two Super Bowl team years, look at the QBs they had. First, against New England they had Jake Delhomme. Delhomme was a fiery competitor who clicked with Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammad. He the team rallying around him. Second, against Denver they had Cam Newton. Now, personally, I didn't like Newton's cockiness and brash attitude, but he was charismatic and fun-loving and he the team rallying around him. That's the traits of good quarterbacks....take charge leadership. Motivating the team. Delhomme and Newton knew how to keep the team motivated. Bryce Young, on the other hand, seems to be a broken man. Since he can't seem to motivate himself, then we can't expect the team to be motivated. I don't expect Andy Dalton to lead us to the playoffs, but he may just provide a spark to make this team competitive.
I guarantee Carson Beck, Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward, Jalen Milroe all have better physical attributes and are more athletic than Bryce Young. People say they don’t like the qb class which is fine but every year there are at least 2 good qb prospects. Personally I want Jalen Milroe he has a cannon of an arm and he’s a threat in the run game He’s good at making reads. We could sign Jacoby Brissett and then have Jalen Milroe sit a year to learn the offense.
Browns: ignoring Otto Graham, who is arguably the greatest QB of all time: Bernie Kosar was excellent, and they had a guy in Baker Mayfield but screwed up and ditched him because they are dysfunctional. But yeah, between Kosar and Mayfield there were nearly two decades of ineptitude, minus the three years when there was no Browns team at all. Remember, though, they were an expansion team coming out of the 1996-98 vacuum, so even that is a little bit overstated.
the funniest thing is when Derek Anderson had 1 good season, only to throw 4 picks in the 1st half of the last game and cost them the playoff spot they got so hyped up and then he was never that good again. Another guy with Carolina Panther connection.

How much talent has been traded and how much draft capital wasted in pursuit of a bridge and/or franchise QB since Tepper bought the Panthers? Seriously, how much? I've lost count, but it is a boatload. Time for the Panthers to build a solid team from the trenches outward and roll with Dalton or his equivalent for a season or two. Maybe the Panthers can find their QB in the 2026 or 2027 draft, and maybe, that pick will be willing to sign here once it is clear the Panthers are no longer a dysfunctional organization.
I mean it's not that complicated. Tepper made an absolutely terrible and risky bet that had a horrible chance of working out. He thought he could trade his great talent for 1 guy that has SUPER INSANE talent that can carry an entire crappy roster. A talent that is so generational that is has not been in 50 years. That's what he thought Bryce was.
If he post the bet, which means he is a bust, he sets the team back a minimum of 5 years. I said this before the draft happened. We'll, Tepper is not mentally there so obviously he shouldn't be in charge of picking players. "It's his team, he can pick" yup, sure can, and he is stupid, so this is what happens. He doesn't know football at all.
Bryce will not succeed at another team. Before he was drafted it was very obvious he should not go in the 1st or 2nd round at all. I don't care what the media and pundits say, they just parrot what they are told to say, and they parrot stupid people or people with agendas. Bryce's highlights are actually on youtube. That's right, anyone can go look right and see why he will be a bust. Take away the highlights where he has a 5 yard buffer in the pocket because the line was on another level. They dominated and he could sit down and throw it because nobody was close. Take away the plays where he scrambles for 8 seconds and then throws. What do you have left? Nothing! That's what he'll play like in the NFL.
You will not constantly have a pocket to sit back for 9 seconds and throw anytime you want. If you're slower and tiny, you are not going to scramble in the NFL every other play. You are going to get your ass rocked. He never had to process because he never had to throw the ball in 2 seconds. He can't throw from the pocket because he is freaking 5'-8". He can't scrambles because it's the NFL. It's so obvious it's not even funny. This is why the pundits are stupid and you shouldn't listen. They literally just guess or parrot other pundits. Bryce was always a bust, and Bryce WILL NOT succeed in the NFL. If you see a pundit say anything different, you are listening to a stupid person. There is no debate about this. Just shut them up or leave.
If it was bad with Bryce it's going to be horrific with Dalton. This is 100% Tepper's doing I guarantee it.

At this point the Panthers are just gonna draft another bust. It was clear as day last year that Bryce wasn't completely ready and should have sat behind Andy Dalton. If you watched the Seattle game, Frank Reich had a decent offense when Andy Dalton ran it but Bryce struggled a lot in it. But instead of sitting him like Mahomes or Jordan Love, Tepper forced their hand to start him right away so he could get a "told you so" about how good Bryce was and how he was the right pick. The focus was never on developing Bryce into a franchise QB, it was proving that Tepper is a genius at identifying successful traits in people. Bet the same bullshit happens with whoever they draft next.

I'm in a rush for a QB. Pick the best one available whether you #1 pick or #4 pick which people seem so scared of getting like many HOFers haven't been picked there before. Cam Ward is my pick. Cam Ward got the talent, he has the intangibles and he has the "dog" in him and the swagger to actually change a franchise. I think Carolina needs a QB because with Tepper and the past few years free agents aren't gonna want to come here unless we get that star QB. If we get Cam Ward and he play like Stroud which I think he can then you will see free agents want to team up with him (like Diggs and Mixon in Texans). We are going to need to go that route because we lack alot of draft picks. This is why I think "fixing other spots first" isn't the right strategy. We need that Franchise QB to turn this ship around.
