Louella Jane Tamboboy DBSK5 is the first and one of the Kpop groups I love the most, complete packages from visual, voices (live), dances, and composing their own song. Too bad SM can't create another group like that. I rmmbr in the past, people compare Winner to them and I DO really hope (and believe) Winner will be like them too. Let's be honest, Winner might be the only third generation idol group who has all the skills : strong vocals+rap,dances, appearances, and self composed-produced songs. PLUS they can harmonise with each other. Other group usually just sing their own line individually and when they sing together, they just sing same note and range.
I really like "Empty" but I love "Color Ring." "Empty" sounds a bit generic, in my opinion. I love the acoustic & electric guitar combo with the piano in "Color Ring" as it gives off a bit of an alternative rock sound. The harmony by the members (rappers and vocalists) perfectly pairs up with that sound giving off more raw emotions and leaving behind a deeper impact. But the live performance of this song by WINNER is even better. The emotions feel so real. If a group consisting of multi-talented or versatile individuals are able to successfully express such emotions together thru their very first televised debut performance then you've definitely got yourself a monster group of artists. DBSK was ridiculously amazing as 5 but I feel that WINNER has the potential to become something even bigger and better than DB5K.
DBSK will always be my top group. In fact they were a masterpiece all five of them together. I pretty much like all of their songs. And I miss them as 5 so much. As 5, every song they sang live was simple incredible how I would kill to see them in pubic again. But Winner, I don't want to get too much in the hype, their debut was really nice. It took me a while to get into Empty, I can't wait to see more from them. I wish them success. (but please YG, we need a BIG BANG COMEBACK PLEASE).
Yes! I was so shocked when I found out that the one singing at the beginning was Seunghoon and not Jinwoo! Omg the fact that everyone in the group can sing makes me love them even more ❤

Bonita Nacua Mino wrote a lot on the album. If you look at the credits it almost looks like he participated more. KSY is good but I don't agree he is like GD. I don't think he has near as much writing skills yet. That's why several members of winner help write, not just KSY. Each different style is imoprtant to the group
Jinwoo , Dara ,and seungri are the visuals that's why they don't get as much lines because they are the looks of the group.. Yes they are still talented and can sing but they are the ones with the softer and weaker voices in there groups
Swedina Yolanda BB never had a so-called face or visual in their early days as they were considered "ugly" and got alot of hate then. TOP was more known for his charismatic rapper role than his looks. It was only when he started dabbling in acting and doing movies that his good looks got noticed. GD was probably the face of the group in the popularity sense that when ppl think of BB, GD comes to mind. If based on looks, I guess you can say TOP is the visual.
TOP is the visual, and GD is the face. Visual means the most handsome, but the face of the group is the most well known member. Though TOP is the handsomest, G-Dragon is the most popular. When people think of BIGBANG, GD is the first one that comes to mind
What I love about Winner is that they are different. Not the usual boy groups evident nowadays. Plus, their vocals are excellent and their songs are on point. I love it!!!!! I think they will be big!
but then everybody else in kpop started copying their concept. First, Big Bang was the model for kpop boy bands to imitate.. Then Winner.. they need to give credit for Winner and YG for this model-classy concept for their outfits.. back then, kpop boybands would wear snapbacks, jeans, shorts, sneakers etc lol.
This stage..simple as it may seemed..represent WINNER's individuality.Notice how from the start Jinwoo is in the middle..implying that he's the visual(undeniably naturally goodlooking!) Minho's deep vocal and Seunghoon's falsetto(OMG rappers can sing!)Seungyoon's powerful voice and stage presence(surprise! he just rap))Taehyun's cool voice and chic image. Being vocally different from each other and they manage that cool harmonization in the end.. show their versatility. Bet they won't stick to one genre coz they can definitely do so. I thought the studio version was amazing... and then I heard this... I think my heart is gonna explode. The feels and the emotions are so overwhelming. The whole group has amazing vocals, even the rappers. It is like they are having a comeback performance, not a debut performance... These are the true monster rookies. I know i sound selfish but i just can't help but felt that mino 'looks' better off as the team leader. I m not used to seeing him standing at the back u_u prolly because of how much he reminded me of gd and the fact that he's originally the leader. I was so surprised that the second line was sang by seung hoon. Never expected that he has such a smooth and gentle sound when he sang (cuz usually he raps with such a passion). Bravo man!!! Jinwoo , Dara ,and seungri are the visuals that's why they don't get as much lines because they are the looks of the group.. Yes they are still talented and can sing but they are the ones with the softer and weaker voices in there groups

Swedina Yolanda BB never had a so-called face or visual in their early days as they were considered "ugly" and got alot of hate then. TOP was more known for his charismatic rapper role than his looks. It was only when he started dabbling in acting and doing movies that his good looks got noticed.
GD was probably the face of the group in the popularity sense that when ppl think of BB, GD comes to mind. If based on looks, I guess you can say TOP is the visual.

This stage..simple as it may seemed..represent WINNER's individuality.Notice how from the start Jinwoo is in the middle..implying that he's the visual(undeniably naturally goodlooking!) Minho's deep vocal and Seunghoon's falsetto(OMG rappers can sing!)Seungyoon's powerful voice and stage presence(surprise! he just rap))Taehyun's cool voice and chic image. Being vocally different from each other and they manage that cool harmonization in the end.. show their versatility. Bet they won't stick to one genre coz they can definitely do so. So much talent these guys have that they even write/compose their own songs. WINNER don't just win my adoration..but my respect as well!!!

I thought the studio version was amazing... and then I heard this... I think my heart is gonna explode. The feels and the emotions are so overwhelming. The whole group has amazing vocals, even the rappers. It is like they are having a comeback performance, not a debut performance... These are the true monster rookies. I want to hear them perform the other songs from their album as well! Apart from the two amazing title songs XD
I still can't believe they actually debuted. SeungHoon looks so good. The stage looks so good. Love the "W" they were standing on.

I know i sound selfish but i just can't help but felt that mino 'looks' better off as the team leader. I m not used to seeing him standing at the back u_u prolly because of how much he reminded me of gd and the fact that he's originally the leader. I'm not trying to say seungyoon is not great just that aesthetically mino just looks more right heh. rapper line 😍

So that would mean that if Mino looks "right" to be the leader then Seung Yoon looks wrong to be it then... right? Lol. I didn't know someone can look "right" to be a leader though. Well, I think "being" a leader is more important than "looking" like a leader. And I think each member is already a leader some way somehow even if they don't carry the title or role of a group leader.

I was so surprised that the second line was sang by seung hoon. Never expected that he has such a smooth and gentle sound when he sang (cuz usually he raps with such a passion). Bravo man!!! Love how the rap and the melody went on so well. The rap almost sound like a melody to me. Love love love this debut stage!
